From USA Today Bestseller Wendy Vella comes an exciting Regency series about legend, love and destiny, with a hint of magic … pain until now, so it’s a shock when his night-time angel is living and breathing. As determined and opinionated as she is beautiful, Alice Sinclair soon demands something from him he never thought he was capable of giving. The passionate innocent soon masters his heart and Nicholas must face the biggest gamble of his life: risking love or losing her forever.
Alice is aware of her family’s legend but never believed it was her destiny to marry a dashing Raven. Until the day she rescues one. Vastly different in experience and beliefs – where she is innocent, Nicholas is jaded – their growing attraction is irresistible. Priding herself on practicality, nothing has prepared Alice for Nicholas’ searing sensuality. Before she realizes the depth of her feelings, she forces him back into the hell of his past. Now she’s convinced he’ll never forgive her because she can’t forgive herself. Will their dangerous temptation lead to heartbreak or forever?

I enjoyed this book so much I’m hooked on the entire series. The characters are great and the story line is so addicting!
The story has a strange twist. But most enjoying.
I loved this series. I hated it to end. I couldn’t put it down
Slow reading.
What a treat to stumble on this book and catch up with characters I’d enjoyed from a previous book in this series! This is a fun series where the “villains” get their just desserts and “family” always come to each others aid. A great escape!
Great series!!
It was such a good read I had to find the other books in the series to read the rest of the Raven-Sinclair family stories.
Absolutely love it!
Couldn’t wait to see what this family got into next! Loved all the different abilities family members possessed and how they all stuck together.
I loved the whole series.
I have never been disappointed by a Vella book.
I love the Sinclair-Raven books. I love all of Wendy Vella’s books.
Great series. Can read each independent of order.
Destiny brings them together… but will love cause his downfall?
With his demons well and truly leashed, reformed gambler, Lord Nicholas Braithwaite is tasked with finding a missing baby. Needing help, it comes in the form of the woman from his visions.
His preternatural gift has caused nothing but pain until now, so it’s a shock when his night-time angel is living and breathing.
Alice is aware of her family’s legend but never believed it was her destiny to marry a dashing Raven. Until the day she rescues one.
Since this is the first book I have read of the six in this series I can’t really say how much this couple has interacted in the previous five books.
I do know, however that I was not lost in spite of having not read any of the other books.
I would say this book with it’s air of mystery and supernatural can easily be read as a standalone.
I did not enjoy this book as much as I thought I would though and gave it 3.75 of 5.0 stars for story line and characterization. I own and have read other books by this author, just not ones from this series.

Tempting not only Danger, but also love.
Raised in the countryside, Miss Alice Sinclair was always considered the levelheaded sister. However, when forced to come to London for the Season, Alice became the one who took risks and thumbed her nose at societal rules. It was during just such behavior that she may have met her match, and her future.
After years of addicted debauchery, Lord Nicholas Braithwaite has been living his life as a changed and honorable man. He has yet to forgive himself, but he’s trying to reach that point. With so much on his mind, it’s little wonder that he ends up needing to be rescued by a most unlikely person. He may just have met his match, and his future.
I have loved the Sinclair & Raven series since the first book. This latest addition, Tempting Danger, is another entertaining read by Wendy Vella. As with the prior books, the plot is well written and well paced, with a balance of thoughts and dialogue. The characters are diverse, each with their own personality and voice. Even though each is flawed, I really like both Alice and Nicholas. They are evenly matched in the stubborn department, and in the fiery attraction. As with the prior books, there is also a bit of danger and a twist to spice up the plot. But all is well because there is also a happy ending for the intrepid lovers.
Content alert: In addition for secular and religious vulgarities, there is also sensual dialogue and described sexual intimacy.
Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book from the author. I am voluntarily submitting my honest review.
4.5 stars – I cannot get enough of the Raven and Sinclair Series. I love meeting new family members and catching up with the ones I’ve already fallen in love with.
Tempting Danger is Lord Nicholas Braithwaite and Alice Sinclair’s story. Nick, a marquess, is a Raven cousin and Sinclair brother, by marriage. Blessed with the gift of sight and, in his opinion, cursed with the same, he’s a former wastrel gambler who was pulled from the brink of ruin by his Raven and Sinclair families. Nick first meets Alice, the woman who will claim his heart, when she saves his life (for the first time) from footpads intent on doing him harm.
Before coming to London Alice was always considered the thoughtful, cautious family member, but not anymore. She’s become a bit irrational and thwarts convention at every turn. She has a developed sense of hearing, but the truth is that her heart is pretty over developed as well. When a friend in need reaches out to her, she tries to help but her methods constantly put herself in danger, despite having the very best intentions. She and Nick are constantly saving one another throughout the read. Watching them fall in love was delightful, especially their attempts to keep countless people (whom have heightened senses) in the dark about their budding romance. Bonus, this one reads a bit like an unabridged version, so you get more details adding yummy layers and depth to the story. Suffice it to say, I love and highly recommend it!
