From an award-winning author with more than one million books sold, a new series of four heartwarming historical romances about unexpected brides.Temporary Bride: Lena Stevens has lived through more than her share of troubles. After losing her mother and father when she was young, Lena learned that every kindness came with obligation. Now a widow with a small child, Lena has lost the one thing … has lost the one thing she had left: her house. She has no desire to be a burden on her neighbor, even if the man was foolish enough to promise her late husband to watch out for her. But when propriety demands a marriage, Lena makes Anker vow to annul it come spring.
Anker has longed for a wife–but not like this. A forced marriage. A pretend marriage. He will do what he must to protect Lena and Charlie throughout the winter. But as days stretch into months, his admiration for the spirited young woman begins to turn to something else. Something more…
Anker and Lena both had their reasons for wanting a temporary marriage. But when spring arrives, will they regret their vow to end the union?

This is a wonderful Christ-filles book. It was hard to put down. I highly recommend it.
Nice story. Can relate to the characters struggle with breaking old thought patterns. Several typos that drive me a little crazy.
both characters overcome their losses to survive in very hard time in history
A clean, realistic, read, well with your time. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Slow going at first but then keeps your interest.
I couldn’t put the book down. It was very good and definitely held my interest
a wonderful story, loved it. Couldnt n wait for the ending.
good read
In general I enjoyed Temporary Bride and appreciated the biblical message of godly servant leadership on the part of the husband. The wife had some maturing to do. Circumstances force them to marry suddenly and the h insists that they keep the relationship chaste. Over the course of a harsh winter they learn to love and appreciate each other.
I like the title. It makes you wonder what is next. This book does not disappoint. I liked that it is a christian romance. I liked the places where trust is to be applied. I liked that the book pointed out that GOD’s love is full & free. Nothing we can do to repay. And our love for other’s should be built on the same premise.
Enjoyed the story very much and the awakening of Lena’s belief in God’s love, blessings in her, her son’s life.
enjoyed reading, would recommend
H is really patient and a truly nice guy. The bride learns to respect and see him for who he is. I enjoyed it.
Lena and Anker agree to a marriage of convenience and get an unexpected surprise. There are some funny moments as they learn about each other.
I like Christian story books that are funny real I make you wish the world was the same way now.
Very sweet, great characters, believable.
Had me wondering from the beginning….and realizing the harshness for certain people; then realizing that the world does the same things to people at times. Liked the good ending though!
Thank you for this delightful story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and getting to know the characters. The Scripture used throughout was beneficial to the narrative and inspirational and instructive for the reader.
I look forward to reading more of your books!!!
You knew at the beginning they would fall in love but how they got to that point is the fascinating part!!!
Good story. Too short.
