Cat detective meets doggie witness… What could possibly go wrong? I’m finally coming to terms with the fact I can speak to animals, even though the only one who ever talks back is the crabby tabby I’ve taken to calling Octo-Cat. What I haven’t quite worked out is how to hide my secret… strange new talent of mine and insists I use it to help defend his client against a double murder charge. To make things worse, Octo-Cat has no intention of helping either of us.
Our only hope rests on an unhinged Yorkie named Yo-Yo, who hasn’t quite figured out his owner is dead. Can we find a way to get Yo-Yo to help solve the murder without breaking his poor doggie heart?

Love this series and the talking ,if sassy ,cat. Always lots of twist and turns Also keeps you guessing till the end
Loving this series! What’s not to like about a human with her sassy talking cat for a sidekick? Plenty of laughs and fun moments on the way to the conclusion of this cozy mysttry.
My high expectations were fully met!
Octo-Cat is a superior cat. That we already knew from book 1. He continues to be the boss in this installment. Such fun to read about!
Angie and Octo-Cat had already deserved a place in my heart. And now Yo-Yo! Angie needs the doggie’s testimony, but can only do so with the help of our beloved Octo-Cat. Who, of course, grumbles and grouches before he accepts. And then keeps on grumbling and groucing LOL! I wouldn’t have expected anything else! Complicating factor: Yo-Yo doesn’t realize his owners are dead…
Another adventure for Angie and her loved ones. The first book in this series was great. So my expectations were high. And my high expectations were fully met! I loved everything about it. No comments whatsoever. I smiled throughout the book, occasionally laughing out loud or snorting very unladylike… I loved it!
Loved this book that said a lot coming from a person who does not do a lot of mysteries. It has just enough suspense to make it interesting. Its good enough to let my grandchildren read it with me which is what I look for often in books.
we come back to Octo-Cat, Angie and the law firm she works for. A couple has been murder. But did the accuse do it. Did the dog see what happened? Can the Angie understand the dog like she does the cat? Can Octo-Cat help solve this case too? So many questions to answer. What about the crush Angie has on a new lawyer in the firm?
I receive complimentary books for review from publishers, publicists, and/or authors. I am not required to write positive reviews. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.
Angie seems like she is a real mess when Charlie overhears/see her talking to a cat. But that’s a small problem because the big issue is the case of WHO DONE THE MURDER? This is another fast read, fun, funny story. It should make you laugh: what happens, things the cat says, etc. I can’t wait for the next book. I received an ARC. This is my honest, voluntary review.
This series is so full of fun, laughter and mystery as Angi talks to and understands the grumpy cat Octo cat as he helps her solve mysteries. Yoyo the yorkie has alot to learn about his owner but with Angi and Octo to help he ends up a happy puppy even though he looses his owner. If you havent started this series yet it’s ok, you only have to catch up with 2 books and then you will be ready for the next one to release.
I’m so in love with this series! Terrier Transgressions had me laughing out loud, this is such a fun mystery. The characters are great with their little quirks not to mention my favorite Octo Cat who is hilarious! The author does such a great job of keeping the story real and not letting it fall to silly humor or just ridiculous story telling. The story keeps you engaged from the first page and holds your attention until the last. You will absolutely love this book!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
Wow, what a ride! I really enjoy this series. The characters both 2 & 4 legged are so easy to fall in love with. Sarcastic with annoying, loveable, all rolled into 1. Some of the 2 legged breed you’d like to reach out and slap. Breanne & Sandra come to mind. But our motley crew (sleuths) group Angie, Chuck, Octo-Cat (Yo-Yo), Mitch, and Nan were unstoppable.
It was good to hear about new news and answers to questions I had at the end of book 1. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
Angie and Octo-Cat had only five days to prove Brock is innocent from murdering the Hayes, with Charles, a new associate in her law firm, Nana and Yo-Yo, the Hayes’s terrier ‘s help. Are they going to find the real killer? A funny story.
Another great story in Molly Fitz’s new series. What’s not to like? Angie Russo is a paralegal who happens to speak to a cat she has named Octo-Cat. Angie electrocuted herself at work with the cord from a coffee pot. Ever since that happened in the first book in the series she has become a pet whisperer and now owns Octo-Cat who inherited quite a lot of money. Now Angie and her cat PI are solving their second murder. This mystery is fun, quirky, and humorous. I like that I had a hard time figuring out who the murderer was in this book. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
What will Angie do when her new co-worker finds out about her ability? Or more importantly what will he do? Angie and Oct-Cat are on the case again with a few helpers this time. Loved the banter and how they all worked together to solve the murder. A possible nemesis stars in this story and I wonder if they will be in the next one. I received a copy and this is my honest review. Looking forward to book 3.
Wow mystery and suspense at its best. Twists and turns that will keep the reader wondering what’s going to happen next. Add a little whimsy with a talking cat that only talks to Angie and it’s a very interesting book. The terrier Yo Yo or Dum Dum as the cat calls him is one laugh after another.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and gave my honest opinion.
Humorous book. Have to laugh at the cat. Quirky book but makes it fun to read!
Terrier Transgressions by Molly Fritz is another cozy murder mystery story of crime solving Angie Russo and her cat, Octo-Cat. Blackmailed into working with Charles the lawyer who is defending an innocent man accused of murder, Angie and Octo are on the case talking to Yo-Yo the victims terrier who possible saw the murderer. Love all the nicknames Octo gives everyone and the interactions between Angie and Octo. This story is cute cozy funny murder mystery and well worth the time to read it. I received this book as an arc for an honest review of it.
This is a good follow up to Kitty Confidential. Angie’s ability to understand Octo-Cat comes in handy in solving another murder. Unfortunately Angie’s ability does not extend to dogs and she needs Octo-Cat to interpret. This book has humor, mystery, twists and of course, a touch of romance. As a cat owner I know how persnickety cats can be. Octo-Cat might take this a little too far, but he does have a big trust fund. I look forward to more stories in this series.
This is a laugh-a-minute, over-the-top combination of an ability to talk to animals and detective work. Pet Whisperer Angie and her trusty sidekick Octo-Cat (who’m I kidding; Octo-Cat is no-one’s sidekick) are rumbled by one of Angie’s colleagues and, to keep her abilities a secret, she has to help him solve a case. It’s impossible to take a book seriously when one of the main characters is a Yorkie named Yo-Yo that is also a key witness. If you’re looking for bizarre, daft, and lighthearted, this is the book you’ve been waiting for.
I received an advance copy of this work.
This series just keeps getting better! If you like cats and dogs you will love this book. It will make you laugh out loud and keep you guessing who-done-it until the end. I’m ready for book 3!
This is the second book in this series and Angela and Octo-cat come to the rescue again. Angela has the unlikely ability to be able to understand and communicate with Octo-cat and in this book they team up with Charles, an associate at the law firm where Angela works and YoYo, a yorkie terrier who’s owners have been murdered. There are snarky comments, miscommunications, humour and laughs. The characters are engaging and the story moves fast enough to keep you reading. I look forward to more adventures of Octo-cat.
Move over Sherlock Holmes. Here’s comes the pet patrol. The Pet Whisperer and her trusty crew of misfits are on the case. With danger on their tail and a murderer in their sights, Angie and Octo-cat may have bitten off more than they can chew. Add in a heartbroken, somewhat clueless Terrier, a not so well guarded secret and an unpredictable chain of events, leads to an intriguing mass of chaos. Terrier Transgressions is a different kind of mystery. Humorous adventure, captivating story and an enchanting concept. I get a kick out of over the top and Fitz delivered the goods.
