Griffin wants his sister Juliana to marry, and she is in her first London season at age twenty-one. Julianna is a meddler, and this plot becomes a comedy of errors as Julianna tries to match up James and Amanda. And then herself and the duke. And then Aunt Frances and Lord Malmsey. The confusion is delightful in this charming book. In the end, …
I’ll read anything and everything by Lauren Royal.
This might be my new favorite historical romance. It was just so cozy and girly and fun from beginning to end — the kind of book you want to live inside. Juliana was an adorable sweetheart of a character and I loved her. James was wonderful, too; they were a perfect match!
As always with Royal’s books, there were a lot of humorous parts, which …
This delightful Regency confection has echoes of Emma in the matchmaking heroine, and the physician hero who is crusading for vaccination makes it eerily timely.

Loved the interaction of the main characters.
I’ve read all of the Chase family books now and thoroughly enjoyed each one. It’s almost a disappointment to be done as you become attached to the characters from one book to the next.
Loved is book. Couldn’t stop reading and laughing.
Good story but I was getting a little impatient with the heroine.
Fun to read.
Easy characters to fall in love with. A good romantic read.
The story was cute. Not a lot of physical romance. Th characters felt really young even though he was a spy and she was aware of spy activities. Easy read if you’ve got an hour or so.
This type of story really brings home what life was possibly like back in time. It also brings to mind how things have changed over the years. I love reading the stories you bring to life for me. Thank you so much.
I really enjoyed the story and characters.
The main character, just like Austen’s Emma, is a matchmaker with a blind spot. It is fun to watch her as romance sneaks up on her. Fun characters and stirring romantic scenes.
Everything that Royal writes has been wonderful!
Of all the Chase women, Juliana is the one to go off half-cocked, giving those Chase promises that cannot be broken, over-committing, making plans under grand assumptions of her wisdom, and almost perpetually complaining of a stomach ache. Stafford was just too much of a cad, almost a sexual predator, luring Juliana into multiple compromising …
A lot of us can relate to Juliana’s character. She wanted to help others find happiness and tried to fix problems. I enjoyed the book.
This is a sweet version of a book i had already read with a new title.
waste of my money
Tempting Juliana was part of a boxed set I read a few months ago, titled It Happened One Night: Six Scandalous Novels. Most of the novels were well worth the time I spent reading them, though Tempting Juliana was one of my favorites.
I’ve read other books in the Chase Family series by Lauren Royal. One cannot usually go wrong in reading one of …
