Cat detective meets doggie witness… What could possibly go wrong? I’m finally coming to terms with the fact I can speak to animals, even though the only one who ever talks back is the crabby tabby I’ve taken to calling Octo-Cat. What I haven’t quite worked out is how to hide my secret… strange new talent of mine and insists I use it to help defend his client against a double murder charge. To make things worse, Octo-Cat has no intention of helping either of us.
Our only hope rests on an unhinged Yorkie named Yo-Yo, who hasn’t quite figured out his owner is dead. Can we find a way to get Yo-Yo to help solve the murder without breaking his poor doggie heart?

Hilarious and quirky! Perfect cozy read!
Molly is easing into her newfound abilities and connection with Octo, who is very demanding. Most times, dogs & cats do not blend well, such is sort of the case with this dynamic duo. I think Molly shows some progress and does better with her sleuthing as well as with taking care of Octo. I enjoyed reading this fast-paced, fun and entertaining addition to the cozy series. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.
Octo-cat and Angie help Yo-Yo the yorkie solve a murder. Still a good read but I didn’t feel the connection Octo-cat and Angie had in first book. I was given a free book by the author . My review is freely and honestly given
This is the second book featuring Angie and Octo Cat. There interactions are funny because Octo is so spoiled. When a coworker finds out she can talk to her cat he wants her to talk to a dog that may be the only witness to a murder. Add in Angie’s grandmother Nan and a high strung dog and you have a story that is worth reading.
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. Again Angie and Octo-Cat are in charge of talking to the animals involved in this one a Yorkie named Yo-Yo. A great deal of fun in the way Angie has to deal with Octo-Cat and a fun series to follow.
Totally enjoyable and fun read! Perfect story for lovers of dogs and cats!
I just finished Terrier Transgressions by Molly Fitz . This is a second book in the Pet Whisperer P.I. series. Mysteries are not my normal genre to read but I have been wanting to try a few cozy mysteries and I love dogs and cats, so I decided to give this series a try. In book one, the premise seemed a bit silly at first. Angie, a young paralegal, almost gets electrocuted by a faulty coffee maker, When she revives, she discovers she can talk to the cat (Octo-Cat) owned by a sweet old lady who was recently murdered. Angie and the cat team up to solve the murder. In book two, an older couple is murdered and the only witness is their beloved Yorkie, Yo-Yo. Angie cannot talk to the dog but Octo-Cat can. Angie, a young lawyer named Charles, Angie’s Aunt Nan and Yo-Yo and Octo all work together to solve the crimes.
These are totally enjoyable and fun reads. These are light heated mysteries with plenty of plot twists. What I like best is that the author captures the real essence of dog and cat personalities. The animal’s words and actions are so typical. This really adds to the enjoyment of the stories. I cannot wait to read more books in this series. Loads of fun and happy reading.
This series is hilarious and book two does not let you down. The chaos this woman creates on her own, not including talking to Octo-Cat, makes me think she should be locked up. It’s good thing she doesn’t have a man in her life. She would have driven him mad or accidentally killed him. Life is never boring and neither is this book.
TERRIER TRANSGRESSIONS is the second book in the Pet Whisperer, P.I. series. If you haven’t read the first story, it is recapped, but I strongly recommend reading them all and in the order of release.
It turns out that Angie’s superpower isn’t like Doctor Doolittle. She will need Octo-Cat to interpret the petrified whimpers of a traumatized terrier in order to defend a suspected murderer.
There are an increasing number of people who know Angie’s secret. A secret shared is no longer a secret. Where might this lead in future books? In any case, the characters are wonderful and the interaction is realistic.
In the meantime, these light, fun, easy to read, cozy mysteries are perfect to share with your family with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments to take the edge off the somber theme of a double homicide witnessed by a Yorkie who loves his parents. I’m looking forward to more from this series.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Angie and Octo-Cat are on the case again, though not by choice this time. I love the humor in this series and the conversations between the humans and animals. The twist, turns, laughs and tears are non-stop in this story and I enjoyed every moment.
“…Whatever the case, it wasn’t fair for Thompson to move him clear across the country only to set him up to fall on the sword at the first available opportunity. I needed to help him win this case, and not just because the office would feel sad and empty without him… But also because it was the right thing to do.”
Angie Russo still works part time at Thompson and Associates even though she’d been electrocuted by the coffee pot in the office, coming to to find she could now talk to animals. She’s still working there, in part because she’s crushing on the newest associate: Charles Longfellow III. He’s been assigned a very weird case defending an accused murderer of two people simply trying to sell a house. He’s also taking care of the deceased couple’s Yorkshire Terrier: Yo-Yo. Turns out Yo-Yo may be the most desirable witness to what actually happened. When Charles hears Angie and Octo-Cat talking one morning, he thinks maybe Angie might get Yo-Yo to tell who killed his humans….question is, will Octo-Cat climb down to a “dog’s level” to actually communicate with the little guy. Then, can they clear their client?
Molly Fitz writes high spirited really fun cosy mysteries. Short, sweet and to the point. As much as I love Angie and her grandmother, Octo-Cat and his superior cat-tatude are a bit over the top…which in some strange reasoning makes th whole thing work! Highly Recommended 5/5
Terrier Transgressions by Molly Fitz is the second book in the Pet Whisperer P.I. series and it did not disappoint! It is a fun story about the continuing adventures of Angie Russo and Octo-Cat. In this story we meet Yo-Yo the terrier. Angie cannot talk to Yo-Yo directly but Octo-Cat can communicate with him, but only if he chooses to. A wonderful, fast-paced read!
Terrier Transgressions is a fun mystery. Since Angie does not speak dog and the dog is the only eye witness to the murders, Angie has to persuade Octo-Cat to translate. With the usual sparkling cast of characters, plus Yo_Yo the dog, this is one fun adventure. There are plenty of suspects and plot twists. Don’t miss this if you are an animal lover!
Terrier Transgressions (Pet Whisperer P.I. Book 2) by Molly Fitz, Sweet Promise Press is a great story that I have read. This is book number two in this great series and I recommend this story to everyone who loves a great story about animals.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
I thought this book was a good read and enjoyed it very much. I would read her books again and her storytelling and characters are wonderful
This was a fun, well-written mystery. It was lighthearted and entertaining. Angie is still coming to grips with discovering she can speak to a cat, and now a co-worker discovers her secret and wants her help defending his client against a double murder charge. He expects her to communicate with a Yorkie who doesn’t realize his owner’s dead!?! I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books in this series.
Terrier Transgressions is the second book in the wonderful Pet Whispered PI series. It can be read as a stand-alone but I definitely recommend that you read the first book as it explains so much. Angie and Octo-Cat find themselves in the middle of another murder investigation. Yo-Yo the yorkie wants to go home to his family but doesn’t know they are dead. With Octo-Cat translating dog can Angie and Charles help? Yes, it sounds quirky and weird but this is a fabulous original cozy mystery with great characters both human and animal. I definitely recommend it.
What a fun read.
I loved the twists and turns, romance, and humor.
Molly Fitz continues a series that is a clean read and quick because you can’t put it down.
The animals are hilarious and make the book.
What’s not to like? A quirky main character, a talking cat with an oversized personality, with a mystery thrown in. The whole Pet Whisperer PI series has it all.
What an enjoyable cozy mystery this was-I have already purchased the 1st in the series and have the 3rd on pre order. I still can’t seem to get and read books in order-but it really did not matter with this one. It can be read as a stand alone!
Try and imagine that you can actually talk to your cat and he can talk back! Kinda frightening actually. Cats truly believe that they are the masters and you are their slave-they will go to any length to train you properly or retrain as the case may be (just ask my cat if you don’t believe me).
But can Octo-Cat (a VERY spoiled cat) be convinced to help find the murderers of a small Yorkie’s human Mom and Dad. He and his slave may be able to talk to each other–but dog talk-only Octo-Cat can do that–and Octo doesn’t particularly like dogs!
Will they track down the murderer with the help of Nan and exonerate the person accused of the murder? Will the little Yorkie be able to overcome his block of the memory and pinpoint the true murderer? You will have to read this sometimes funny cozy to find out!
cats, cozy-mystery, amateur-sleuth, situational-humor, verbal-humor
So, the spoiled cat communicates with her slave using her very own iPad !?! This cozy is fun and the characters certainly are. I loved it!
