Good story within an historical time. Strong female characters.
Good story
I liked this book and enjoyed reading it. I really liked the characters and how they interacted with each other. They really had you rooting for them. Really enjoyed this book.
couldnt finish it
Interesting setting in Santa Anna Texas.
What is it about westerns where they don’t think character development is necessary?
Loved it.
Happy to report, NO CLIFFHANGER, Good read, good pace, Will read another by this author
“Texas Desire” is an extremely exciting novel to read. The characters become
so three dimensional to the reader that
a reader feels as if these people are
actually real (although some were ie.,
Sam Houston, Santa Ana!!). However,
the main protangonist is Olivia, along with her extended, loving family. Due to her bravery and eventually learning
to love herself as well as others, the
book takes us through the Texas War for Independence from Mexico.
All in all, I hated to see the book end, but it did end happily, with true love
winning out for everyone!!
I liked this book. I enjoy historical fiction and this book is about Texas history. It was entertaining and held my attention very well.
For once our story is about a Texian woman. Olivia is a strong Mexican woman who works for the freedom of Texas from Mexico. She is knowledgeable about healing and has worked as a guerilla against Santiana. She saves our hero Cade who is dieing from an injury and love developes. I like her a lot.
Slow moving and predictable. Quit reading about halfway through and found another book.
A story written during the time of the fight for independence of Texas. Exciting moments of battles and escaping the aftermath. Woven in all the turmoil is a budding romance between two people caught up in the war.
Was a little to wordy but other than that it was ok
Amazing storyline and I loved every moment of the book.
I like that the book brings in some Texas history beginning with the Alamo and Santa Ana. Lots of bad guys throughout who try to harm the two main characters. Good ending.
I stopped right away. I don’t like romance novels.
Stiff dialogue and unrealistic plot. Oversimplified. Wouldn’t read this author again.
I was disappointed in the many typos, but the story was good. I liked that it had a strong female character.
A little repetitive in places, but overall aok!
