“We were drawn to each other like magnets. When I was near him, I felt complete. The air changed when he neared, causing the sparks to almost be palpable.”
Wow, just wow! I have no idea where to begin.
After reading the first two books of this series, waiting for this book was like sitting on hot coals. With the first book I fell in love with all characters attached and I couldn’t be happier, that Sawyer and Kurt finally got their own book. I had high hopes and non of those got disappointed.
“I wanted that deep soul connection where it was hard to tell where one person ended and the other began.”
Tempting Perfection is very close to perfection. The chemistry between Kurt and Swayer we got a glimpse of within Knoah’s books continues to go off like fireworks through their whole story. The attraction is off the charts and never died down an inch. Character-wise they couldn’t be more different and at the same time compliment and complete each other like no other.
“There was a predatory stare about him, as if he was coming to claim me. And I wanted to be claimed – completely.”
The funny banters between Saywer and Kurt kept me smiling through the whole book. The story contains as much humor as it contains suspense. Sometimes the story goes slow, feeding the reader and the characters with a false sense of security only to throw them a next obstacle in the way. At some point, with a little perception, it gets obvious but that really doesn’t matter.
“Though as individuals we’re flawed and have a past, I think together we can tempt perfection to happen for us.”
I really do love Sawyer. She’s funny, witty, strong, honest, caring, beautiful inside out. She’s had a tough childhood and we get to know a lot of it as her relationship with Kurt continues to grow. Sawyer has a great perception for others feelings and always finds ways to help with her big heart. Even though her rough childhood she turned into an amazing woman that doesn’t back down from a challenge. It’s simply impossible not to fall in love with Sawyer.
“Because what Kurt and I have feels like perfection. … Changing anything would be tempting perfection.”
Oh dear, and I’m so in love with Kurt. I really wish we had some more chapters from his POV, because it was always a great experience being in his head. Listening to his thoughts and exploring his feelings. I guess Kurt is the most down to earth rockstar I’ve ever met in a book. He cares deeply for the ones he loves, he has a great sense of humor, is very protective of his family and is very sensitive with his feelings. In Tempting Perfection we get to know how insecure Kurt is, what makes him so closed off, denying his own happiness. Sawyer makes him see himself from a different ankle, making him believe in himself again and believing in their love and relationship. He feels so real that there is no way around not falling for him.
“The sight of her made me smile. This woman rocked my world. I would slay any dragon that came our way.”
It was also great to catch a glimpse of Knoah and Gerrick again and how things worked out for them. The end is a perfect conclusion to this trilogy.
“And I would be his forever. Kurt Hendrix owned me, body and soul.”

“Anytime you sing … you take a piece of my soul.”
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this wonderful book.
I loved, loved, loved it! The sweet romance, to the huge family drama and suspense. And George!! What’s not to love about him.
4.5 Stars!!
Kurt and Sawyer are so freaking perfect for each other! They are both practical jokers, but both have walls that they have built around themselves for protection. Each has a tragic story in their past that has helped to shape and define who they are in the present. And they are both so freaking stubborn!!! Sawyer’s past is heartbreakingly tragic, but she has been able to pick herself up time and again to move on with her life. And she is going to do the same with Kurt.
Trust is a huge thing, but the one thing more important in Kurt’s life is not turning out to be like someone else. He has struggled and pushed his way to be where he is today and he will protect those around him from the poison that invaded his earlier life. But he never imagined anyone like Sawyer. She is perfect for him, but he can’t give her what she wants … what they both want. To allow her in would be to place her in danger of the past. But he is already too late for that.
There are times in the story that are amazingly hilarious. These two characters play off each other so well! The other band members and them have created their own family and it is a beautiful thing to read. One of my favorite parts of the story is not a human character, but George the lap poodle (you gotta read this part – too freaking funny!). All in all, TEMPTING PERFECTION was an awesome read and kept me entertained with a roller coaster of emotions from the beginning to the end.
