From USA Today bestselling author Kimberly Knight, comes book two in her strong, sexy, and suspenseful Saddles & Racks series that takes on the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas.Army Strong and dripping with sin …Paul Jackson had his dreams mapped out. But he still thinks about her …

Passions will soar.

This is the second book by Kimberly Knight I’ve read, and again the beginning chapters about tore my heart into pieces. Not just for Paul and the loss of his dreams at the hands of his high school sweetheart, but also for Joselyn and the horror she was faced with at an early age. Paul combatted his loss by joining the service, while Joselyn chose to follow a path in law enforcement and the FBI.
After the army, Paul joins the escort service Saddles and Racks with his friend, Gabe, and drinks to forget the loss of his dreams and more. After his friend/roommate finds his HEA and moves out, Paul acquires a new roommate, Joselyn, who unbeknownst to him is undercover as another escort, Andi, to take down a human trafficking ring. Sparks and witty banter fly between Jos and Paul, neither of them is looking for the chemistry and passion that sparks between them and they try to fight it.
The plot is intriguing and full of twists the reader doesn’t see coming. The road to an HEA is never smooth for this couple, there are secrets on both sides and sharing them is sure to blow their budding romance sky high. I love the characters in this book, Paul was present in Angels and Whiskey as Gabe’s backup and best friend. He’s funny and witty, and maybe a bit full of himself, but Jos/Andi is no pushover and more than willing to take on whatever danger may be ahead. Together they are a formidable couple, once they get their collective issues resolved.
Ms. Knight is a master at pulling the reader in on page one and keeping them engrossed and wanting more from the characters throughout the book. I want more of this series and can’t wait to read the next book.
The audio book is again done in duet narration, which I am rapidly becoming a fan of. The team of Kylie Stewart and Eric Rolon make a great team bringing out all the emotions in this story. On the outside Paul seems light and carefree, but the narrator did a great job bringing out his softer side and the pain in his past. Ms. Stewart adds great emotional range to Jos/Andi’s character. I love this series and can’t wait read the next book.
This was Paul’s story. After his high school girlfriend breaks his heart he joins the army. When he gets out he recruits Gabe to work with him at an escort business. After moving to Vegas and helping Gabe and Autumn he finds himself with a new roommate. Joselyn rund away on her seventeenth birthday after her mother dies something unforgivable. She joins the FBI comes to Vegas to work undercover at the same company Paul works. When they meet as roommates they find themselves attracted to one another. This story touches on sex trafficking. This was another really good read by Kimberly.
I really loved this story line. And the characters are amazing. And wow, the curve balls that I did NOT see coming! I loved it!
I do wish the story was developed a little more. I feel like it was surface level deep for much of it. I wish it would have went a little deeper, or spent a little more time on some of the story lines and emotions.
That aside, I loved this story. I love Kimberly Knight. And I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
A definite gripping story and characters you’ll want to love, or be. Paul and Joselyn both had a hard introduction to love and relationships, but if you’re into stories where they overcome those obstacles, this is the story for you.
While you can read Tequila & Lace without having read Angels & Whiskey, this isn’t exactly a standalone. While it ends with an HEA, there are major elements of the storyline that continue into Champagne & Handcuffs.
I listened to the Audible version with duet narration by Kylie Stewart & Eric Rolon. They both do a great job bringing the story to life, especially the scene with the drunken rant. The duet narration was well edited so that the voices blended together well.

Paul and Josselyn’s book was even better then Gabe and Autumns.
This book was heartbreaking frm the start. Two broken hearts that took 17 years too come together
Book did seem a little rushed
A dark and twisted romantic suspense read
Joss, an FBI agent with a dark history, goes to Las Vegas on an undercover assignment where she surprises Paul, a male escort and former Army lieutenant. As the story progresses a case of mistaken gender is cleared up, close proximity draws them together, and the lies their forced to live with could tear them apart. Kimberly Knight’s Tequila and Lace is a dark and twisted romantic suspense read.
I read this book with my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first in the series, but it had nothing to do with it being poorly written. It came down to the insta-love aspect. Given Joss’ situation, the storyline could have benefitted from a more drawn out build to their relationship. The HEA also gives the next in the series the opening through Joss’ job rather than directly leading you to the the lead hero, rather than feeling satisfied it ends with “the end for now”, and doesn’t leave a content book read fullness.
Wow what about intense read that is second chance at love and life. This is a sin sin read that will take on a hot steamy ride tell the very end.
I don’t know how anyone could not fall for these characters. This story was so intense. And the twist at the end has you begging for more. I absolutely loved PJ and really thought Joss would be falling for someone else. Their connection was instant, one you could feel through the pages. Kimberly Knight has a way with words that keeps her readings in a trance from beginning to end. Your heart goes out for Joss and all that she’s been through, so many readers will be able to relate to her story in one way or another. It may be triggering for some, but for others it may let them know they’re not alone. I loved seeing how much Joss grew, not just from a young girl into an adult but her strength and character. She didn’t let her past defeat her. I really loved this Military Romance and can’t wait to see what’s to come of the next story. I just know Ill love it as much as I did this one.
We meet a 17 year old Josselyn at her 17th birthday with her brother, Bryce . They’re waiting for their mom to wake up. Joss finds out her mother is a hooker.
I’m absolutely in love with Paul and Andi. Andi and Paul confess their love to each other. Andi finally feels comfortable enough to explain her past to Paul and she’s ready to have sex with him .
I absolutely loved this book. Paul and Andi (Joss) are one of my favorite couples in this series
After the events of her seventeenth birthday, Jos runs to Seth.Seth is a police officer and Jos follows his lead after losing her family. but when her past creeps into her present, can Jos deal with the pain to focus on her job. The flashbacks gave such an indepth background to Jos and her state of mind. I felt as if I was right there with her. Jos has to face her past in order to save many women from the same thing that happened to her. While undercover, she meets Paul and they begin to fall for each other. But will their relationship make it through when the truth comes out? You want to read to find out. This is one suspenseful romance NOT to miss.
Kylie Stewart narrated this story wonderfully. I really liked that it was just Kylie narrating this story because most of it was from Jos’s point of view. Kylie’s narration of the male characters was smooth and transitioned well to and from Eric Rolon. KYlie brought this story to life. I hope to hear more from Kylie Stewart.

Review:
I expected more from this book. I was hoping for something more thriller like, some more suspense. I expected the Hero’s military past to play a bigger role than it did. It was hardly mentioned. Instead of the above the entire story focused more on the relationship between the main characters. Which I did like but I expected more. I wanted all off the above basically.
I didn’t expect that the main issue would be left unresolved, to be picked up in the next book. So if you want to know how the crime related stuff and the case they build ends, you’ll have to continue reading the books.
I also felt like the relationship between the characters went to fast. They went to meeting to getting engaged within a few weeks.
The story got predictable at some points, I predicted the ending early in the book. I also felt like for someone that says they got trained and is a bad ass, they sucked at fighting and fighting of an attacker.
Overall it wasn’t a bad book, I just expected more out of it.

Kimberly Knight story is about how a horrible act on Jocelyn ‘s 17 birthday changed her life and her younger brother, Brice, life forever. Jocelyn worked undercover at the FBI for sex trafficking. Never in her life did she think she would fall in love. Would her secret destroy what she and Paul built ? Would he understand why she’s undercover? And the horrible surprise she found out about her brother and what he’s involved in. That guilt has always plagued her since she was 17. Why didn’t she go back for him?
Kylie Stewart and Eric Rolon told the story with such emotion. Giving each character their own voice and personality

Wow, I got attached to these characters. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
If you listened or read Angels & Whiskey then you are familiar with some of the characters in this story. Mainly Paul Jackson and we meet his new roommate Andi as Paul knows her, but she isn’t who she portrays as Paul finds after he has lost his heart to her.
This story was as good if not better than the first and as soon as I post this review I’m starting the next story, the continuation to this one Champagne & Handcuffs.
Kylie and Eric did an excellent job narrating these characters.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 1st book in Kimberly Knight’s “Saddles & Racks” series and loved this one even more. She is a creative author, she continues to pen original storylines that are captivating from start to end. This book is Paul and Joselyn’s story, we met Paul in the first book he was Gabe’s good friend and sidekick. He served with Gabe in the US Army and worked with him at Saddles & Racks. We learn more about Paul and his past in this book. Joselyn did not have the greatest childhood, her mother worked as a hooker and was never really home. Working for some bad people she d Joselyn wrong on her seventeenth birthday. Joselyn managed to escape a bad situation, fled to a new life. Fast Forward she is now an FBI agent and she wants to save girls who are forced into sex trafficking and is assigned to a case in Las Vegas. She goes undercover as an escort, she winds up being Pauls new housemate after Gabe moved out. Paul liked his new housemate, Andi with an i. I loved the chemistry between those two, which grew stronger the more they got to know each other. But does Paul really know her? I loved how this story plays out, it is well plotted with plenty of drama, action, twists, some thrilling & suspenseful moments as well as the slow burn romance between Joss and Paul. Kimberly Knight, thank you for this fantastic story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Kylie Stewart and Eric Rolon are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They continue to bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they project the characters emotions. Their duet performance is awesome and enhances this great story to another level of greatness. Thank you for another amazing listen

Tequila and Lace is the second book in the Saddle & Racks series. I was so excited to get to this book because Paul is my favorite S&R guy and he definitely didn’t disappoint.
Paul is Gabe’s best friend from the military and is the one who initially convinced Gabe to join S&R. After moving to Vegas, he helps Gabe and Autumn with their self defense classes while also maintaining his job as an escort.
When Joselyn, aka Andi, barges into his life as his new roommate, he is expecting a man, but instead is met with a very sexy, very headstrong woman. It’s instant sexual attraction on both parts. Andi is actually an undercover FBI agent who is in Vegas to help take down a sex slave ring that is currently selling women off the streets. As she infiltrates the escort business world, she can’t help but feel attracted to Paul. But she is not only using a fake name, she also has a very traumatic past that haunts her daily.
Unable to deny their sexual chemistry, they start dating. Andi tells Paul what happened to her and little by little, builds her trust in him. Paul is a dirty talking sweetheart. Seriously. He is the book boyfriend of this series for me. And the way he treats Andi is so sweet and caring, it seriously makes my teeth hurt with how sweet it is. When she finally lets him in all the way, its mind-blowing. The chemistry is so off the charts, you can’t help but melt into a puddle right there on the floor.
As Andi continues working undercover, they fall for each other. And even through the twists and turns of the book, you can’t help but root for their love. Joselyn has finally found the one who can mend her brokenness and Paul has finally found the one who can tame his wild ways.
Paul and Joselyn are my favorite couple of the series to date and even with 5 books in the series, I still have them at the top of the list. I truly love their story. Paul’s witty and fun nature makes me swoon and Joselyn is the perfect match for his inflated ego.
If you haven’t read this one yet, I would highly suggest it, but start with Gabe’s story in Angels & Whiskey so you can meet Paul before he joined S&R.
Steamy and suspenseful. <3
