KC Montgomery witnesses Drake Gentry’s break up with Magda at Leo’s Bar and Grill. Bringing him a beer, he shares he was going to take her to Sand Castle Resort for two weeks of Sand, Sun, and Surfing. KC jumps in and says she’s in, but Drake doesn’t get it. Leo on the other hand does and gives Drake a verbal slap in the head. Now he has some groveling to do.
He manages to convince her he’s sincere but she has her own non-negotiable demands.
The vacation is all Drake and KC could have imagined and so much more.
This is a short but satisfying read, filled with fun and plenty of antics and some melt your kindle scenes. All set on a gorgeous tropical island.
K.C. talks Drake into taking her along on a vacation that he originally planned on going with another woman. Two weeks of fun, sun, sand and sex! This is a fun. fast, steamy, sexy read. If both K.C. and Drake open their hearts they might just get a love that lasted a lifetime
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book is filled with SSSSS — sun, sand sea…you get the picture. It SIZZLES!
Drake Gentry had been married to Olivia Montgomery. Her cousin KC stood up in their wedding, despite having a girlhood crush on the groom. It just wasn’t the perfect match.
In fact, Drake’s track record with women is sort of abysmal and has him wondering what is wrong with him. K.C. thinks he is perfect, and when the chance arises, as another woman dumps him, invites herself on his already paid for two week deluxe vacation. She works hard and deserves a break!
The deal is no strings beyond the two weeks. Drake doesn’t even ask for sex, but K.C. insists upon it!
When they return from the perfect vacation and Drake doesn’t even call, how can K.C. make him understand she’s waiting for him to make his move? She knows they are a perfect match.
This quick read is HOT HOT HOT!
Cynthia D’Alba does it again in Book 3 “Texas Fandango” when she brings us back to Whispering Springs, Texas. KC Montgomery has had a crush on Drake Gentry when she was 11 and he was 17. She was his best friends little sister so that kept her off limits. Fast forward a ‘few years’ and Drake finds himself dumped after planning a romantic holiday to the Sand Castle Resort in the Caribbean. KC tells him that he should take her. He thinks she’s just joking until the bartender tells him she has a thing for him. When he brings it up to KC at her house she says she will go with him, and have sex with him, but that when they come back he would go about his life in Dallas and she would’ve had a romantic, no strings, well needed vacation (very steamy scenes in paradise.) Even the best laid plans can be faulty. They both find themselves wanting each other afterwards but too afraid to broach the subject.
This is another quick, sexy novella in the author’s series titled Whispering Springs, TX. Though a stand alone, I would suggest that you read the previous stories so you can enjoy it even more.
This one centers around KC Montgomery, lawyer extraordinaire . She has had a crush for family friend, Drake Gentry, since she was in her teens. He’s always with a woman and when the last one dumps him when he was just about to offer a trip to a Caribbean island, KC offers to go , no strings attached. But the best laid plans usually end up getting tangled up.
Another enjoyable story in this series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
This is a book that completely caught me off guard and I’m so happy it was written. You have heard about KC and Drake in the books before it. I have to say they were not what I thought they would be like. I was genuinely surprised and happy.
Take Drake for instance, you read about him before and while nothing bad was written about him, you were left with an impression. I though he was going to be this slightly dorky man that was in love with his ex wife and wasn’t willing to move on. KC was the same. She is one of the lawyers in town and with very little of a description of her, I just think she is this straight laced woman who runs in the same crowd as the couples from the other books.
I am so glad I read this and was completely wrong. I was blown away. I loved Drake from the moment we see him in this book and I understand where KC is coming from.
This book was not only a surprise but a joy also. I highly recommend it.
A quick read and a good series to read. Each can be read as a standalone but you get the story of all the characters by following the series. Well written and perfectly paced pulling you in from the start. The Montgomery family is a large family with cousins added in to keep it interesting.
Having met both KC Montgomery and Drake Gentry in previous books in this series, it was enjoyable reading their story. An attraction carried over since they were teenagers is fanned into flames as KC presents Drake with an offer he cannot refuse. As a result they find themselves on a Carribean Island enjoying sun, sea and good food. The attraction between them exceeds everything else they experience on their Island holiday. However, they had an agreement between them, and that doesn’t include an ongoing relationship when they return home again. It takes a little too much wine and the town’s most desperate woman to make them realise that there is more to their relationship than they were willing to admit. This book definitely needs to come with an age restriction but it was enjoyable nevertheless. Although the story is part of a series and characters from previous books appear in this one as well, it is a standalone with a happy conclusion, and can be read as such. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I enjoyed reading KC and Drake’s story. They share a past. And now a recent fling. KC is secretly hoping for more than a fling though. As this couple works through their issues, we get to see their love blossom. I will definitely be reading the other books in this series!
This was a very unique story with very interesting characters and a wonderful plot. I loved the characters, how the story unfolds, and the turmoil that really pulls the reader in. I could not put this book down I was so hooked I read it at one setting.
KC has always had her eye on Drake she has loved him from afar for so many years. When his girlfriend dumps him she sees her chances to make all her dream well most of them come true. KC is a very smart and intelligent woman with a body and beauty on her side she goes after what she wants. Her friend needs a shoulder to lean on which she just happens to have a few of. When he said the one thing he was looking forward to is the vacation he had planned she puts her own plan in to motion. When he hears it seriously who could turn down such a women who is about to give him all he has wanted, wonderful nights filled with passion who could ask for more…..
The author gives you a refreshing plot that pulls you in keeping you hooked from the first page. She throws in a few twists to keep you entertained with wonderful characters you can relate to. The ending was outstanding and just has you smiling as these two dance around their true feelings. I love how the romance comes to life, how they both really want the same things but afraid to put it into words. With this much passion, control is lost and long with their minds. Something has got to give as tempter rises things are about to get even more heated before they can work out just what they truly want. This was a short fun read that will make you smile, want to shake a few people and just smile all the way to the end.
