He’s my best friend’s older brother, off limits and incredibly tempting.I shouldn’t peek into Brendon’s sketchbook, even if the tattoo artist is as brooding and stoic as the day is long. I can’t help myself. I peel it open, run my fingers along the paper, soak up every ounce of him.His drawings are as beautiful and bold as his dark eyes and his cocky smile. Only, there, on the third page–that’s … the third page–that’s no tattoo mockup. That’s me.
Naked.
Ready.
Waiting in his bed.
There’s no denying it–those are my blue glasses, my green eyes, my flushed cheeks.
Brendon wants me.
The smoking hot, ten thousand miles out of my league bad boy wants me– a good girl vrgin with thick glasses and no game.
It’s perfect.
Only it’s not.
He’s my best friend’s older brother. He’s off limits.
But damn is he tempting.

Loved this story. It was real and i loved Brenden and Kaylee.
I really enjoyed this expanded story. I’d read it as a short story in an anthology & hoped Crystal would extend it as it was so good, it definitely worked!!
Kaylee has been crushing on/in love with Brendan, A Tattoo Artist, Father figure & Brother to her best friend. She holds no hope that her feelings are shared by him until she finds his sketch book!!
Now this book could across as creepy as he’s older, in a semi position of authority, her bffs big brother etc etc but it doesn’t at all!! It’s all handles so very well by the Author that its just hot Kaylee suffers from a mental health issue that she has hidden from everyone, she continues to fear the future with it in her life forever. This subject matter was handled outstandingly well throughout the book, I can only praise it for that & it would hopefully encourage people suffering in silence to talk to someone!!
A wonderful, hot & thoughtful read. It gripped me from the first page. Highly recommended.

Over the past year I’ve come to love reading book by Crystal Kaswell. She really writes characters that pull you in and make you want to know more about their story. Brendon and Kaylee were no different. Kaylee is best friend’s with Brendon’s younger sister Emma. Kaylee grew up with a big crush on him, but she lost that crush for awhile last year when she had to deal with personal issues. Brendon started really noticing Kay months before her 18th birthday, but he refused to let anything come of his desires. One of the few things that bothers me when it comes to the two character’s desiring each other is when they refuse to accept those feelings and instead try to get together with someone else. Brendon tried to do that and I ALMOST got irritated with him, almost. Luckily he redeemed fast and realized the mistake he was making. These two were meant for each other and I loved watching their love blossom and grow. It was nice getting a little bit of Joel thrown into this book and seeing how all these character’s can tie together in some way. I hope that we can see more from this group of friends!
