Another great installment in the Koven Chronicles! This time Lizzie must travel abroad and put her trust in someone she just meets. But is it safe? She must face some daunting tasks alone, all while Abel waits alone. How much can Lizzie put herself through to get the help she needs?
I absolutely loved this book, but for the hulking cliffhanger at the end. Now I understand that CLIFFhanger is literally a cliff!!! This story is a fast-paced, world-hopping tour blending ancient and present times requiring ALL of our heroes’ strength. No swearing or sex makes this book perfect for teens and adults alike. Lizzie and Abel draw closer together as the danger levels escalate to near unsurvivable proportions. We learn more of the amulet and it’s powers.
Temple of Flames does not disappoint. From the first paragraph on, you fly through the book. Sent on a crazy quest half way around the world in order to fix the amulet, Lizzie fights the Hounds of Tindalos, ghosts and other monsters. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to see what happens next. *I received a free eBook copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Wait. What?!
Temple of Flames starts off with a bang and never slows down. Lizzie tries to catch her breath through it al but barely has time to do so. Luckily she has Able to help and support her through most of it, but falls asleep several times when he overextends his use of powers. They fly across states and countries several times in order to complete her quest to fix her shade amulet. I was totally exhausted just reading about all the traveling and battling she had to do. It kept me turning the pages anxious to find what was around the corner for her and Able. Then I came to the end and couldn’t believe it! It just stopped! Wait. What?! I need to know what happens next! You mean to tell me that was really the end? How much longer am I going to have to wait for the next book? Hurry up Ms. Pearson and finish this! Otherwise I’ll go nuts!
ANDREA JUST KEEPS BRINGING IT!!!

With unpredictable surprises around every corner and twists and turns that keep you on your toes. Scenes so realistic you feel you can reach out and touch them. Great characters with personalities you grow to love as you get you get to know them. Awesome details that add flavor to the tale. Andrea has done an absolutely amazing job bringing this read to life.
I just finished The Temple of Flames by Andrea Pearson and I heartily recommend it to readers who are looking for a action-packed adrenaline high.
Lizzie again transverses the globe to try and get her shade amulet to work and then embarks on a quest to save herself and those she loves from a crazed demon. Be warned, however, that this book ends in a cliffhanger and readers will have to continue the series to see how the story plays out.
Andrea weaves a very good story with twists and turns that surprises the reader. Who indeed can you trust is re-examined in this story.
