Gabriella Torres loves returning to her hometown of San Antonio for the holidays–the decorations, the magic and her large family. As icing on the cake, she will serve as midwife for one of her cousins. Her Christmas visit also provides a temporary distraction from a looming obligation. Luke Davenport has traveled half-way around the world to accept the role as town doctor in San Antonio. But … Antonio. But when he arrives to complete domestic chaos, the sheriff offers his hospitality, Luke, who’s grown up alone on the rough streets of London, can’t turn down the offer and enjoys the glimpse of a large and friendly family. While he’s embraced by all, Luke tries to keep his distance. His past remains a threat and the alluring Gabby Torres makes him dream of a brighter but impossible future.
When Gabby learns that Luke has never truly experienced Christmas, she sets out on a mission…to make this Christmas the best that Luke could ever have. As they spend intimate moments together, Luke begins to lose his heart to the woman who is showing him what life as part of a family could be like and Gabby finds it challenging to deny her attraction to the handsome, skilled, and kind doctor.
When the ghosts of their pasts rise up to haunt them, will Christmas magic and love be strong enough to guarantee the happiness they’ve always dreamed of?

Loved, loved this book. It was very entertaining and a quick read. Gabriella is a very strong character. The book is centered around the Christmas season. which I love. Christmas is Gabriella’s favorite time of the year. Luke is a new comer to town. She thinks he is crashing on her family time. The two clash for a while. She doesn’t like Luke because he is a medical doctor and she is a healer, but both find an everlasting bond.
Did not like it
A sweet clean story.
Enjoyable reading typical of its type. It did have a few surprises to make it interesting.
Didn’t enjoy this one as much as the one about an older sister. It was a good read and had its own plots.
clean
Cannot describe how badly I wanted to slap the h, Gabby, and I am a very laid back woman! Her arrogance and rudeness is truly beyond the pale.
very good story
Light reading
I read the first book in the series several years ago. And when I first started reading this I was so excited to realize that it was a continuation of that book. I love the characters I love the way it ended wonderful book. Please keep on writing I love your style.
A great look into the history of the area and its people.
Was a good book
These characters are their own worst enemy. They fight. with themselves more than each other.
I couldn’t put this book down. It’s full of conflict and I just wanted to see how everything was resolved from beginning to end.
Holly Costillo wrote a romantic sweet story that was a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining read. I will be inclined to read this story once again.
Beautiful well written story! Loved the Spanish tradition of the story ! Reminded me of our Christmas tradition ! Highly recommend reading
enjoyed, would recommend
Liked the book very much!!
A very pleasant read. The whole, “I’m not good enough for you” routine was a little overdone at times, but all in all a nice, heartwarming story.
I love this series! Texas history woven into a wonderful love story, it couldn’t be better!
