18 ONLY. This title is part of a new series (The Men By Numbers Series) BUT can be read as a standalone.
Ten years old I fell in love.
Ten years was the price of that love.
Ten years later our world’s re-collide.
My brother, Jonah, was possessive when it came to the things he owned. This unfortunately included the people in his life. The forbidden love between his best friend and me was … between his best friend and me was just that… forbidden. Our families were from different walks of life, and as a sheriff’s daughter, being with a Moore’s kid would never be tolerated. To my parents, their son and Dalton Moore were on different paths, and their friendship would end as soon as college began, but it was my brother who had a craving for trouble. He was always looking for danger, committing petty crimes and getting away with it because Dalton would take the fall, blackening his already stained name. When Jonah found out we broke the rules by loving each other, his actions impacted us all causing immeasurable suffering. Betrayal comes with a debt, and it would be paid by all of us. One with their heart, one with their mind, and one would pay in blood.

This is the first book I read by Brie, and it won’t be my last! It was really good. I really enjoyed storyline. It wasn’t too angsty or filled with drama. I was looking for something light but still sexy and this book fit the bill just right.
Ava finds herself in a predicament and is essentially saved by the mysterious and handsome Viktor. Who by the way talks to her in Russian A LOT (which I find very hot). Since the moment they meet he becomes a steady support for Ava. However he is keeping secrets that ofcourse eventually are uncovered. There is a little surprise in this book that I loved a lot!
I don’t want to spoil anything, but make sure to buy this book!!
Janie my friend , Read it in one sitting !!!
This book shouldn’t be started at night or you won’t sleep .
what . A . Book . It’s a perfect Ten story. Dalton (Ten) meets his soulmate across the street – Alexandria when they’re nine and ten.
Aaaah the Innocent love of childhood 🙂
long summer nights, riding our bikes and believing the world was made for us and dreams were free. Dreams are not free; they cost us all.
And boy did it cost them !!
They are true soulmates torn apart by their heartless, ruthless families.
He’s set up and convicted of a drug crime he didn’t commit and sent to Ten years in prison. There he loses everything. His family, his career, his life , his love Alex and his identity
Everything was stripped from me and I became a statistic, a number, an animal that deserved no decency. My new address was cell 106. In that moment, an ephemeral touch of sorrow and guilt filtered through me as my student counselor’s face appeared in my thoughts. She had helped me so much over the years following my father’s arrest and mother’s passing. She thought I would never end up there and did everything she could to make sure that didn’t happen, and there I fucking was
and he comes out as an animal. He has only anger and venom in his heart for Alex and Jonah, it haunts him so bad that he practically throws her out on the street .
the story is explosive , lots of angst, I cried in the hospital scene when Dalton meets DJ . Very well written (obviously, it’s kerry …hello!) Full of twists , turns, blinding secrets and lots of mayhem.
can not wait for Six now !!
“Love should heighten everything good in your life, not darken it.” … “Sometimes that darkness is seeking out someone to shine light on it” … Alex is the light that Ten’s darkness has been searching for, even before he knew it him self.
I just finished this not 2 minutes ago and will have to rewrite my review but I have to say. This is my favorite book by Ker so far. The love is so strong, the twists so unexpected and the build for what is sure to be an amazing series, so strong!
