Darci Denton never expected walking dogs on the side would turn into a viable business. Now that it has, she is finding it harder and harder to balance dog walking with her full-time job as a waitress at the Sand Pit. Nor did she expect when she handed her business card to a hot guy with a beagle that she’d not only fall in love with the adorable pup, but with the single dad and his son too. …

He doesn’t go out and he definitely doesn’t date, but when he hires Darci to help take one thing of his to-do list and walk his dog, Buddy, he can’t deny the instant attraction he feels for the sweet brunette.

Darci is a young woman who works as a dog walker and waitress and loves a challenge. When she meets a hot guy with an adorable puppy, she can’t imagine that her life will change forever. Theo is a single dad who adores his son, Noah, and has dedicated his life to him. He doesn’t date because he doesn’t want to hurt his son’s feelings, but when Darci enters his life he can’t deny his feelings for her! Will Theo make Darci a member of his family or will he allow his fears to ruin his chance at happiness? Tequila Sunrise is an entertaining and romantic story! Darci is adorable and funny and I love her interactions with Theo’s son, Noah! Theo is cautious because he wants to protect his son and he’s been hurt in the past. I love the fact that he puts his son first! Together they make a beautiful family!
I loved this book from the characters to the story and to the humor. I could not put the book down and I could not read it without laughing.
Darci Denton is quite a character. She says what she thinks which sometimes gets her into trouble and for the reader she will make you laugh. She works as a waitress at the Sand Pit and she is starting up her own dog walking business. The dog antics are hilarious unless they happened to you.
What is not to love about Theo Daniels? He is good looking, has a nice personality, owns his own business, and has a cute five year old son named Noah. Theo’s wife left them when Noah was two and he is trying to make up for that by being the best parent he can be.
It was so funny reading about what happened when Darci went to Theo’s house for the first time to walk his dog, Buddy. I enjoyed the chemistry between Darci and Theo and how little Noah fell in love with Darci too. I also liked that there was some heartache too which made the story even more realistic. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Tequila Sunrise is a perfect summer read! Just in time for Father’s Day, this story is about a single dad raising his young son. Theo’s life is now to be Noah’s dad. He is his priority and the reason that Theo will give up his life to make sure Noah is happy. What Theo isn’t expecting is the attractive dog walker who is now getting under his skin. She is peeling away the layers that Theo has built around him and Noah and Theo knows that isn’t good. Darci is sweet, fun and absolute doll when it comes to this father and son (and dog, Buddy).
If you love a single dad with a soft spot for dogs, let Tequila Sunrise talk to your soul. This couple brought the tears and left me with so much hope for love and a happily ever after.
This new series by SM is perfect for summer. I love this new town and fun, beach atmosphere.
I missed the first book in this new series but the glimpses I got into those characters makes me want to drop everything and read bay Breeze right now. I also feel like I may have known more about Darci if I had read Bay Breeze before reading Tequila Sunrise.
I love single dad books but they can often lend themselves to a lot of drama. This book definitely had some but not nearly as much as I was expecting. And I was grateful for that. This book has the perfect amount of angst and a decent amount of humor. Darci and Theo seemed perfect for each other from the very first meeting and I was pulling for them from the jump. I loved all of the friendships and push to make yourself a better person. Noah was the cutest kid ever.
This series is definitely another win for this author!!!!
Tequila Sunrise is book 2 in the Summer Nights series. And it is just as amazing as the first book. In fact this series is fast becoming a favorite of mine by Sandra Marie. This is a wonderful single dad romance that will have you laughing out loud and swooning here and there. I love the gang of the Sand Pit and this is Darci’s chance at love. I love Darci. She just has this lovely need to help anyone and anyhow she can. Enter Theo, his son Noah and their dog Buddy. These guys sure need the help and it is so easy to see how Darci fits in with them. I love the chemistry between Theo and Darci. You can feel the fight from the start. Top it off she is amazing with Buddy and Noah. I really can’t wait for more to come. I couldn’t put this one down.
Summer Nights Series:
Tequila Sunrise #2 – This story picks up a couple weeks after Bay ends. It is Darcy’s turn at romance. While there’s the gang from Bay, I couldn’t get into Darcy’s story, even though she is truly a sweet person. Where Bay was a fun story, this one was a little dark.
Good storylines and wonderful characters but this story didn’t work for me and I was bored in many places. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
Bay Breeze #1 – I absolutely love this book! The storylines are interesting but the characters steal the show. Mila and Jagger are the perfect couple; it’s been a long time since I’ve read such interesting, fun loving characters as these two in this genre. The support characters are great, too, although Mom takes the cake – love her attitude! I love the fact that Mila recognized her faults and was able to improve her life instead of being the usual sniveling, stupid character so common nowadays.
All the characters came with intelligence, except one – there had to be a doodoohead in the bunch. This is a great exercise book with all the out loud laughs, belly laughs and just plain laughs; plenty of humor even in the bad spots. This is probably my favorite of all of Sandra’s books, but I keep a lookout for my next favorite from her. I contacted the author to review her books. 5*
Summer Nights Series end.
I really enjoy book from Sandra Marie. I was sorry to see Romance for all Seasons end, but this new series is equally fun. Darci, Theo and Noah all have great chemistry. The gang from the Sand Pit creates a home for Darci. I enjoyed all the characters. There are some laugh out loud moments as the dogs being walked do not always cooperate! This is a sweet romance that was a lot of fun to read.
