Tough, taciturn and wounded in ways that no one else knows about, Marietta rancher and part-time Deputy Sheriff Logan Tate is a man in total control of his life. Until he catches British photographer Charlotte Foster hitchhiking and ‘insists’ she gets a ride into town in his squad car… After her run-in with Deputy Hardass, Charlie Foster is ready to ride her thumb right back out of Marietta the … Marietta the very next day. But that night, a trip to Grey’s Saloon fires up her imagination – and her wild side – when she overhears the town’s first responders panicking over how to come up with the money needed to repair Harry’s House in just 90 days.
Charlie has an ingenious solution to their problem, that might just require her to photograph twelve smokin’ hot guys naked. And, as luck would have it, also involves getting some much needed payback on Deputy Hardass–who isn’t too enthusiastic about participating in the calendar shoot.
But as he spends more time with Charlie, Logan can’t ignore the chemistry sizzling between them. Can a man who lives by the rules fall in love with a woman who breaks all of his?

great read
Not much of a story. He arrests her bc she wants to finish photographing the Montana landscape and he knows the weather will change rapidly but she won’t leave. She gets caught up in a fundraiser and offers to make a sexy calendar of all the first responders . His brother offers her a stay at their ranch.
Really enjoy this author’s books!
Normal romantic novel.
Cute quick read.
Great
Beginnings to a new series of books. Charlie’s taking photos on the side of the road when Deputy Logan Tate to stop her but he is worried about her, and she argues, so he arrest her. But he gets her back to town he lets her go. But she ends up starting the calendar plans with his brother and their friends to raise money for Harry’s House & the rest is history.
Oh my! This is the first time I have had the distinct pleasure of reading anything from this author, and I sincerely hope it is not the last. What a great beginning to what promises to be an awesome series. Ms. Rice has a wonderful way of roping in her reader, giving us strong characters and creating a tale that not only keeps your interest, but makes you wish you were right there with them. In this book, we are introduced to numerous characters, including our hero and heroine. Nothing like smacking a guy upside the head! At least, that is how Logan Tate feels the moment he stumbles upon the beautiful woman putting her life at risk on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. A place that only has bad memories for him, making it all that more important that he “rescues her” and delivers her to safety. But Charlotte, aka Charlie to her friends, wants nothing of it. She’s about to miss out on the perfect shot! The sparks flying between these two are apt to start a fire, and the heat continues throughout the entirety of the story. Definitely worth the read.
I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.
Love me a good cowboy story even though I am a city girl
I like the Marietta books so it was a done deal
a great book!
Same old story about man meets a beautiful woman, she has never really gone all in with any man but this is different of course. It was OK but not that exciting.
A fun story for a relaxing read.
A fun read with interesting characters!
Had a great story line!
This was a quick fun read. Will read more by this author.
Could not put it down
I enjoyed this book and have been reading the entire series.
Wish there hadn’t been so much swearing.
I love Marietta stories and this is a really good one. I have read and enjoyed other books in the Men of Marietta series by various authors…. but somehow I had missed this book 1. That explains why it felt familiar, I did not realize til after.
Charlotte’s anxieties are compelling and well-written. So were those of Deputy Hard-Ass. The resolution made a great finale.
