Warning: Tempting Devil is a dark new adult high school bully romance intended for mature readers. This book is part of a series but can be enjoyed as a standalone. The Sinners and Saints series boys are all devilish antiheroes brought to their knees by a spitfire heroine, so if you love enemies-to-lovers and hate-to-love type stories, you’re in the right place. This mature new adult romance contains dubious situations, bullying, blackmail, power imbalance, crude language, and intense sexual/violent content that some readers might find triggering or offensive. Please proceed with caution.

re-reading this book made me realize how well it’s aged, like devlinblair have literally become one of my favourite na ships.
i had zero expectations going in because the first book honestly bored me but i’m really surprised at how much i ended up loving tempting devil. use of a “make a deal with the devil” trope as a play on devlin’s name was well done, and it made this book different from your typical formulaic dark na romances where the popular boy bullies the new girl/shy girl and then they eventually fall in lust with each other etc etc.
devlin and blair have a really twisted relationship in the beginning but i didn’t get a sense of power imbalance because blair was a really internally strong character who was willing to do literally anything for her mother. she’s not the nerd, she’s not the shy girl, she’s not a bad bitch, she’s just someone trying to make the most of her scholarship opportunity and help her sick mother make ends meet. devlin was a great character too, usually i don’t care for the poor little rich boy thing most guys have going on in this genre but he’s self-aware which helps and his character development was very gradual and didn’t happen because of some traumatic near death experience or big event. one thing i really appreciated about their relationship was they’re genuinely compatible and do things together, and sex wasn’t used as a plot device for them to catch feelings for each other. the physical part of their relationship happened after they were both internally aware of strong feelings they had for each other.
overall, i enjoyed blair and devlin’s dynamic a lot and was pleasantly surprised by the this book. the two epilogues at the end were really sweet and i hope we see more of them in the future i would read anything about them
“You showed me your stars. You told me to make a wish on your star and I did. Whenever I felt alone, I wished on stars.”
5/5 stars
This is probably my favourite book in 2020. That explains my Goodreads @, my Twitter @ and my Instagram @ … they’re my people. I can’t believe I did not write a proper review before but here go.
Tempting Devil is the second book of the Sinners and Saints series, but you can read it as a standalone too!. This book follows the story of Devlin Murphy (who is known as The Dark Devil of Silver Lake High) and Blair Davis.
After Blair gets caught trying to steal Devlin’s red Porsche, he gives her the choice to deal with the police or, do everything Devlin says while getting a financial reward. There isn’t a dull moment in this book. The relationship between Blair and Devlin is intense, he hates her and has been bullying her for 3 years.
Devlin is a rich asshole and a bully. Perfect description of him. However, as I continued the book the hero grew on me. A lot. When he didn’t know how to apologise and poured a glass of water on himself … i lost it there. And when he was walking around with a small bottle of the shampoo that Blair used in his pocket after she left… i lost it there too. I love him.
“My fingers itch to comb through silky, soft, vanilla-scented hair. Her scent faded from my sheets and I’ve taken to walking around with a small bottle of her shampoo in my pocket. I take it out when things become too much, inhaling it while I picture her deep brown eyes, her lips, the way she fit so fucking perfectly in my arms.”
And we have Blair, who’s my best girl. Life isn’t easy for her. She’s always been strong for her mom since her father left them. She’s just so… Blair Davis. Exactly. She’s so strong, trying to survive, trying to keep the roof over hers and her mums head while taking care of her mum too. I’m telling you, best girl ever !! She’s also so sassy, determined, cute and obsessed with pugs 🙁
The character development here was amazing. I loved we were able to get to know both the hero’s and heroine’s perspectives, as well as their individual storyline’s. See how he’s called ‘the devil’ but calls Blair ‘angel’… they got me. They really got me.
”We’re the same: black hair, tarnished hearts, and star tattoos.”
Devlin and Blair were meant for each other, two broken and lost souls that met when they were kids and started wishing on shooting stars.
I love enemies-to-lovers trope but the fact that this is childhood friends to strangers to enemies to lovers trope just hits different.
I’m just so grateful that Veronica wrote this book because this has become my comfort book and couple.
Absolutely no words as to how much I really enjoyed and loved these characters.
Tempting Devil is the second book of the Sinners and Saints series. It’s Devlin and Blair’s book and it was filled with so much chemistry between them!
Blair Davis is one of my favorite female characters because she always stood up for herself and really cared about the people close to her. I liked that she never let people simply walk all over her and tried to make the best out of unfortunate situations. I really enjoyed reading her pov because her personality was really enjoyable to read as much as her thoughts.
Devlin Murphy was a character that really interested from the first book. You always have these mysterious secondary characters in the beginning of the series and now we finally get to know his past and his life. I was able to understand some of the actions he took and the way he felt towards certain things. The past he had with Blair was something that was good for the story because you actually get to know what is it that happened between them and why it had such an affect towards him and his emotions. Overall, I really liked the moments between Devlin and Blair and the way their emotions finally got the best of them.
Veronica Eden really did surprise me with this one. It was so well written that I wanted so much more cute moments between the characters. I can’t wait for what’s in store for the rest of the series!
This was such an entertaining read. I honestly didn’t expect to love this book and couple as much as I did. I didn’t have a lot of expectations going into this but this enemies-to-lovers bully romance was so good, I devoured it in a day.
This book follows Blair, someone who is financially unstable, who gets herself into an interesting situation with the school king, Devlin. Veronica Eden throws readers right into the action so it picks up pace very quickly and wow is it intriguing.
Devlin and Blair have such a twisted and epic-ly hilarious relationship. Blair is a bad bitch. She is independent and strong. She has quite the mouth on her and the way she cares for mom makes me soft and happy. Devlin is also an interesting character. I’m a sucker for sad rich boys who have real emotions behind their facade and boy did he do it for me. The chemistry between the two of them is fiery hot but Blair and Devlin are genuinely so compatible emotionally. I cried quite a few times because they are so sweet and getting to see them fall in love was magical.
I loved this book, truly. Devlin and Blair hold a special place in my heart and I hope to see more of them in the next book, please. This was my first book by Veronica Eden and wow, I am so surprised and happy that I found this. I did go read the first book after this one and this book is definitely the best so far. Veronica’s writing is beautiful and her characters are cute and spunky. I’m so excited for the next book! I cannot wait to read Ruthless Bishop.
This is a bully romance book that pushed all the limits! These two are so strong and yet have those weak points that just strengthen when they are together. This series gets better with every book and I can’t wait to see more.
The difference between this high school bully, romance book and others is the fact that this bully is actually a nice guy. Mean? Yes. Broken? Yes. Hungry for someone to love him? A big yes! I think this is one of the main reasons why it’s hard to hate him even when he is being so mean to Blair. It broke my heart to read how he was neglected at home in his huge house. No amount of money cannot make up the emptiness of being alone. The arrangement that he made with Blair was just his need of a connection.
Blair was easy to like as well. I loved the relationship she had with her mom and the fact that she would do anything to take care of her. I know it’s not always the child’s responsibility to care for the parents, but she had to in this case. It made you want to root for her even more.
Then, there is a relationship between Blair and Devlin. The friendship that grew between them before they even started to become physical with each other was sweet. They were both very likable and you wanted the best for them. I think I even liked this book better than the first one, and the first one was fantastic. I’m looking forward to listening to Bishop’s story.
This was the first time I have heard anything narrated by Meg and Michael. Listening to them made it feel like you were actually watching a movie in your head. They brought the emotions out so well and I loved the duet style. This was very entertaining and I’ll recommend it over and over again. It is well worth the credit.
This is the second book in the AMAZING Sinners and Saints Series, a bully romance. I love this Series! Devlin and Blair’s enemies to lovers story is captivating! I loved to follow them in their journey to love! Blair is beautiful, strong, and supportive. Devlin is the perfect antihero, handsome, secretive, and protective. They are two beautiful broken souls, two perfect soulmates! Their story is beautifully written. I love the ending. Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher did an outstanding job with the narration. They are perfect as Devlin and Blair. I HIGHLY recommend this Series. #TheFlock #PinkFlamingoProductions

Tempting Devil
Dark New Adult High School Bully Romance (Sinners and Saints)
By: Veronica Eden
Narrated by: Meg Sylvan, Michael Gallagher
Veronica Eden delivers another dark and twisted bully romance in her “Sinners and Saints” series. I am loving this series, the characters are amazing and the awesome storylines are captivating from start to end. This is is Devlin and Blair’s story, it is an enemies to lovers, an opposites attract type romance that turns into so much more. The characters are complex and continually develop and grow throughout the story. Devlin comes from an affluent family and is one of the most popular guys at schools. He grew up with everything he ever needed and then some, you would think he had it all but we learn otherwise. And then there was Blair, she had nothing and in his eyes she was nothing, until she turned into something, something to play with. I loved how everything plays out in this book, I admired Blair for strength and determination, as well as her love and devotion for her mother. I thought Devlin and Blair were great together and for each other, neither had the perfect life but they each had something the other needed. There is never a dull moment in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt and emotional moments which pays off in the end with an amazing romance. Veronica Eden, thank you for another great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to what comes next in this fantastic series.
I listened to the Audible edition, Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life. They did an awesome job portraying the characters, grasping each persona and making the role their own. Meg Sylvan’s Blair was spot on, as was Michael Gallagher’s Devlin, they sounded just as I pictured them to sound. These talented narrators are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen

Tempting Devil by Veronica Eden is a dark new adult high school bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher. This is the second book in the Sinners and Saints series and can be read as a standalone.
The book does come with a warning “This mature new adult romance contains dubious situations, bullying, blackmail, power imbalance, crude language, and intense sexual/violent content that some readers might find triggering or offensive. Please proceed with caution.”
This is the second book of Veronica’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I absolutely loved the relationship between Blair and Devlin. Their relationship started off terrible but in the end you couldn’t help but root for them.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series Ruthless Bishop to be released on audible so I can get Thea and Connor’s story.
Meg and Michael did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would highly recommend this book if you like dark romances, bully romances, or enemies to lovers.

Tempting Devil
Sinners and Saints #2
By: Veronica Eden
Narrated by: Meg Sylvan, Michael Gallagher
Pink Flamingo Productions
After meeting Lucas and Gemma in book one, I was looking forward to Devlin’s story and absolutely loved it. Veronica Eden writes another edgy, bully romance that had me engaged in the story and needed to keep listening. Devlin is senior in high school, and his existence is to make Blair’s life miserable. After all, she tried to steal his car and doesn’t really belong in the affluent high school. Now as his puppet, she will perform for him,and he will pay her. Blair is in need of the money. Her mother is sick and her dad is no where to be found. Will Blair bend to his will to keep her family afloat? Devlin definitely has an evil streak to him. This gritty romance lets us see how Devlin became who he is. There are moments that will make you cringe, and moments that will tear your heart out. At the same time, we will see a warmth in Blair, despite her challenges that may just help melt the cold heart of this young man. Loved this, the antics, the depth to what you will do to help those you love and the slow burn of their romance. Another fantastic story added to the Sinners and Saints series.
Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher are our storytellers and they are fantastic. Perfect casting for new adult voices, these two bring out all kinds of nuances with their voices. Sylvan brings out such strength in Blair and the compassion in her voice as we get further into the story incredible. Michael Gallagher has evil down to a science, but he can do broken and loving too. Such incredible talents bringing this to life. Loved it!

Tempting Devil is one of the best enemies to lovers romance novels that I have ever read. I think this book is extremely amazing that I can’t stop obsessing over them after I’ve finished reading it. For me, Blair and Devlin’s relationship hits differently than most fictional couples ever did (so basically they’re one of my top ten fictional couples).
You know, what makes this book so interesting is the amount of hatred that these two characters have for each other. Why? Well, like some other romance novels, the couples hate each other for like a few chapters and after that, they started to lust over each other which can be pretty boring for me. But this book? LMAO, it truly shows the amount of intensity that these two have. Even more, Devlin started to bully Blair for years (this is more than enough to show how much he hates her and vice versa). But still, we can’t deny the chemistry and the sexual tension between Devlin and Blair that made the entire book so much enjoyable.
Now let’s talk about the characters. I TRULY ADORE BLAIR AND DEVLIN SO MUCH! In this book, Blair is such a QUEEN! She’s one of the most badass female leads that I’ve ever read when it comes to New Adult genre. Like you can’t help but stan her so hard because she’s extremely strong and her love towards her mother is undescribable where she’s willing to do anything for her. Whereas for Devlin? Yeah, he’s an asshole but deep inside he’s a softie who longs for someone to love him. Like urgh, once you’re able to see the real Devlin, you can’t help but love him.
Overall, this book is nothing but a perfection for me and I considered it as my comfort book (even tho it shouldn’t be ). The entire storyline is truly well developed and I think Veronica did an amazing job to deliver such a memorable story. It was beautiful, angsty, emotional, captivating, and so much more. The amount of tears that I spent reading this book can already prove how good it really is. Now, every time I think about DevlinBlair, I can’t help but sigh with happiness.
P.S I bought the paperback as soon as I’ve finished reading it (Bear in mind that I’m extremely picky when it comes to paperback).
P.P.S I CAN’T WAIT FOR DEVLINBLAIR NOVELLA!!! URGH, I’VE BEEN SALIVATING FOR THEM FOR MONTHS
Yes it’s a bully romance but Blair and Devlin have a chemistry that goes off the scale, when you look into their relationship its definitely an omg moment, Veronica Eden is a new Author to me but after reading Wicked Saint I was and am hooked. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Oh.My.Freaking.Gawd I’m officially in LOVE with Devlin and Blair!!! Tempting Devil has all of the things you want in a bully romance.
Super hot sports jock who is an egotistical monster on the outside yet 100% redeemable.
Girl who has fallen on hard times but refuses to give up and loves people unconditionally.
Amazing chemistry in and out of the bedroom.
All The Things
I am so glad that I binged this series. We originally meet Devlin and Blair in Wicked Saint and you could tell that there were some sparks happening between the two. Blair may not have much in terms of physical possessions, yet her heart is full is love. Devlin has the opposite, world at his feet and anything his money can buy, except love from the people he craves the most. Gah! I almost forgot about the playlist that accompanies this book. I’m an admitted sucker for a Spotify playlist and we got that with this book and the last one in the series. We also get to see Lucas and Gemma from Wicked Saint in this book. While you don’t necessarily have to read book one before reading this I would recommend it. It will help you understand all of the secondary characters more and give you a little glimpse into the history between Devlin and Blair.
I honestly can’t think of one thing I didn’t like about this book! Do yourself a favor and read this asap!
When opposites collide.. the explosion is mesmerizing, you just can’t look away!
If you’re looking for a complicated, tortured, drool-worthy alpha male (with a heart underneath all his bravado) and a focused, take no shit, smart-mouthed and blue balls giving beauty, you’re in for a treat with Tempting Devil.
Devlin & Blair’s chemistry and passion leaps off the page, and when the bully falls to his knees for his prey, it’s a beautiful thing to watch..
This book is amazing. I honestly wasn’t expecting all these intense feelings that Devlin and Blair stirred up in my heart. I was really curious to read their story since I met them in the previous book. What a surprise to encounter both characters that in the meantime had grown and obviously matured. A story that initially made me so mad because Devlin really was an intolerable and spoiled brat (in this circumstance I would have cursed but it’s not ladylike). I loved the ending but I would have loved reading some more. A book highly recommended.
Not everyone follows the uniform code at Silver Lake High School, but most are doing that in an act of rebellion, Blair doesn’t wear the uniform for a totally different reason.. she can’t afford it. Life hasn’t been easy for her and her mom, but she does her best to just take it day by day and tries her best to not let the spoiled rich kids bullying get to her too badly. For one moment Blair decides in an act of desperation that teaching Devlin a lesson while at the same time scoring some quick cash is a win win situation. She never thought she would get caught, she never thought that she would have to make a deal with the Devil. But she does, she makes a deal and sells her soul; now she has to wait and see just what torment the Devil will put her through. But the lines get crossed somehow and she starts to look at Devlin in a different light. Is she crazy for thinking that maybe she can trust Devlin, one of her main tormentors, or is this just another game for him?
I do not know why I enjoy these bully romances so much, but I do and this one was fantastic! With loads of drama, some really HOT naughty moments, coupled with a few bits of OMG what a d-bag and this read was spectacular! I give this 5 stars.
My Rating: ****
Type: Standalone
Genre: contemporary Bully Romance
Narration: Dual POV
Primary Characters: Devlin & Blair

I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for honest review.
I was intrigued by Blair and Devlin’s story from the time I have read Wicked Saint. We meet both of
them in Wicked Saint, at that time they are juniors. Now they are seniors and Devlin rules the school.
Devlin acts cool and closed off and he is a bully in school. But he is struggling for his parent’s affection and approval. His parents have neglected him due to work and he is sort of living by himself. He bully’s Blair in school and as he thinks she doesn’t belong there and hates her. To get back to him for all the bullying she has to go through she plans to steal his favorite car and destroy it. As blurb says, she gets caught in the act. He gives her an option to either go to jail or become his Pet. Blair with no option left agrees to it.
First half of the book consists of Devlin taking bullying to greater extent. He wants to extract revenge from Blair for trying to steal his car. She comes off as meek but she strongly endures all his shit. She has her own financial problems and tries to stay afloat along with tolerating Devlin in school. What exactly was a game changer? What started as a game for Devlin changed into more. So, what is that?
“Survival always outweighs pride when it comes down to it”.
The character development in this tale was good. Things develop gradually. Totally loved Bishop and Thea, looking forward to know more of them in Ruthless Bishop. Loved seeing Lucas and Gemma.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. It’s a good one time read with well written situations and progress in the story.

He looks down on her and her sticky fingered behaviour. She simply doesn’t belong.
She’s going to get her revenge on him, for all he’s done, and help her family at the same time.
Can two people who collide see the truth that no one else does..?
Oh wow the darkness that is he, is simply divine. From his attitude to his behaviour I couldn’t get enough!
She’s his plaything and whilst I wanted her feisty inner goddess to shine through, I fully understood her reasoning for her newly acquired submissive ways.
When they clash and the fireworks begin, it felt like christmas was here again! so much excitement and delight.
My heart was galloping whilst reading this, and then all of a sudden out of nowhere it changed tactic and I fell in love. I was swooning after him like a schoolgirl with her first crush!
This series is one you dont want to miss. The first book blew me away and this book both amazed the living daylights out of me and left me with a gooey mess of a heart!
Veronica Eden is on fire with her words! I cant wait to see who’s up next and where she takes us!
This is the second book in the Sinners and Saints series, and the story of Devlin, and Blair. When Blair tries to seek revenge on Devlin, after being the target of his years of bullying, she is caught, and making a deal with her tormentor is the only way out. This was another great read, the characters are well written, and have great chemistry. This book was intense, twisted, dramatic, raw, gritty, emotional, and steamy.
The chemistry between the 2 main characters sizzles right off the pages! Blair is a feisty heroine that will do anything for the people she cares about and devlin is well, the Devil! The push and the pull between these two makes for an exciting read!!
