Tempt Me is the first book of the steamy new Dare to Dream series from author Amanda Bailey. The temptation of one night of letting go will change the course of their lives—they just don’t know it yet. It’s New Year’s Eve and Alex Kingsley’s thirtieth birthday. When a cute guy at the bar waves her over, she makes a snap decision to shut down her fears and just follow her heart. But later, when her … heart. But later, when her brain kicks back in, she panics and runs.
Josh Ryder is captivated by the petite brunette in the black dress. Sparks fly and he’s left instantly wanting more than just one night with his personal fairy-tale princess. When she slips from his grasp, he’s left pining for what could have been.
One uninhibited moment.
Two strangers.
A lifetime of what-ifs, or a happily ever after?

This book was amazing! Josh is just a dreamboat and Alex is so sweet and likeable. They are a perfect match.
Josh is one of the Co Owners of Brookhaven Brothers Wellness Center. He is the physical therapist. There’s Ethan the business side, Dylan and Caleb the Personal Trainers, Violet is the part time receptionist, Addison is Ethan’s sister and she works the desk part time.
After a one night stand they can’t stop thinking about each other. A few weeks later we find out that they hired Alex to do the tech for their business. Alex has got a stalker/assulter trailing her and Josh has got some dad baggage. They eventually find their way to each other. It’s so beautiful.
I highly recommend!
Right off the bat, I love how Amanda intertwines her characters from previous books into her current books. It is my favorite thing about her writing. I get sad when a book is over, but Amanda brings back old characters so you get a sense of an update of how their life is going now. And again, she does this within this book by having Josh be Noah’s brother. Noah’s book is, “Make You Mine” in the “Change of Heart” series, it is a must read.
Now Josh, I wasn’t sure what he was going to be like. He seems like he wants to have the life of a stable guy but also loves the chase. He is smart and good with his hands, ok I’m not trying to be silly, he is a licensed physical therapist, so of course he would be good with his hands. And everyone deserves a guy like Josh in their life. He is kind, passionate and romantic.
Now the chemistry between Alex and Josh is outstanding and hot, hot hot! From the moment they met, they hit it off. But Alex gets scared when they have one passionate time together. She needs control, and for a brief moment she lost it. It freaked her out, so she ran away.
Fast forward Alex goes to work a new job and guess who she is working for…yup, Josh. Wahoo, this makes for a great twist and exciting moment in the book. This book was so exciting, as I wasn’t sure where it was going to go because Alex seemed to want nothing to do with Josh at first. Amanda Bailey never seems to let me down. Her writing is entertaining, grabs your attention from the first page and is so detailed that it paints the best picture in your head of the story. This book is another amazing one from Amanda and an absolute must read.
A lot of little twists and turns in this book. Fun to read and hard to put down.
This is the first book of her second series dare to dream. And her books make me so comfortable, because I feel like I know each person from the book before and for me that’s what keeps me coming back
Wonderfully fantastic… The book was amazing… It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it… The characters and their personalities match them perfectly… The plot and the storyline was very descriptive and amazing…
“I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.”
After reading Amanda’s first series (change of heart), I was excited to read more. I am glad that characters from the other series carried over into this book. It was an easy, quick read to escape the real world for a while. Her books are a great start for someone new to romance novels. I myself and new to romance novels with more erotic scenes. That said, as much as I enjoy the scenes in this book, the heat and naughtiness could be turned up a bit more. (Fine for someone who isn’t used to reading about sex though).Since it’s first person, sometimes the thoughts of the characters about other issues pull you out of the dirty scene a bit. Still 5 star to me though and I am jumping right into book 2 now
