Tempting Tim is a heartfelt and deeply engrossing small-town, second-chance romance – guaranteed to bring music to your soul all the way to the happily-ever-after.
I never wanted the limelight. The only thing I wanted was Conley Logan.
When words failed to express my feelings for Conley, I relied on music instead. But our love song ended before it even began, before I’d even told her how I … our love song ended before it even began, before I’d even told her how I truly felt. As a result, I watched Conley leave hand-in-hand with my bandmate instead of me.
Not wanting the fight that would break up the band, I made a choice. I lived with it every day, knowing it was nobody’s fault but my own. I’ve moved on. I’m content with my small-town life, running a bar. But now Conley is back, forcing me to face the music.
From the way I’m still tempted to make her mine, it’s as if nothing has changed—but until she tells me why she’s back, I’m not sure I can trust what’s growing between us.
The only thing that has changed: I’m not letting her get away this time without a fight.

I loved this story. It is the kind that you can identify with the characters and immerse yourself in the story. Very well written and characters to win the heart make this book a must read.
This was an okay read for me. The writing was okay, but I’m not sure that I really wanted Tim and Conley to end up together. I wasn’t a big fan of Conley, and felt like Tim deserved better. Tim should have told Conley how he felt all those years ago, but Conley could have done the same. The thing that probably irritated me the most was the Conley left Bobby because there wasn’t a wedding date set, not because she didn’t have feelings for him anymore. Then she gets into a relationship with Tim? No, no thank you. This was a first for me from this author, but I would be willing to read her again.

This was such a great small town romance. Conley and Tim grew up together and were in a band together. Each went to live separate lives. Tim having been in love with Conley will not be letting her go this time around. The flow of the storyline was amazingly written.

Melissa has the ability to draw you in from the very first sentence in her books and this one is no exception. You actually fell like you are living the story along with the characters. I absolutely loved this story. The storyline was so interesting that it completely captivated me and was so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished with the very last word. Absolutely Awesome Read, Love Reading from this Author, will keep you hooked and wanting more, well written. This series is awesome and have loved every book so far. Happy reading everyone!!.
Compelling
This is the first book I’ve read by Ms. Ellen, and it most definitely will not be the last. Conley and Tim were wonderful characters that had known each other since childhood. She never realized that he had a crush on her because she only had eyes for Bobby. However, with the success that Bobby had she realized that she was no longer feeling the same way she had originally. She returns to her hometown to put her life back together. Will she find the peace and happiness she was seeking with Tim? You’ll love finding out by reading this delightful book.

Book 4 in the Billingsley series and the first that I have read from this series and author. I really enjoyed this friends to lovers romance. Tim and Conley have been friends forever but after a huge falling out, they went their separate ways. Fast forward to years later and Conley is back in town. Will they be able to get back to how they were when they were school? Can it move into something more than friendship? Great read and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
This is my first book by Melissa Ellen and it won’t be my last! This book drew me in from the very beginning! I didn’t want to put it down! I didn’t know that this book was a part of a series until I came to write my review. It did hold up to being a stand-alone. I was happy to find out that the other characters that I would want to read their story had books! I loved the chemistry between Tim and Conley. I would definitely recommend this book!
Received an arc for an honest review
Tempting Tim’ was right from the start an easy to read book that I got lost in right away. Somehow, I just didn’t need time to get into this story at all. Sure, the two main characters took some time to get to know. But it felt easy and I loved it. Conley and Tim where characters with a history. Throughout this read we slowly get to know their history more and more. But what becomes clear right away is that there is a lot of chemistry between these two.
The romance between Conley and Tim was just super fun to read. It was fun, it was easy and it was definitely swoon worthy. Conley moved back home after being with her Rockstar boyfriend for a very long time. She realized that her life and her feelings for her ex weren’t what she wanted out of life. And when she saw Tim, the guy she secretly wanted for a long time, she knew moving back home was the best decision.
Tim’s character was definitely my favorite. He was hardworking, kind, handsome and always kept his feelings for Conley a secret for everyone. At least that’s what he thought. I just loved reading about Tim, and I couldn’t get enough of him. I also really loved him owning a bar. I don’t know why, but I just always loved the idea of owning my own bar or lunchroom. And it fitted this story perfectly.
The only thing that didn’t really work for me was the moment that Conley and Tim got together. I felt like this came way to sudden. One moment they are fighting their feelings, being shy with each other even, and not wanting to risk their job and friendship and the next they are hooking up. It’s not that I didn’t like that, but I just thought it came rather sudden. I honestly thought Tim was about to wake up and realize it was just a dream.
Like I said before, this book is part of a series, but it can be read as a standalone. I did, and I never felt like I was missing stuff. The only thing it did was making me want to read the other books in the series too.
‘Tempting Tim’ was definitely a fun read I really enjoyed.
Wow. I absolutely fell in love with this friends to lovers book. The sexual tension. The hurt. The chemistry. It all played a big part of this story and the author does this so well.
These characters are hurt and trying to move on. As we know in the romance world, that is hard when you get your second chance and are meant to be. These two go through many emotions and feelings. Together, they will explode with their chemistry that knowingly deny time and time again. A great read!!
Melissa Ellen, where have you been hiding?
More than anything I love discovering authors that I instantly connect with, where I know after just a couple of pages, that their writing and story is exactly the kind I enjoy reading. This is the case with Melissa Ellen. I love friends to lovers romance with the small town feel to it and Tempting Tim was exactly this. What a great story with lots of feels!
Prior to reading Tempting Tim, I had to no idea this was book four, so I’ve gone back to start at the beginning. There’s such a quaintness to the town of Billingsley, and it’s a place you feel at home. Tim and Conley are two characters that you bond with right from the start. And being new to the series, you quickly discover they’ve shared a past. You want to know what happens with them, in fact, you desperately flip pages because the story is just that good. The drama between them is addicting.
Sweet with lots of feels, Tempting Tim was a real delight to read. The story was engaging, the writing was easy to follow and you felt as though you were right there with the gang. Five stars from start to finish!!
A second chance romance. A second chance to pick the right guy. A second chance for him to be brave and get the girl. Conley and Tim the closest of friends both wanting more both waiting for the other to make the move until another steps in. Fast forward and now she is back trying to find happiness looking for her friend. Can he get the girl this time?
Sexy, passionate and loving this book has it all. Get ready to get caught up and get comfortable because they are going to keep you glued to your seat until the very last word is read.
Tim and Conley have know each other practically their whole lives. They were best friends that shared everything. Tim was in a band with Conley’s boyfriend Bobby when he decided he had enough of watching the woman he loves love someone else so he returns home to help his Dad with his bar. Many years go by and Conley blows back in town after deciding that waiting on Bobby to marry her is never going to happen. Tim and Conley see each other for the first time in years and she is confused by why he is standoffish? She ends up getting a job at the bar Tim owns and they slowly work their way back to each other. This was a great second at love book.

“I’ve wanted to kiss you since the ninth grade.”
Closing my eyes, I inhaled his scent. “Then what are you waiting for?”
Tempting Tim is the kind of small town, friends to lovers romance that makes my heart soar. I knew I’d like this story from Tim and Conely’s very first interaction, and the more I read, the more in love I fell for these two! They share a history that added a bit of angst to the mix that I really enjoyed. On top of that, I fell in love with the small, charming town of Billingsley and its people. Tim and Conley’s friend group made me feel like I was one of them, just hanging out. I love when books suck me into a world like that.
All in all, I highly recommend this book!
**3.5**
Tim has been in love with Conley since he was a teenager. But when he didn’t make a move and she started dating one of his band members, Bobby, and he was friend zoned. They were the best of friends but after years of living together he couldn’t handle it anymore. He walked away from the band and the girl. Ten years later, he is running his family bar in their home town, Conley has walked away from Bobby and comes homes to start her life over.
I love me a good small town romance and this was no exception. Watching Tim and Conley reconnect, go from angry and upset with the other to friends to lovers was endearing. This was one of those books that I read in one sitting and had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading. I felt like the reason that she left Bobby was glossed over and there were things about their relationship that were alluded to but never answered that annoyed me. It felt like certain things were said for drama but there was no resolution or mention of it again so it seemed unnecessary. Still really enjoyed this book and would recommend it. I plan to go back and read the other books in this series.
This was a good read. I loved Tim but didn’t much care for Conley. Tim deserves someone so much better than Conley.
5 SEXY TIM STARS!! Wow, I loved this book….I could not put it down. Best 2 hours of my day. Tim and Conley have been friends forever and these two will take you on a journey. Their journey will give you all the feels with sexiness throughout. Looking for a quick read to escape life…here you go.
3.5 Stars!
Being new to Ms.Ellen’s work I’ve been looking forward to picking up her books! As soon as the synopsis for this one caught my eye I knew that I wanted to pick it up first! I really liked this story!
The characters made me feel many different things and I enjoyed that. I just struggled to fully connect with them at times.
I am looking forward to reading more of Ms.Ellen’s books!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from the author*
A best friend to lovers romance read that has heart and from start to finish. Wow where do I start, I enjoyed the well written storyline, but I loved the characters in this first book that I have read by the author. Tim’s character is definitely swoon worthy and his chemistry with Conley ignites as feelings are revealed to work for their HEA. I was entertained with the small town setting and the music background that brought the extra that made for a wonderful read. Can’t wait for more of this authors work.
4.5 stars
Tempting Tim by Melissa Ellen. I was so excited to read Tim’s story and it was totally worth the wait. I loved Tim, wasn’t a big fan of Conley though. Overall, I found this story to be a nice paced contemporary drama with just enough steam, second chance romance, and personal conflict to keep you interested until the end and hoping for a HEA.
