There’s always one in the bunch.
The one who takes things a little too seriously – a little too far. The fanatic, if you will.
When a radical Pagan group blows into Tequila Key to celebrate the autumnal equinox, Althea Rose’s psychic senses start tingling. She goes on full alert after meeting Horace, a Gandalf wannabe who reminds Althea of an old man playing dress up. One look into his pale … look into his pale eyes sets her straight, and soon Althea’s best friend Luna is forcing her to learn a magickal protection spell before they investigate Horace and his festival. To make matters worse, Althea botches the spell and the results are…interesting to say the least.
Oh, and about that love life of hers? There’s no time for love when bodies start turning up on deserted beaches. Soon, Althea is in way over her head as the full moon starts to rise and the clock counts down on the killer wandering Tequila Key’s quiet streets.

Tequila For Two is the second book in Tricia O’Malley’s Althea Rose series. Althea and Luna head to the beach so Luna can teach Althea how to cast a circle of protection. Never the best at following directions, Thea steps out of the circle to answer a cellphone call which leads to a big surprise. Meanwhile, there’s a pagan festival going on in Tequila that brings a series of murders with it. A delightfully crazy read!
Reading the first book in the series I thought that I would like to get to know Miss Elva better. And luckily right away in book 2 my wish was granted.
There is a lot of magick and hocus pocus going on in this mystery…quite a bit too much for my taste but it is written so fast paced and entertaining that I will read more.
Tequila for Two is a funny paranormal romance/mystery that focuses mostly on Althea and her friends living in the small town of Tequila Key. In this installment, a group of Pagans are having a festival in the area and have descended on their home in huge numbers.
Despite a dead body showing up in very ‘magical’ looking circumstances, and lots of suspicion about the involvement of the Pagan group leader, Althea and Luna end up going to the festival with Miss Elva.
This one is a mixed bag because it goes deeper into the love triangle bit, despite it becoming more obvious that one of them is better suited to her. At the same time, in this book she is able to show some growth in her abilities – even if part of it was making a pretty big mistake.
The mystery element of this series isn’t terribly mysterious, and I think most people will have sorted out the killer before the end, but it can be an enjoyable easy read.
Book 286 for the year! 4/5 stars for this witchy cozy mystery! A great continuation from book 1! I love witch cozies, and cozies set at the beach, and this series does both! So fun! Highly recommend if you enjoy the genre!
Really enjoying this series, the characters are great!!
I just love this cozy series. Althea is so lovable! The messes she gets into just make this book so fun. I love all the different relationships from friendships to boyfriends. I love getting to know the side characters too.
Althea and Luna keep things interesting with their adventures in Tequila Key. These ladies could be my friends. I feel like I am right there with them from one moment to the next. So much fun to read.
Liked it so much I purchased the rest of the series!
Have read all of this series and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. Especially love the voodoo priestess. Books are fun and have good storylines. Hate to see the books end.
The characters in Tequila Key back again and funny as ever.
Very good. Easy to read. Hard to put down.
If you like books about witches, you will enjoy, it.
Fun follow up to the first book. Not quite as suspenseful, but a fun read. I am planning to read the next in the series.
Read these books in the number ordered. This author is funny and her characters are wonderfully developed. I’m on Book 3! Love them!!!

A paranormal romp at Tequila Key on Florida Coast. I liked all the characters and the messes they get into. Highly recommend reading them in order. I bought all 5 and read one after the other. Wish she had 5 more written. I feel the author is great at drawing a picture in your mind so you can see the characters and their environment.
The characters in the book are fun to spend time with. The story moves well. An enjoyable read.
