I love all of Erin Bedford’s books, and this one was just as amazing! I always end up staying up til the middle of the night to finish her books because I never want to out them down. LOL If you haven’t read her yet, you definitely need to give her a try! Start with one of her series beginners and you won’t be disappointed!
This story just keeps getting better. There is so much action and adventure in this book. We still have some laughs along the way, which I really enjoy. Mary just doesn’t seem to be getting a break but keeps on fighting. I can’t wait to read more.
Mary needs to find her way to Hell, to help Sid and retrieve Michael’s blade. This book is non stop action. I love this series and what happens to an angel is stuck on earth. An amazing page turner!

A fantastic conclusion to the Mary Wiles Chronicles. I love the development of Mary’s character throughout the books. Another intense, action packed book where Mary is fighting to get her lover back. I loved this series so much. I am looking forward to reading more of Erin Bedford’s books, I’m a fan!
Tempted By Hell is book four in The Mary Wiles Chronicles series and boy did I get a surprise when I got to the end of the book and there was a cliffhanger. I don’t know why I thought this was the final book in the series. So, now I anxiously await the next book in this series to find out what happens next for Mary. The writing is great and the story is packed with interesting characters, humor, action and so much more.
Yikes this is the most intense of the books in the series Mary is on the war path however this time around things might not work out for her or for Sid and those wings might be a distant memory. I was definitely chewing m nails with this book unsure of what will happen next and if Mary or Sid will get out of hell so be ready for action, danger, unexpected help, love and some good twists and surprises. So buckle up and get comfy as this is one heck of a ride and yeah be warned the next book isn’t out until September 2021 but at least we know when it is coming out now and I can’t wait to binge read these again so the story is fresh in my head for book 5!!

Action-packed
Mary is acclimating to be on earth – she curses, has a boyfriend, drives, eats Chinese food. But this latest step takes her even further from the angelic realm. I’m enjoying how Mary’s character is evolving, and how the stories get more intricate and a little darker. I just wish I didn’t have to wait so long for the next instalment!
I don’t know why I thought this would be the conclusion and I was a little frustrated when I realized it wasn’t. The author has a way of sucking you in though that I still want more after that ending. So much is going on here that I was afraid to blink so I wouldn’t miss anything. Get ready for another crazy ride!
Another fun chapter in the life of Mary. It was fun and entertaining to see what Mary was up to and to see what she will face this time. And if things will go as planned. Sid is in danger so Mary and friends must safe him. Which of course leads to an interesting read. Just a blast to read and makes a good story in this series. Full of action too.
The fourth book in the series continues with more action and intrigue as well as the humor throughout. She builds the story and pulls you in as she takes Mary on her journey in finding her wings and now trying to bring Sid back to earth. Another great episode!!

Aaaah! This is so frustrating! For some reason I was convinced that this was the last book in the series and that all storylines would be wrapped up in this book. When I only had 20 more pages left to read an about a million storylines left I started to realize that my expectations had been wrong. I’m invested now! I’ve been reading a book a week for this series. Am I now supposed to wait like normal people for the next book? Damn it!
However, this might be my favorite book of the series so far! A lot was happening. Mary was involved in a nice case, even though she of course was way more busy with getting Sid back from Hell. Interesting things were happening at the police office and I’m sure this will be a game changer. And of course there is that race against time. Mary knows that Sid is far from okay in hell and she wants to get him out there as soon as possible and real life is distracting her from it.
In this book we also get to see a lot more of the world. So far we had heard about Hell, but we hadn’t actually seen it. In this book we actually travel to Hell and get a sense of what it’s like to be there and how Hell came to be. I love how Bedford never truly info-dumps. We get crumbs and bits of the mythology and slowly we can piece together the complete picture ourselves. The more I see of this world, the more curious I become to see all the parts I haven’t seen yet.
And with each book I also grow more and more in love with Mary. I love how she slowly morphs from innocent and cute angel to a fierce and determined human. I love it even more how she struggles herself with who she is and who she wants to be. I might have an idea where her story arc might end, but I would love for Bedford to surprise me. And I think my new favorite character is also in this book. I can’t wait to see more of him in the next book!
Mary is desperately trying to get to hell. Sid is being held hostage by his father in hell. Mary is developing some bad human attributes. Riley is on a mission to put Mary in prison. Thompson needs help. Mary needs to locate a missing man. She’s hunting demons. Her plate is overwhelmingly full. Does she free Sid? Does she help Thompson? What happens next? Can not wait to read.

I’ve loved everything Erin Bedford has put out, and that’s certainly the case with her The Mary Wiles Chronicles, the fourth book of which is Tempted By Hell. Mary is s wonderfully unique character. She may be an archangel but she’s wingless and pretty much falling for a half demon named Sid. This fourth installment deals with what happens when Sid is captured and trapped in Hell. Once again we get the perfect mix of action, adventure and wit that will likely end up making you snort trying to hold in the laughter in some inappropriate place or time (in my case the middle of the night resulting in my waking my sweetie). Pretty great story, character, world-building, and cast of characters. Truly great stuff. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
Book 4 in the Mary Wiles Chronicles is just as incredible as the first 3 books. Mary and Sid are fantastic characters and I can’t get enough of them. The humorous, sexy, exciting story line kept me glued to the pages from beginning to end. This is a real winner for anyone who loves urban fantasy.
Mary managed to get out of the battle of deceptions with her angelic powers depleted and her boyfriend taken by his father to hell. Now she’s determined to bring him, the knife of Michael and her wings back from the dreadful place, only problem is fiding out how to get there. Enters Adara as the head of the Phoenix Guild, a powerful Seer and a demon who is not happy with the contract he accepted to get to earth. Oh and she has to do all that while catering to a high maintenance supermom looking for her missing kid, after all hell doesn’t keep the lights on.
