From an award-winning author with more than one million books sold, a new series of four heartwarming historical romances about unexpected brides.Temporary Bride: Lena Stevens has lived through more than her share of troubles. After losing her mother and father when she was young, Lena learned that every kindness came with obligation. Now a widow with a small child, Lena has lost the one thing … has lost the one thing she had left: her house. She has no desire to be a burden on her neighbor, even if the man was foolish enough to promise her late husband to watch out for her. But when propriety demands a marriage, Lena makes Anker vow to annul it come spring.
Anker has longed for a wife–but not like this. A forced marriage. A pretend marriage. He will do what he must to protect Lena and Charlie throughout the winter. But as days stretch into months, his admiration for the spirited young woman begins to turn to something else. Something more…
Anker and Lena both had their reasons for wanting a temporary marriage. But when spring arrives, will they regret their vow to end the union?

This is one of the best sweet romances I’ve read in a long time. I stayed up way past my bedtime to finish it. I enjoyed the way the story mingled trust and love, and how the author built the romance while building Lena’s faith. I’ll certainly be following her on Amazon and adding her other books to my to-read list.
The author keep it interesting. I was always waiting to see what excuse Lena was going to come up with next.
i enjoyed this book so much, could hardly put it down. Linda Ford is a wonderful writer and will be looking forward to more of her books!
A sweet story about a Norwegian immigrant and a needy, but stubborn, widow. It is fun to see how their relationship slowly develops.
Have a box of tissues handy.
Sweet story, well written, easy to read.
It has a good story.
I liked it
The book is a romantic story about two people who are tied together by another. It tells how one character overcomes her childhood treatment through the love of a God and the love of a godly man. Good story plot!
Endearing story that reflects Gods love and sacrifice for each of us just for who we are.
Easy to read. Predictable plot but enjoyed reading it.
Temporary Bride is a fast and absolutely predictable read. There are no surprises, no intrigue to be found between the pages of this book . I suppose it might be suitable for teen readers.
Easy read and a good love story on the hardships of people during the settlers time. I loved it and bought another book. Will definitely read more
A very good book!
This book is fantastic
Sweet story
Loved the characters, though Lena could be exasperating. Her childhood had been very difficult and she’d experienced many tragedies in life, so it was hard for her to receive love. Great storyline.
Love this author’s books!!
When I saw the title, I thought the book would be another little predictable romance. Then I saw that it took place in 1885 and it piqued my interest. Once I began reading it, I didn’t want to stop! Two emotionally wounded characters struggle to find love and acceptance. Your loss if you pass this one up!
While you knew what the ending would be as soon as you started to read it, it seemed to end rather abruptly. Characters were well developed.
