From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby comes a new story in her Big Sky series… Brooke’s Blooms has taken Cunningham Falls by surprise. The beautiful, innovative flower shop is trendy, with not only gorgeous flower arrangements, but also fun gifts for any occasion. This store is Brooke Henderson’s deepest joy, and it means everything to her, which shows in how … how completely she and her little shop have been embraced by the small community of Cunningham Falls.
So, when her landlord dies and Brody Chabot saunters through her door, announcing that the building has been sold, and will soon be demolished, Brooke knows that she’s in for the fight of her life. But she hasn’t gotten this far by sitting back and quietly doing what she’s told. Hustle is Brooke’s middle name, and she has no intention of losing this fight, no matter how tempting Brody’s smile — and body — is.
Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.

Let me start with, I love the 1001 Dark Nights novellas. They give secondary characters a voice without losing sight of a series or story. They’re packed with just the right dose of sexy, sophistication, and sass. It’s really hard not to love these sweet minis.
Every time I read a book in the Big Sky series it transports me to a one of the Hallmark movies, except I get all the sexy bits. The men are sweet but they’re alpha. The heroine is strong but soaks up the charm that is thrown her way.
Brooke and Brody fall under the trope of second chance. Second chance to explore what they didn’t dare voice back then. Second chance to give Cunningham Falls a reason to charm you. I really loved the chemistry between Brooke and Brody. I especially loved that there’s more to come from this dreamy town.
If you’ve never read a 1001 Dark Nights book, this a good start. If you’ve never read a Kristen Proby novel, this story is the perfect introduction to her work since it has her sexy signature.
Tempting Brooke is a fun, must read
Tempting Brooke is a novella in the Big Sky series by the ever talented, Kristen Proby. I love this series just as hard as her others. You can read this as a complete standalone. Brooke was introduced but only briefly in the last book, Kissing Jenna. This is her story and it’s adorable, sexy, and fun.
Ten years ago Brody ran away from the town of Cunningham Falls and everyone in it including his best friend Brooke. They haven’t seen each other since graduation and now he was back to evict the building her business is in. The business she has built. The business that means a lot to the town. A business she will fight for. He might have run away last time but she won’t let him again. Not until he sees what she has to offer.
Brody could never say no to Brooke. He will give her the time she wants but that’s it. This isn’t personal. It’s business. Can he keep it separate when it comes to the girl turned woman who he has always cared about?
Aw! I loved this book. It’s a fast read filled with heart, sexiness, swoon, and laughs. There is a lot of story within. And I loved getting a glimpse into the lives of the characters of the town. If you haven’t read Proby then do it now. This is just a taste of what she has to offer.
Quotes:
“I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings.”
“You did that long before you left,” I reply and watch as he frowns and looks down at the counter.
“I wear suits,” Brody says, rather defensively.
“You do?”
“Every damn day.”
“Hmm.” I glance his way and then back to the road. “I don’t buy it. Prove it.”
“Tell me you don’t have a girlfriend.”
“Why?”
“Because if you do, the thoughts running through my head will surely put me straight into hell.”
Received an ARC on Tempting Brooke for an honest review.
This book is a The Big Sky novella and takes place in Cunningham Falls, MT.
Small town florist, Brooke Henderson, has lived her entire life in Cunningham Falls, MT. Her time as a child with her best friend Brody and sister Maisey hold fond memories, until one day Brody isn’t there any longer and Brooke is questioning what she did wrong.
Brody, left Cunningham Falls to escape. Big time engineer with secret past of his own, now living in San Francisco, returns to Montana to finalize some personal matters that happen to involve Brooke. He ran from the past years ago, but now with Brooke’s help he has to work through what he tried to forget and leave behind.
I absolutely loved this book and these two amazing characters. There are many layers to Brody that make him so enduring to the reader. Well, he’s a handsome, confident and a successful business man that has never forgotten Brooke over the years. While Brooke is that sassy, determined and stubborn girl that has has a crush on Brody since the two we friends in high school. It’s a explosion of chemistry from page one and it makes turning the page of this book so exciting and hard to put down. Author Kristen Proby did not disappoint with this extension to The Big Sky Series and I can not wait for the next book to come.
Brooke may seem like an easygoing sweetheart, but she’s no pushover. She knows how to get what she wants. When the business she loves is threatened is when the gloves come off and the battle begins. Brody is the enemy. He wants to take away the one thing that makes her happy and brings joy to the people of her community. So why can’t she keep her eye on the prize and her heart out of the equation? A battle is brewing and the outcome is not to be missed. Kristen Proby steams up the bookshelf with her stories of fierce women and irresistible men. Tempting Brooke is another firecracker that leaves it’s mark on the heart.
So sweet.
I ‘ve been looking forward to more of Brooke and if this series. It’s becoming one of my favourites from this author. All the characters are so good. It’s hard to pick my favourite out of all of them. Every book and character just seems to get better.
Brody and Brookes story is so sweet. Even though there was a few hard awkward moments they would all think back to when they were younger and were so close. That time mite not of been great for Brody but Brooke made it better for him. Now things are a lot different they have grown up but the attraction is even stronger. But they have moved on with there lives and they don’t even live in the same state. But Brooke has a plan to make Brody see what he is missing.
I really enjoy this author her books are just so good. I really enjoyed the story i did want a lil bit more but I m alway like that with shorter book. I read this book in no time once I started I couldn’t put it down. I would highly recommend it.

Again Kristen Proby has delivered us another sweet and sexy romance. I absolutely love her writing and I fall in love with her stories and characters every time I pick up a new book by her. The only thing with Tempting Brooke, was I wished it was longer. I want more of Brooke and Brody!!!
Tempting Brooke is a novella that is based in her Big Sky Series. This is a story that can be read in a couple of hours. But even though it is a shorter story, it was lacking for nothing. This is told in Dual POV and is a standalone story. This is a friends to lovers story. I will let you know this, it is an insta love type story. It kind of has to be being a novella, but it worked for Brooke and Brody. You’ll see why when you read the book.
In this story we follow Brooke and Brody. Brooke is an upcoming florist in Cunningham Falls. Finally making a name for herself and making plans with her sister Maisey. So color her surprised when she gets a letter saying she needs to vacate the premises in 30 days. The new owner of the building she rents from is selling the property. Brooke is devastated and afraid of what that will do to her business. So when the new owner comes to town to talk in person, she is determined to convince him not to sell. Brody is a past resident of Cunningham Falls and has become the owner of a building back there. Being brought up in a bad home, he is determined to get rid of the property ASAP. He has made a life for himself in San Franscisco. Neither Brooke or Brody can plan for what happens when they see each other again after 10 years. Read this story to find out how Brody and Brooke’s story turns out.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has some time to spare and wants a sweet and sexy read about two friends who reconnect after almost a decade apart. If you are a fan of Kristen Proby’s you will want to pick up this gem of a story!!! I will say this, this story made me want to go back and re-read the Big Sky books and all the books based in Cunningham Falls.
4.5 Stars
I have fallen in love with Cunningham Falls, the fictional town where Kristen Proby’s Big Sky series takes place!
Brooke is the owner of Brooke’s Blooms, a flower shop. She and Brody were close friends when they were young, but family issues had Brody ending that friendship and hitting the road from Cunningham Falls as soon as he could. But he inherits the building housing Brooke’s Blooms and insists that she vacate in the next sixty days. She is determined to help Brody see the good that her business does, and allow him to fall in love with the town again.
I love revisiting this town, and catching up with the characters. I also love that some of the characters from the author’s crossover are introduced to us.
As usual, the writing was done very well. Novellas are tough for me because so often it is difficult develop the characters and to feel their connection. Kristen Proby manages that well. I’m so looking forward to more in the Big Sky series!
A sweet and tempting love.
Brody and Brooke have known each other since they were kids and really close friends. But since then, Brody has a secret that not even Brooke knows and that makes him leave all behind, including her.
After so many years, he is back in town and that threatens Brooke’s business. But after a proposition she makes, he is tempted to cave, and they are both tempted to finally their feelings speak louder, which is long overdue.
They are sweet together and we meet again that love we are sure to find from this author!
4.5 Stars for book 2.5 in the Big Sky Series with this novella being written for part of the 1001 Dark Nights group of books.
Brooke Henderson owns and runs Brookes Blooms in Cunningham Falls she is looking to expand with her best friend taking on the lease of the empty shop next to hers when she gets a letter saying her lease is going to be terminated and she needs to move out as the new owner is selling the building.
Brody Chabot is the new owner and the last place he wants to own anything is in Cunningham Falls. Brooke and Brody grew up together they were friends or so she thought but that was before he left town without even a goodbye well now he’s back and she needs to convince him not to sell. Maybe a week working along side her may do the trick if she can only prove how much the town needs Brookes Blooms…….
A short sweet read about one of my favourite fictional towns and it was great catching up with the towns inhabitants old and new. The characters are adorable and it was great to see the chemistry sizzle and ignite as Brody and Brooke got reacquainted. Kristen Proby has a way with words she paints amazing pictures as she describes the towns her stories are based in and she makes you feel like you are catching up with old friends, can’t wait to see where we go next with the Big Sky series.
Great novella about Brooke & Brody, best of friends till one day they weren’t and she never had a reason why. As he becomes her landlord of her flower shop and wants her out, her & her sister fight to stay, asking him to stay for a week and see what she does for the town of Cunningham Falls!
Read along and watch the chemistry between these two sizzle off the roof!
I loved this story, Kristen is an amazing author! 5 stars grab this asap!
