New York Times bestselling author Chantal Fernando returns to the Knights of Fury series with her most complicated hero yet. He may be the epitome of cool, but this MC President isn’t called Temper for nothing… Every year, the hot, tatted biker comes into Abbie’s bar, orders whiskey, and asks her out. Every year, Abbie turns him down. After all, dating a man that goes by Temper seems like a … Every year, Abbie turns him down. After all, dating a man that goes by Temper seems like a really bad idea, no matter how attracted she is to him.
But this year is different. Abbie’s different. Older, wiser, and tired of being stuck behind the bar in a sleepy town. This year, she’s ready for whatever adventure the sexy but sweet biker has in store for her.
Or so she thinks…until an elegant candlelit dinner ends with a dead body.
Now, Abbie finds herself on the ride of her life, whisked away to the big city in Temper’s protective custody. She should be scared but—despite his nickname—it’s clear the last thing Temper would ever do is hurt a hair on her head. And when danger catches up with them, Abbie soon realizes that holding tight to her man while straddling a Harley may be the safest place of all.

If you like a fast-paced, MC age-gap romance, this would be a good choice for you! I didn’t realize (what else is new) that I’d picked up the third in a series, but you can absolutely be read as a standalone.
Temper (Tommy) and Abbie are a great match, and their path to getting together is pretty sweet and hard won. I did want Abbie to be a *little* less forgiving with some of the situations, but overall this story worked, worked well and was an entertaining ride!
LOVED! I am such a huge fan of Chantal Fernando! Temper and Abbie’s story was AMAZING! The meet-cute was unique and perfect! I love the age-gap in this book too! From beginning to end this book embodies EVERYTHING I love about Ms. Fernando! It still amazes me that she can write so many MC stories and make every single one so different! I cannot wait for more from the Knights of Fury and Chantal Fernando! FIVE HUGE STARS!!
I have enjoyed my ride with the Knights of Fury so far and Temper was no exception! Temper definitely does have that, a temper however he is also as sweet as they come. For a tough MC president who has to be on his game he sure has a romantic side. Temper finds himself over the moon for a younger Abbie. Abbie has put her life on hold for everyone around her and finally gets the adventure she desires when she joins up with the Knights of Fury motorcycle club. Great addition to this series!
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This is my first Chantal Fernando book and I honestly don’t know if I will read any of her other work after finishing this one. The beginning of the book was super sweet and drew me in, and then shortly lost me. I lost my connection with the main character, and since this was a single POV book, I couldn’t even attempt at making a connection with Temper, which is the name of the book. Once I realized it was single POV, I felt like I was missing half of the story. I am not a huge fan of single point of views as is, so this just fell flat for me.
I have loved plenty of MC books in the past, but this one just didn’t hit the mark for me at all. I know it’s the third book in the series, but I highly doubt I will be going back to read the first two in the series. I just didn’t connect with the book, the characters, the storyline or any of it. I felt like it was rushed and there were parts that just didn’t make any sense to me.
I did finish because I don’t like not finishing books, but I won’t be going in and finding any more of this author’s work.
Three stars.
Oh my, my, my. Temper is one delicious read. Sexy, romantic, action packed and full of gritty MC magnificence with jaw dropping twists and turns! I was hooked from the swoony beginning all the way to the end with this book. Chantal Fernando has outdone herself with this book.
Temper is exactly what you’re fantasizing about when you think of hot MC president and then some. The man he is when it comes to Abbie will ten thousand percent melt your heart, while the bad@#$ he is when running his club will have you drooling. All in all this is a man that will have you panting for more. He. Was. Everything.
I really liked Temper and Abbie, they had an insane start but there was definitely a strong chemistry between the 2 of them.
I really liked how Abbie really brought a sense of calm to Temper and he did the opposite to her life but in a good way. They evened each other out and were adorable in a bada** kind of way.
I’m excited to see who’s story we will get next out of the Knights.
I received a copy of this book from Carina Press through NetGalley. all thoughts and opinions are my own
So far, the Knights of Fury MC series has been everything I look for in a MC romance. They are gritty, dangerous, exciting, and steamy. And Temper and Abbie’s story is a slow burn that fits right in with the rest of the MC! It starts off kinda slow (for the first few pages!), but quickly blows up, catching my attention, and not letting it go until the very end!
Abbie is a small town girl, who believes strongly in family, loyalty, and love. She gave up her dreams of college and career, to come home and help her mother save the family business following a debilitating illness. Her loyalty is put to the test when year after year, a hot biker asks her out, but she always turns him down, knowing it won’t be able to go any where. Until she says yes……
Temper is a hot biker, who knows what he wants, and has the patience to wait for it, because he knows it will be worth it. (He’s persistent, I have to admit!) Just when it finally looks like everything is going his way, things go sideways. He makes split second decisions, and knows they will probably destroy his chance at happiness with the girl of his dreams.
Abbie and Temper are perfect for each other, despite everything that is standing in their way. I had my doubts that they’d be able to get past it all, that they’d work their way through everything, but I really should have known! With these guys, they always manage to find true love and happiness in the end!
“Sometimes, home is a person instead of a place.”
This is book three in The Knights of Fury Series and my favorite read so far! I’ve been waiting for Temper’s book & Chantal Fernando did not disappoint Temper has asked Abbie out once a year for the past five years but she’s turned him down. But this year she decides to live her life & say yes… and after a perfect evening (Insert all the heart eyes here) the series of events that occurs… are just wow! All the action, friendships, family, family drama, secrets & all the MC goodness. SO GOODHonestly, I could NOT put this book down && I cannot wait to see where we go next with the Knights

This is the 3rd book in this series and is Temper and Abbie’s story. Temper is the president of his MC and every time he goes through Abbie’s small town he goes to her bar and askes her out, and the answer is always no, but this time it is a different answer. However, their date does not go to plan at all. This is a good story which is fun and steamy, with a tad danger, and I was intrigued throughout. I recommend for all MC lovers.
This is the third book in this series and although it can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading the previous books to get to know all the characters and how they all fit together.
I loved Abbie and Temper both seperately and as a couple. Abbie has a quirky personality, she’s funny and sassy but not completely comfortable in her own skin. Temper is an alpha to his core, he is the Prez after all. There is an age gap but after it’s first mentioned I forgot about it because they just fit. I liked seeing Abbie assert herself more as the story progressed and her growth felt natural. Temper maybe the tough guy but he has a heart of gold which comes across in the way her treats Abbie. I enjoyed the light and shade of the story although it is not as dark as some MC books there is some drama but ther banter between ther characters also make this a fun read.
Temper is book three in the Knights of Fury series by Chantal Fernando. This is my very first book by Chantal. This is a MC, age gap romance. It can easily be read as a stand alone even though it’s part of a series. I have not read any of the previous books and had no difficulty at all. I first noticed the cover of this book which made me take a second look. But what really drew me in was the blurb. I was definitely intrigued and am so glad I decided to take a chance on this.
Abigail (Abbie) Redmond is twenty eight years old, lives with her mom and younger sister, and works at their family owned bar, Franks. Abbie had to drop out of college and put her own dreams on hold due to her mother’s health issues.
Abbie first met the swoony biker five years ago the first time he came into her bar. Over the years, he shows up a couple of times a year, stays for a drink, and always asks her out. She always says no. It’s obvious he’s older than her but more than that, going out with a biker is definitely not a good idea. That’s what her mother keeps telling her anyway. But this time when he comes in, she wants to say yes. She’s tired of being cautious. She’s attracted to him and he to her. It’s one night, one date. What could go wrong?!
Temper is forty two years old and is president of the Knights of Fury MC just outside of Los Angeles. He’s been trying to convince Abbie to go out with him for five years. Tonight is finally his big chance. So he plans the perfect date. Only things don’t quite end the way he might have hoped. They end with Abbie thrown into the back seat of the car and racing back to LA to his home.
“Being fearful of life is only barely living, and sometimes the gamble is worth it.”
The reason for going to LA might have been unpleasant, but once she’s there, away from her stifling, overbearing mom, Abbie starts to gain confidence. She was like a bird spreading her wings and learning to fly. That spark that had been between she and Temper from the first time they met, grew into so much more. Temper, the feared president of a MC club was a caring, sweet, attentive man to her. He was everything she could have wanted.
“Taking a chance on Temper is the best thing I ever did.”
Not only does their feelings grow for each other, Abbie feels like she fits in here, she makes friends, she feels needed, she feels stronger. But Abbie and Temper and the rest of the club are in for a few surprises. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with all the little twists and turns this took. I might have even “gasped” a time or two!
This was such an enjoyable read. I do enjoy MC romance but haven’t read all that many. Some of the ones I have read, though, are dark. This wasn’t. I loved seeing Temper’s soft side, and Abbie was the perfect match for him. This was sweet, sexy, and a bit suspenseful. I’m so glad I decided to read this.
Every President needs a First Lady and Temper knows that Abbie is the one worth waiting for. As these two finally have their chance, drama, chaos and mayhem get thrown in the mix and Abbie might just have bitten off too much excitement with just one date. As kidnapping, secrets and discoveries all become part of Abbie’s new life can Temper show her that becoming his old lady might be just the happiness she has always been searching for. Their story is overflowing with action, passion, love and self discovery. Temper will have you captivated as the President of the Knights of Fury MC shows us just how much heart and devotion he has when it comes to one bartender from a small town whose eyes and smile light up his world.
As far as MC romance goes, this is probably the tamest one I’ve ever read, which completely caught me off-guard. Temper was my first read by Chantal and it turned out to be an OK read for me.
I really liked the backstory behind Abbie and Temper, the fact that he asked her out and got rejected for years. It was definitely a unique to start to their budding relationship.
When it comes to the prez of the Knights of Fury MC, he was not what I expected at all. I oddly found him to be rather adorable, which is not a word I’d associate with a MC romance. So that was very different to read about.
Throughout my read, I often found myself coming out of the story and was beginning to skip around a little bit. And I wasn’t completely sold on Abbie’s character, I wasn’t really connecting with her at all. Before Temper, she had a very routine life and wasn’t one to take any bold actions. I’m definitely all for character growth, but it was a much quicker transition, so it made a bit unbelievable for me.
I haven’t read the first two in the series, but I want to give those a try and see how this one compares. As a romance, it’s not too bad of a read. But if you’re looking for that grit that you see a lot in a MC romance, this isn’t that kind of read.

***4 Stars***
This was a fun read. Which is a little strange to write down considering this is an MC romance, but it really was. I found myself grinning more often than not and being more than happy to get lost in Abbie and Temper’s unique journey to their HEA.
I loved Abbie and Temper. Abbie is all kinds of sweet and sassy, even when she’s feeling all kinds of awkward. I loved watching her truly come into her own and really take charge of what she wanted her future to look like. Temper surprised me, but in a good way. He is all kinds of alpha, he has to be as Prez, but I loved getting to know the heart of the man beneath the title and seeing just how golden his heart was.
Their journey to their HEA was all kinds of fun. It is a strange mix of slow burn/insta, no gonna lie, but it worked for me considering all that was tossed their way in a short amount of time. but I loved their bantering and didn’t play any mind games with each other. The angst was low, which I appreciated considering all that was going on around them, and I really liked how everything worked out for them in the end.
This was a fun read, on the lighter side of the spectrum than the majority of the MC romances I tend to read, but it had enough grit to keep things interesting. And speaking of interesting…talk about holy plot twist Batman! I did NOT see that one coming at all, but it definitely kicked things up a notch. And as for the supporting cast of characters. I loved catching up with Saint and Skyler, I some how missed Renegade’s book, but will be diving in as soon as possible, but loved Renny and Izzy. But the two that peaked my interest the most were Crow and Chains and I’m crossing my toes they get their own HEA’s down the road.

TEMPER by Chantal Fernando is book Three in the Knights of Fury Series. This is the story of Temper and Abbie. I have read (and loved!) the other books in this series, so that did help me enjoy this one better. But I did feel you could make it a standalone book if you wish to do so. Temper is the President of the Knights of Fury MC who is strong, tough and yet caring. So when his crew started stopping in Frank’s a bar in Nevada once or twice a year, the bartender catches his eye. But each time he makes his way to the bar she turns him down. Abbie is the bartender in her family bar and taking over more responsibility each year. Abbie dropped her wish to go to law school to help her mother who had bad health and to help prevent her little sister from not realize her college dream. So after a few years of being asked out by Temper she gives in to her desire. It started out as a prefect date but then danger struck and she had to be protected….all of which Temper insisted on. I really enjoyed this book and this author’s writing. I hope to read more from her soon!
Temper and Abbie have a cute backstory that drew me in immediately. He is a biker passing through town once or twice a year. She is a bartender in her family’s bar. Each time Temper passes through, he asks Abbie out and she says no. Until 5 years go by and she finally says yes. Its adorable! The date is very swoon worthy, but the ending changes Abbie’s life forever.
Abbie is a great heroine. She had to put her dreams of law school on hold after her mom has a stroke. She stepped up, took over the bar, and ensured her younger sister didn’t have to miss out on college. She is a giver, for sure. Temper is the president of the MC and he has great heart that Abbie gets to see over the years. He cried for the last prez, he remembers events in Abbie’s life, and he isn’t a manwhore. Overall, both are great characters.
I felt like Abbie was a little “too” ok with Temper’s actions at times. I mean, he kidnapped her-tied her up and everything. But, aside from that, I enjoyed the story! There is plenty of danger and action to keep the plot moving, and lots of romance between Abbie and Temper!
Temper has been asking Abbie out for years, every time he rolls through her small town. But she always says no. Then one time she finally says yes. And then a date happens. A date that’s going along well until something happens and suddenly he’s taking Abbie. Both for her protection (so he says) and for his MC’s protection.
Will this be Abbie’s chance to finally escape her stifling life, or will it just reinforce all the reasons Abbie had turned Temper down for 5 years?
As MC romances go, this one is fairly even keeled. It’s not too heavy or gritty, and not too light, but it is entertaining and I loved Temper and Abbie together. He may be a big, bad MC prez on the outside, but with Abbie he’s positively a teddy bear. The action is pretty fast paced, and the suspense was pitched at the right intensity and the secondary characters (the MC brothers, Abbie’s sister and her new found father) are all just as interesting as Abbie and Temper. I haven’t read any of the other stories in this series, but after having fallen in love the the men (and women) of the Knights of Fury club, you can bet I will be reading them all now.
This was my first book by Chantal Fernando.
Temper is book 3 in her Knights of Fury MC series but can be read as a standalone. I didn’t read any of the previous books and didn’t feel I needed to read them to enjoy this one. I will be going to go back and read them though.
Temper was so cool. Like, he is a tough MC prez but is tender and gentle and kind when need be. Kind of like a cuddly teddy bear. Dangerous but soft.
I really enjoyed the action and suspense in the story. It kept me turning the pages to find out what happens next.
I enjoyed it and will be recommending to MC lovers.
Waiting Out On Love
Temper was the Prez of the Knights of Fury MC and would pass through Nevada ever so often stopping at Frank’s where the beautiful girl with amazing eyes always waited on him. Every time Temper would ask the beauty out on a date, she would say no. Until the one year he didn’t. That’s when Abbie asks Temper out much to his surprise. Let’s just say that their date didn’t go as planned because she in a gunfight and was then kidnapped by the biker and his men. He had to take her back to their clubhouse in LA for the club’s protection and her’s.
Someone was after the Knights and Abbie as well but who could it be. Someone hired mercenaries to take them out and they had to get to the bottom of this before they were decimated. Oh, there were so many secrets that surrounded them but one thing wasn’t a secret and that was the chemistry between Temper and Abbie.
This book read fast and kept the action and that rollercoaster ride feeling coming from the first page until that last. I highly recommend this book for all you MC lovers out there!!
3.75 stars— TEMPER is the third instalment in Chantal Fernandos contemporary, adult KNIGHTS OF FURY erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Knights of Fury MC. This is forty-two year old, Knights of Fury President Tommy aka Temper, and twenty-eight year old bar waitress Abbie’s story line. TEMPER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from first person perspective (Abbie) TEMPER follows the building relationship between forty-two year old, Knights of Fury President Tommy aka Temper, and twenty eight year old bar waitress Abbie. For close to five years, every time his MC passed through Vegas on their way to California, Temper has returned to Abbie’s bar, in the hopes of convincing our heroine to go out on a date but when Abbie finally agrees to go out with Temper, nothing goes according to plan and Abbie finds herself a temporary prisoner of the Knights of Fury MC. An attack against the MC, and the resulting death of a rogue for hire, finds Abbie under the protection of the Knights of Fury, a protection that is also meant to determine if and when she is able to go home. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Abbie and Temper, and the potential fall-out as a familiar enemy begins to orchestrate a take-down of the Knights of Fury MC.
All of her life Abbie has been warned, by her mother, to stay away from the bikers and their dangerous lifestyles but little did Abbie know that her world was about to spiral out of control when secrets and lies begin to reveal. Temper doesn’t do relationships but something about Abbie calls to Temper’s heart. For five years Temper has bided his time in an effort to convince Abbie that he is a worthy mate but things go from bad to worse as their time together results in a target on Abbie’s back.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including Saint and Skylar, Temper, Trade, Dee, Chains and Crow, as well as the introduction of drug kingpin Grayson Palmer, Abbie’s sister Ivy, their mother, and the return of Skylar’s mother Georgia.
TEMPER is a story of family, friendships, secrets and lies; of betrayal and revenge; of revelations and truth. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is passionate and intense; the characters are numerous, charismatic and seductive . I will add that I wish the story line was told in dual perspectives as we are completely oblivious to the behind the scenes of the Knights of Fury MC-their numerous jobs, meetings and frequent trips to gather intel and meet with other MCs. In this, I felt there could have been so much more potential to the story line and thusly the series as a whole.
