Really enjoyed meeting the Gallaghers and seeing how this all turned out. The story keeps a very good pace that kept me engaged the whole read.
All of her books are great.
All the stories in the Sweetwater series just leave me wanting more. I really enjoy reading stories where people in communities come together and really care for each other.
This book was so good that I had to add each and everyone book in the series to my must read list.
Good read!
The author has a whole slew of characters she weaves into her stories. And she does a great job of weaving. Her writing style makes it easy to get a real sense of everyone’s personalities. I’ll continue to read her books for more captivating stories about the little Texas town of Sweetgrass.
Great beginning 4.5 stars
Loved Ian and Scarlett. Both were able to free themselves of issues from their past. Ruby was able to get a little closure and the love of a granddaughter. Both Ruby and Scarlett had sassy characters that were fun to read about.
Great beginning to the Series. A quick, engaging read for of love, romance, loyalty to family and friends, and a strong sense of community. The chemistry between Ian and Scarlett didn’t hurt either.
10/8/18 update for Audio version:
Once again, Eric Dove brought life to an already excellent story. It gave an enhanced feeling to the characters and the overall feel of the story.
I voluntarily listened and reviewed this audio book received from the author.
Texas Roots offers everything but the kitchen sink. Brashear has crafted a ghostly tale of love lost and hopes revisited. Scarlett and Ian are a bit players in a tale as intriguing as the shadows that haunt the legendary fabled spring that serves as a backdrop for this small town. Scarlett is on the run from demons in her past. Her getaway provides her the chance to get answers to some long overdue questions about herself and the family she never knew existed. Ian is her chance at salvation. He rescues her from a life full of loneliness and she shows him the meaning of true love. With the forces determined to tear them apart, can they break the curse of the woman with a broken heart and find their own chance at forever? As always Brashear and Dove make a great team when it comes to captivating romance.

These Characters in this Story are Absolutely Wonderful & Sweet.
The Story & Characters in this story was easy to read. I really enjoyed reading the Book. There are not a lot of Sex Scenes in this Story, Albeit the Story was well written & Flowed Wonderfully.
To find out you have Family you never knew you had would shake anyone up.
To be involved in a crime your boyfriend was & used you in had to wreak havoc on anyone as well. Scarlett not knowing what was going on tried to keep herself & anyone she knew away from it & knowing about as well.
Didn’t help.
