Four years ago, I took the biggest risk of my life and it blew up in my face. I learned my lesson – love sucks. Now self-preservation and protecting my heart have become second nature. But Jameson Strauss… he’s my weakness.Give me the occasional shot of tequila, a game of Truth or Dare, and I’ll do almost anything for that man.*Four years ago, I didn’t follow my heart. I let the one girl that … heart. I let the one girl that consumed my soul walk away without a fight.
Now I go through the motions never truly living. But, the day Ashton Sullivan needed me was the day my world changed for the better.
Tequila, truths, and the occasional dare are all I need to show her how good we can be.
Sometimes the truth is in the dare.

A great story. Loved the chemistry between the two. They were perfect for each other. I was a little bit disappointed about how long the lack of communication last. But it has a great ending.
This was another great book in the Country Road Series! The undeniable chemistry between Jameson and Ashton is off the charts. Their journey is filled with heartbreak, stubbornness, misunderstandings, hate, humor and love. I can’t wait to see more of them in other Country Road books!
I thought I loved the first book in the series but this one was SOOO good. I could not put the book down and read it faster than I think I’ve ever read a book. I found myself day dreaming about it.
Ahhhhhhhhh with each book I read in this series, I think *THIS* is my favorite couple. And then I read another one.
Ashton & Jameson. They’ve know each other since they were kids. Ashton is a bartender at Country Roads and, much to her dismay, is back living with her parents. Jameson is a few years older, owns his own business, and well, let’s just say, he’s popular with the ladies!
They seem to have a love/hate thing going on and you know there’s more to the story!
A tree falls into Ashton’s family’s house. Her parents use the opportunity to travel and she needs a place to stay. Jameson offers up a spare room in his house.
We get some backstory on the love/hate. And watch them fall in love.
I loved Ashton’s spunk and sass, and that she is still vulnerable. And I really loved Jameson. Despite her nickname for him (HA!) I think he really is a good guy and I loved this story!
Tequila & Tailgates is part of a series – you do not have to of read book one to read this one (Whiskey & Honey)… but you will miss out on a couple references to Ben & Piper’s romance. Andrea does a fantastic job of easily filling in any gaps or points you’d need to know though to make this book easily stand all on its own.
A complex history, slightly broken hearts, and a tree smashing into a house lead to what is quite simply one of the sweetest second chance romances I’ve read in awhile.
Jameson is a tried and true country boy, just working to make a living and enjoying a little fun on the side… until her ends up with Ashton as a roommate. His childhood crush and best friends sister. Ashton is less than thrilled when a series of unfortunate events land her in a room at Jameson’s house – the guy that left her all alone after a one night stand four years previous…
The story of Ashton and Jameson is one of second chances and friends to lovers… they’ve known each other for years. Jameson is Ben’s (Ash’s brother) best friend; and Ben is marrying Piper, Ashton’s best friend. It’s a small community, and most of the characters circle around the one bar in town where Ashton works, Country Road. This group of friends have all grown up around each other and it’s kind of fun to be keeping up with them all through the books in this series. I keep picking my own brain to see who’s story might come next… and I’m hoping it’s Owen’s!
