Thirty years of marriage to the same man. An illicit proposition by an attractive stranger. Which would you choose if you were tempted?Taking care of her husband’s every need while putting her own aside, Jane Sims’ life seems picture-perfect. There’s just one problem. She’s desperately unhappy.A chance encounter with a total stranger changes how Jane looks at her marriage, her life, and … marriage, her life, and herself. At first, flattered when the charismatic man flirts with her, she quickly dismisses him. When they run into each again, a casual conversation over coffee leads her to fantasize about more than talking. Convinced her husband no longer finds her attractive she considers accepting the man’s proposal of a liaison, oblivious to the fact that her choice will affect not only her life but the lives of those around her.
As the temptation to take a lover grows, her world spirals down around her, threatening to obliterate relationships that have taken years to develop. Is a moment or two of passion worth ruining the life she’s worked so hard to create?

Tempted is outside of the normal genre that I read but I enjoyed it. It was well-written, steamy and had a great message of redemption and healing. At some points I wanted to scream at the main characters but was happy with the conclusion of the story and seeing how the MC grew as a result of her bad choices. I look forward to reading more by Kristine Raymond.
This book really had my emotions all over the place, feeling sad and disillusioned for Jane as her life starts to spiral out of control and annoyed with Rodger and his continued dismissive attitude towards Jane. I could totally understand her loneliness. I really enjoyed this story and the twists that came with all the heartbreak.
An unexpected twist!!
I loved this book, but what a mixed bag of emotions I experienced reading it.
My feelings towards Jane changed from page to page and at times I had to take a break to gather my thoughts, but I couldn’t help thinking she had done all she could, while my frustrations towards Roger grew.
I had so many questions about marriage and relationships reading this book. While attempting not to be judgemental, I tried to see things from both points of view, realising we never really know what goes on behind closed doors.
I thought I knew how the Epilougue would go……boy was I wrong!!! A brilliant twist to a very thought provoking story. Highly recommended?
We often read stories about men and their mid-life crisis, but seldom about women. Tempted is a well written story about a woman discovering her life is not how she thought it would be. Her children are grown with families of their own and no time for her. Her husband seems only interested in his job and how much time he is devoting to it. Left alone and needing something to bolster her self esteem, she’s an easy prey for a devilishly good looking man who can get her panties wet with a look. But all is not what is seems.
Kristin Raymond brings a books that will heat you up, then make you think about what is truly going on in Jane’s life. Not a traditional HEA but a satisfying end to what real life is. Loved it.
Tempted…does she take a bite of the forbidden apple? This book is about a tough subject matter, cheating. I don’t usually read books that include it as I have fairly strong views. However, while I can’t agree with the concept I found the author managed to portray the circumstances in a way where at times I felt sympathetic towards Jane. Possibly due to being married for 35 yrs myself, I have gone from a wife and mother to an empty nester. Your priorities change and it can be a lonely and unfulfilling time. The consequences and loss of self respect from cheating are too high to risk.
Tempted is the first book I have read by Ms. Raymond. I found it to be a quick read, as I finished in a day.
I found all the characters to be relatable. Jane, the housewife, is being ignored physically, mentally and sexually by her husband. She is trying her best to spice up the marriage. Does she succeed or does she get tempted?
Roger, the husband, is busy working all the time and shows no love or affection to Jane anymore. He is really working all those late hours or he is being tempted?
And of course, Derek, the man with temptation written all over him!
One of things I enjoyed most about this book was that the characters are in their 40’s. This was a nice and refreshing change of pace to the “younger” characters that I have read lately. I do have to admit, that I didn’t see that ending coming! One click today to found out how this little story plays out.
