Warning: Tempting Devil is a dark new adult high school bully romance intended for mature readers. This book is part of a series but can be enjoyed as a standalone. The Sinners and Saints series boys are all devilish antiheroes brought to their knees by a spitfire heroine, so if you love enemies-to-lovers and hate-to-love type stories, you’re in the right place. This mature new adult romance contains dubious situations, bullying, blackmail, power imbalance, crude language, and intense sexual/violent content that some readers might find triggering or offensive. Please proceed with caution.

“Tempting Devil” is the second book in the “Saints and Sinners” series. Blair and Devlin’s story was by far my favorite so far. I enjoyed this book more than the first one. We got some glimpses, in the first book, of the hostility between Devlin and Blair, however in this one we get to really experience it.
Blair has always been the outsider at school. After all she’s the scholarship girl in a sea of wealthy and privileged students. From a young age, since her father abandon them, she’s been struggling to survive. Weigh down with gambling debts from her father and her mother’s withering health, she’s fighting to make ends meet. Her latest crazy stand is what gets her into Devlin’s hands with no way out.
Devlin is the new King of the school after Lucas graduated. All his life, he’s been hiding his true self behind a mask. Lately he finds it even more difficult to keep up the façade. Blair is his only entertainment at school. After her last attempt to steal his car, he has her where he wants her. She can’t get out of the situation, so he makes her a deal!
“We match. Black hair. Blacker hearts, dark and frayed by circumstance. But maybe we can heal our bruises together. Two broken souls finding solace and salvation in the depths of each other’s darkness.”
These two have so much chemistry. Blair is feisty and won’t relent to his bullying, even when her humiliation is his amusement. Two people broken come together by hatred but stay together because it was meant to be. There’s more to their connections than what they initially thought. Blair brings out the best of Devlin, even though he can’t shed his devilish ways completely!
I really enjoyed the book. I felt sad with Blair’s predicament and everything her mom was going through. It was good to see Lucas and Gemma as well; I was curious to see how they were doing. I’m looking forward to Bishop and Thea’s book!!!
4 amazing stars!
Bully romance has become one of my favorite genres. And this series is a great example of why. Devlin has bullied Blair for years and now after she tried to steal his car she sells her soul to him to stay out of jail. Needing money to help her sick mother she will do whatever Devlin wants. Only what starts out as him being a jerk slowly turns into an explosive relationship.
I loved these two. Together they are raw and sexy. I really liked their story and this series. Very excited for the next book so we can see what is going on with Bishop and Thea!

This book takes back to Silver Lake High, and boys who rule the school. This book focuses on Devlin, and the lonely life he is living. He is left all alone in his father’s huge house. Devlin takes out his frustration with picking on others, and picking up lots of girls. In fact there has only ever been one who has turned him down. Meet Blair, the girl who takes no prisoners, and it tired of Devlin being at the top of the food chain.
What follows next is a good build up of push and pull between the two characters. Blair gives as good as she gets, and finds herself in a predicament that places her in Devlin’s clutches. While Blair does hold out on their attraction for a little bit she gives him pretty fast considering how she feels about men in general. The redeeming factor is that Devlin falls just as quickly, and just as intense.
These two characters were written to balance each other well. They stand as a united front, and support each other as they have to deal with some of the crappy things life throws as them. I am excited to see what happens next with the elite boys of Silver Lake High in the next book.
I am absolutely in love with this genre!
Ms. Eden’s second in the series, is an emotional, intense read!
OMG, Devlin. I wanted to wrap him up, cuddle him, and make his life better! Blair was so strong. She was Amazing!
Sometimes it takes pain to get to a good place! Devlin and Blair had to work very hard for their happiness.
I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This is the 2nd book in this awesome series and is Blair and Devlin / The Devil’s story. Devlin is now king of the school, and Blaire is a scholarship student whom he loves to torment. These two come from totally different backgrounds yet they have more in common than they think, and the chemistry between them is off the charts. This is one of those stories which just had to be devoured in one sitting, and in my opinion, this talented author had outdone herself in penning this fantastic tale, which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster as well as being an intense and all-consuming enemies / lovers’ story. I highly recommend for all.
This was an interesting enemies-to-lovers bully romance. I’d like to read more of this series to see if I enjoy it more.
There’s only three words I can think of to describe Tempting Devil – dark, beautiful and moving. The story of Devlin and Blair blew me away and it’s been a while since a book affected me like this. I found myself unable to dislike or hate Devlin despite the way he treats Blair as you could tell he was a damaged soul who was lost and needed to feel like he was in control of everything in his life. I also loved seeing Blair standing up for herself after all the abuse and bullying she’d experienced, including at the hands of Devlin who redeems himself more than once. For me, however, it has to be chapter 16 that stands out the most because it broke my heart and stayed with me throughout the rest of the book. It was such a moving moment when Devlin realises just who Blair really is and this is then weaved into other heart melting moments of the story.
I discovered Veronica Eden by chance when I came across Wicked Saint and I thank the stars that I did because this series is one of the best I’ve read in a long time. Whilst the market feels swamped with bully romance, the Sinners and Saints series stands out and is one that readers MUST download today. Veronica Eden is a talented author who deserves more recognition and needs more confidence in her amazing work. For me, there’s no doubt that this author’s books will become best sellers.
Connor and Thea are up next in Ruthless Bishop, which can’t come soon enough! Roll on summer 2020!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book
You know you read a damn good book when you’re still thinking about it days later. I loved Wicked Saint and Veronica Eden killed it with Tempting Devil. I didn’t think I would love Devlin’s character and I fell for him with his page. He was broody, sexy AF, the typical NO F’s given bully who breaks down his walls after each chapter. Blair Davis aka Sticky Fingers… LOVE HER! She is one tough cookie who’s had to grow up quicker than normal kids. But when her world comes crashing down when her mom gets sick and the devil himself catches her, her world gets thrown for a loop.
This story had me at the edge of my seat. I was screaming at my kindle, I was swooning, crying and then crying tears of joy. I loved every page and I cannot wait for Bishop’s story next. This series is amazing and it deserves more than 5 stars!!!
So amazingly good!!! I did not want this book to end! I loved all the push and pull and conflicting emotions, it was a fabulous roller-coaster of emotional highs and lows. Blair and Devlin were fantastic together and had so much chemistry. It’s a fine line writing high school kids but giving them deeper emotions so they come off mature enough that the readers can relate and it was done beautifully here. The story was extremely well written and I couldn’t put it down but at the same time didn’t want it to end. A perfect example of a dark bully romance. I would give 10 stars if I could!
Voluntary review of an ARC
Veronica Eden, once again, did a great job with book 2 in the Saints and Sinners series. She did a great job setting the scenes without inundating us with too much information. In this book it’s all about Devlin and Blair. It starts out as a game with Devlin asserting his power (money) of Blair who is poor. However, he soon realizes that, with her, she can give him what he has been looking for…family. Once I started reading Tempting Devil, it was hard to put it down! It pulled me in from the very beginning and I am definitely looking forward to the next installment.
This just might be my favorite high school bully romance of the year! Seriously, this book had me hooked from the first page.
Devlin has tormented Blair all throughout high school. He’s rich, she’s poor but they find out they have more in common than they thought.
He catches her red-handed and makes a deal with her. Do whatever he says or he’ll call the cops.
He puts Blair through so much hell. What he does, his followers reciprocate, so Blair’s torment is double.
Then Devlin uncovers a piece of information that is a game changer. What was a game slowly becomes something else but these two have so much history hating each other that trusting the other and giving in to their feelings is one of the hardest things for them.
Devlin is the anti-hero that I quickly fell in love with. Is he perfect? No. Is his bullying excusable? Heck no! But he’s holding stuff in that no one really sees.
Blair can’t catch a break. She only wants to survive and take care of the one person that has been her backbone. She tries to blend in and not draw attention but Devlin has made it his personal mission to bully Blair.
If you love bully high school romance, you need to read this! It’s delicious, it’s intense, it’s emotional, and it’s incredibly good!
I really enjoy bully stories (not sure what that says about me, except it plays to one of my kinks!). This one was particularly good, just like the first book in this series. I can’t wait to read Thea and Bishop’s story.
Ms. Eden is an excellent writer. The angst is just coming off the pages. The sexual tension is palpable. This will be one that goes into my library to be read again.
TOTAL RATING:
ARC PROVIDED FOR AN HONEST REVIEW
ALERT: BEST BULLY-ROMANCE BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!
Veronica Eden is a new author that I have started reading, and it took her just 2 books to jump straight to my “best-authors-list”!!!
yes , that’s how good she is!
I pretty much had been drooling after devlin from the first time I read about him in wicked saint. And then moment I read the scene where veronica hinted the relationship of devlin and blair , lets just say that I was willing to give away my first born to get my hands on that book!!!
I just loved devlin. Is there any word above loved?? if yes , then note that as my feelings for devlin. I mean it was almost twisted , that the more ruthless he became, the more I liked him!
The chemistry Blair and Devlin had was off the charts. From the moment I first met blair in wicked saint, I knew there was more to her . When I came to know about her story in this book, my heart just broke for her. I just loved her ruthlessness and the strength with which she faced devlin.
Devlin on the other hand, I wanted to smack real hard! He was such an asshole!! the least he could have done was to ask blair about her reasons for her thieving, but nooooo, he had to bend the situation according to his benefit. But then had it not been his twisted thinking, they would have been able to face the feelings they had for each other!
As much as I loved the ruthless devlin, Part of me ached for his vulnerable scenes !! I nearly broke my finger on my kindle, highlighting those scenes. The ending of this book was perfect to me and i liked the way both devlin and blair finally gave in to the feelings they has for each other!!
now its like deja vu , because I literally can’t wait for bishop’s book!!! From the moment i read that scenes of his and thea, I just want to storm the author and demand her to give me the book !
anyway, I would recommend this book to all the bully romance lovers, Because the bullying aspect of this book was hardcore and part of me liked this books because there were less mushy-mushy feelings and the characters were fucking perfect for each other!!!
Another hit by Veronica Eden!! Loved Devlin and Blair and the story premise. The push – pull between these two throughout the book is great!!! Hooked from page 1!

An intense and emotional read that grabbed my attention from the get-go. It’s dark at times but mesmerizing all the time.

I just found a new favorite author. This book had everything I love in a good bully romance angst, enemies to lovers with a whole lot of heat. This genre has exploded recently and it’s felt like the same story has been rehashed over an over but not this book. It was refreshing with an original story line. I hadn’t read the first book in the series yet but that didn’t take away from the story as each can be read as a stand alone. However I loved it so much I’m getting book 1 and can’t wait for Bishop’s book. I can’t wait to read more by this Author.

‘ . . , .’
Alright. I knew I loved Devlin in Wicked Saint, but this blew that right out of the water. I just wanna hug him a little tighter this go around, and maybe also slap some sense into him. You know, normal feelings for fictional characters.
Blair really came into her own in this one. She showed us her fight, and her reason for the fight. She gave us 100%, and then just a little bit more.
Somewhere in the medium burn lane, some of these scenes scorched my fingertips as I swiped pages. The full experience is here. And these other guys don’t have NOTHING on the Devil.
I’ve really fallen in love with Eden’s writing style, the way she captures my interest from the first scene, and doesn’t let go, the incredibly flawed characters that hit so very close to home.
Shelve this one in my favorites.
Veronica Eden has done it again with the second installment of the Sinners and saints series. This time we get Blair and Devlin’s story. Devlin is the perfect anti-hero, but deep down you love to hate him. I loved the complexity of their relationship and i enjoyed watching Blair give him a run for his money!! The chemistry was of the charts from the get go with these two and what a story it was. This was a proper enemy to love romance, the sex scenes were off the charts and the story brought out so many emotions it really was like being on a roller coaster. You cant help fall in love with Devlin and i’m so happy they get their HEA. I cant wait for Bishops story now!!

This book had me going from one emotion to the next. I wanted to choke Devlin one minute and wrap him up the next. What started out as a typical bully in school turned into something so raw and honest. It’s a very good read.
Tempting Devil takes place at Silver Lake High School. A place where the Elite rule. Blair Davis, dubbed Sticky Fingers and Little Thief, certainly don’t fit and Devlin Murphy dubbed the Devil King makes sure she knows she’s not welcome. After she makes a huge mistake he soon comes up with an idea for the ultimate revenge and puts her through the paces. Neither of them have any idea what h*^l the other’s lives are like at home. Both of them have so much to contend with and even though they’re definitely on different playing fields they find something in each other that sparks an interest in learning more. This is a beautifully written story that tells about not so beautiful upbringings but these two somehow complete each other.
