I think this story may stick with me for awhile. It reminded me a lot of my favorite book from when I was a teen, and like Finley, I read that book a lot. There were swooning moments, angry moments, heartbreaking moments, and moments of peace. It was a beautiful love story: between sisters just coming to know one another and between a man and a woman who may not meet at the best time, but they make the time count.

Finley meets Abel Collins on the day she finds out she has a malignant brain tumor.
They spend ten hours, 600 hundred minutes together the first night and then she ghosts on him.
Finley is only 19, and facing a life threatening diagnosis.
Abel Collins is 25, a musician and keeps searching for Finley after their night together.
He’s blinded sided by news about his mom.
But manages to track down Finley. She blind sides him again. Can Abel deal?
Turns out, he’s pretty amazing.
All the feels, but foremost, all the love, as Finley meets the love of her life while she is facing a catastrophic illness.
Highly recommend.

WOW that is the first word that came to mind when I stared reading Ten Hours. Melissa Toppen out did herself with this one. This may be my favorite novel of hers to date. This book will touch you on so many different levels.
Abel and Finley met by chance. Finley finds out she has a brain tumor and meets Abel that day. He doesn’t know she is sick but it doesn’t matter. He falls quick and hard. They only had ten hours but in those ten hours the bond and connection the developed was amazing.
The emotions this book evokes are unbelievable. Make sure you have tissues near by as you read Ten Hours, I promise you, you will need them.
I would recommend this book to anyone.

Finley and Abel’s story will have you rooting for them from the very beginning. Finley has had a hard life and learns some heart breaking news and in walks Abel. Abel is a musician just happens to be in the right place at the right time to meet Finley. They have Ten of the most amazing hours together. Who would think only ten hours can change your life. Must read to find out more.
This is the kinda book that stays with you after you finish it. You will cry and laugh and cheer. But Melissa sure knows how to write a very realistic storyline.

F.U.C.K.!!! That is all I can think of is that 4 letter word. That is the only thing to wrap up my feelings for this amazing book.
5 stars doesn’t even touch this one. Book Hangover doesn’t touch it. Moved beyond tears. Heart beating outside my chest or just flopping on the ground? I don’t know. I feel gutted and yet so sated at the same time.
I couldn’t put this down. Only twice in the middle of the night when reading did my Kindle smack me in the head and I realized I needed sleep did I stop. Yes twice. I’m an idiot. I slept then woke and started reading again and it happened so I slept some more.
Ok onto Finley and Abel. As Finley describes he is THE book boyfriend. OMG! as an avid reader and keeper of Book Boyfriends, he is by far a top one.
Sweet, amazing Finley. Life has been so hard for her. I can’t even begin to imagine and while Melissa paints a good picture for us, I don’t think we get the full scope. At 19 she is beyond a survivor.
I wanted this story to have a different turn of events. I wanted it harder than I think Abel did, or maybe not that hard b/c LOVE. But still. Melissa will gut you with this one.
I will not spoil this. I will recommend you read it.

Love is not measured in how long you spend together but in how your souls talk to each other. When soulmates meet, they know it.
Ten Hours — a lot can be accomplished in ten hours and it is possible to fall so deeply in love in that time that your world gets tipped on an axis that has your head spinning.
I love books, I love reading, but every once in awhile you come across a book that affects you in a profound way. Ten Hours by Melissa Toppen is one of those books. It’s a 5-star read that will change the way you view life.
Melissa is one of my all time favorite authors so I didnt read the blurb until I had the book in my hand. By then it was too late to turn back but I honestly took a step back and mentally prepared to start. Even then, I WAS NOT PREPARED.
Able and Findley – a love like no other. A love that brings tears to my eyes as I write this review. It was selfless and nothing but beautiful. We should all mimic their outlook on life and enjoy the present for time is not guaranteed. We are all living on borrowed time, none of knowing which way our life will turn or if it will be cut short. Live in the now and love fiercely.
I wouldn’t call Ten Hours your typical romance but it is an amazing and beautiful love story. I kept praying for the plot to take a sharp right turn, but Melissa is an author who often plays with my emotions and I expected nothing less with Ten Hours. Melissa ripped my heart out slowly and delivered it back on a platter like a peace offering. I grabbed that offering and squeezed it so tight while mentally thanking her for the lessons learned, for awakening my mind to the beautiful world we live in yet let pass us by without a second thought every day.
Read Ten Hours today and then apply what you learned from the book —
“Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die tomorrow.”

“Abel is my new favorite song. The track I will play on repeat in my memories for the rest of the time I have left on this earth and maybe even after.”
I can probably count on one hand the books I’ve read (out of probably almost a thousand at this point) that have made me ugly cry. I mean, snuffling, face swollen, my family thinking they need to call 911 ugly cry, and this one did it. Surrounded by piles of tissues, I inhaled the beautiful, gorgeously romantic, yet tragic story of Abel and Finley. It hurt my soul at the unfairness, but lent light at the beauty of love, living life to the fullest, and seeing through the pain to find your purpose. It hurt my heart, but I wouldn’t change the experience of reading them. They were a love of a lifetime condensed in a short amount of time, and it was a completely and utterly beautiful story that enveloped me mind and soul. I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!

Beautifully emotional with a side of ugly crying.
Finley has had a rough childhood and it seems to get worse and worse. Now she is on her own and with her sister. On this day, the day Finley gets the worst news possible…this is the day that changes her life in more ways than one!! Life has a way of throwing you curve balls, but can she handle it? What happens when she locks eyes with the most beautiful stranger in a bar?
Abel is trying to get out of meeting with his brothers but when he sees Finley, he is happy fate brought him just where he needs to be. The moment they lock eyes, he knows that his life is forever changed and in the best possible way! But will 10 hours be enough? Can you have the best adventure of your life and not seek more? Can Abel be strong enough for them both?
The chemistry and wonderful relationship they share from the start is enough to believe in love at first sight again!! But when you know your time is almost up, you are forced to live your life like it is your last day, tomorrow is not a guarantee! This is such a beautiful story of 2 people finding each other and really seeing each other and loving each other to their fullest ability!! I received an ARC of this book from the author.

This story is heartbreaking with a beautiful love story. A very emotional read.
The story begins with Finley Roberts who’s sitting in a Drs office and getting the news that her headaches & dizziness is being caused by a malignant brain tumor and the surgery will only give her a 30% of survival. So with that news, she walks around in the city in daze. Until she sees a bar and decides to go in. But only drinks water because she’s under 21.
While sitting at the bar she meets Abel Collins a full time musician who’s there with his brothers. She immediately notices his good looks and beautiful blue eyes and after a while they start a conversation and he also mesmerized buy her green eyes & dark hair. And especially talking to her. Even after their introductions to each other , she still doesn’t give Abel her last name so he continues to call “Just Finley”
So begins their adventure in the city of Chicago; dancing in the bar, attending a
concert, eating the the “best burgers” in town, and a kiss.
Finley decides to live her life that night with no regrets. She decides to spend her last day & night with Abel. Her last 10 hours.
Finley keeps her secret from Abel and leaves the next morning with a note. No address, phone number or last name.
Abel has such strong feelings for Finley and refuses to let her walk out of his life.
Their story continues in the book. But it’s a very emotional rollercoaster ride.
Keep your tissues handy.
Once again Melissa wrote another story with an extreme subject, but gives us Finley and her struggles and falling in love. And then there’s Abel, the guy that was very attracted to a girl and gave that girl life and love.
This book will have you grabbing your heart and tissues. Five stars

What a heartbreaking lovestory. Ten Hours by Melissa Toppen was emotional, gripping and intense and will have you hooked until the very end. Its a story about how one fateful encounter can change the course of one’s life. Told in dual POV, we get a closer look into the minds of both Finley and Abel as we go on this journey with them. The story will take you on an emotional roller-coaster ride and it will break you heart. You will fall in love with Finley and Abel. Their insta-love story was sweet and magical and will have you rooting for them as a couple throughout the novel.
Ten Hours was a fantastic read and I would recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romances.

Sometimes people come into our lives with an unexplainable connection. Be it fate or destiny, but you never really know when you will find them. Its not necessarily the right or the wrong time. Its just that its…time.
Finley and Abels tragic love story will yank every emotion from you. Every heart breaking, soul shattering, snotfilled emotion. You know it’s coming. You can literally feel the time ticking by. Yet you can’t turn your back on it. Through each other they were able to learn what true love is and how to hold onto your dreams.
I can’t imagine how difficult this book was to write. It has left an imprint on my heart and one of the worst book hangovers. Definitely one you won’t to miss. So put on your big girl panties, grab a roll of toilet paper (you will need it) and get started.

My God I wish I could give Ten Hours more then 5 stars. I first want to stand up and applaud Melissa Toppen for this book. It is not very often you come across a book that touches your hear and soul like Ten Hours does. When you’re told that tissues are going to be needed and you say to yourself no I’m stronger then that. Well I will tell you this I was sobbing throughout this one. This book. God this book. There are not enough words to decribe the impact Ten Hours has made on me. This is a book that will stick with you. Ten Hours is such a powerful read. Finley and Abel will steal your heart and soul. The strength and love they share is felt fully from the beginning. I’m still swimming in a sea of emotions when it comes to Finley and Abel. I really don’t want to say much more about Abel and Finley because you need to experience this book. This is by far my top book of 2019. Ten Hours is a book that needs to be read. If you haven’t read Melissa Toppen then this is a book to do so. If you have then you know how much of an impact her writing has with touching your heart and soul. This book deserves so many more stars than I able able to give…seriously this book is so devastatingly beautiful. I absolutely fell in love with it and at the same time it destroyed a part of me…a part I would willingly hand over for this couple!
Ten Hours is not your typical HEA; it is heartbreaking actually it is one of the hardest things I have read; but this author is still able to give us the best ending possible given the situation. This book has the angst turned up to 1000 and every emotion that goes with it will be flowing freely through you from start to finish.
It is one of those ugly cry books that everyone should experience; and I can’t recommend it enough!

I have had a really hard time getting into stories lately. I read a little and then find my mind wondering to the internet. The blurb to this book intrigued me and I knew that I was going to shed a tear, what I didn’t expect was to be so emotional through the entire story. Abel and Finley’s story completely destroyed me. This is a story of finding true love, living each day to the fullest and putting someone else first even when it destroys you. Even writing this, I’m crying. This story was so powerful and such an emotional ride. I can only think of two other stories where I cried as much. This is one of my favorite stories of 2019 even though I’m a complete basket case. This story really got under my skin and I lived every scene. Very powerful read. Loved it!
