New York Times bestselling author Chantal Fernando returns to the Knights of Fury series with her most complicated hero yet. He may be the epitome of cool, but this MC President isn’t called Temper for nothing… Every year, the hot, tatted biker comes into Abbie’s bar, orders whiskey, and asks her out. Every year, Abbie turns him down. After all, dating a man that goes by Temper seems like a … Every year, Abbie turns him down. After all, dating a man that goes by Temper seems like a really bad idea, no matter how attracted she is to him.
But this year is different. Abbie’s different. Older, wiser, and tired of being stuck behind the bar in a sleepy town. This year, she’s ready for whatever adventure the sexy but sweet biker has in store for her.
Or so she thinks…until an elegant candlelit dinner ends with a dead body.
Now, Abbie finds herself on the ride of her life, whisked away to the big city in Temper’s protective custody. She should be scared but—despite his nickname—it’s clear the last thing Temper would ever do is hurt a hair on her head. And when danger catches up with them, Abbie soon realizes that holding tight to her man while straddling a Harley may be the safest place of all.

Temper by Chantal Fernando
Knights of Fury #3
Looking for a tame biker romance without explicit violence? This book might be for you. It is NOT your typical biker romance but a rather sweet story of an ongoing annual request for a date when Temper rolls through town and that request has always been turned down by abbie…until…one day Temper comes into Abbie’s bar and says he might not ask her out this year, she decides that would NOT be good thing at all and so they do go out on their first date…finally.
The date is splendid till it is not and then her life changes dramatically. Given a chance to leave her town, state, controlling mother and a life that was not the one she chose she spreads her wings, meets new people. Does the tourist thing and gets to know Temper better.
Of course there is a bad guy to thwart, some surprises, twists and turns with the expected HEA.
What I liked:
* Temper: rugged, mature, commanding but with a tender heart
* Abbie: a woman who needs change and is willing to take a chance with Temper
* The Knights of Fury and their women
* Learning the back stories of both main characters
* The thwarting of the bad guy
* That there is a HEA for the two
* The potential for more stories in the series
What I didn’t like:
* The overly tame nature of this not so gritty MC romance
* The way Abbie moved from mouse to wannabe Wonder Woman
* Abbie’s mother
Did I like this book? Yes, as a romance
Did I like this book as an MC Romance? Not as much as others I have read
Would I read more in this series? Maybe
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin-Carina for the ARC – This is my honest review.
3-4 Stars
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
3.5 stars
This is book three in the Knights of Fury series and about the MC president. I have wanted more of Temper’s story from the beginning but it seemed to be missing something. He just didn’t act like an MC pres should have acted to me. And no I haven’t been around any MC members lately.
The story was good and it had a good storyline, I wasn’t involved with the characters in a way I like while reading.
Abbie seemed to be a pushover with her Mom. Running the bar one minute and leaving the next. Didn’t her Mom need her? One time her Mom was having trouble remembering to take her medicine, so she just left her Mom and her sister. Yes, she was 28 but she had obligations.
Anyway, I did enjoy the story to a point and hope there will be more in this series.

I loved this! I feel like the absolute likableness (just made that word up) of Temper and his MC is not a realistic representation of a motorcycle club…they’re all hot, sweet, thoughtful, alpha males. But this is fiction, right? And I love it this way!
The technical start of Temper and Abbie’s relationship is a little unorthodox the ensuing craziness is enough to make your head spin!
I can’t wait for more of this MC! 5 stars!
Once a year Temper wanders into the bar where Abbie works, turns on his charm, orders a drink, and holds out hope that this year will be the year she says yes. He has gotten so used to being told no that when she finally says yes, he is a little shocked… but very pleased. With any luck maybe this date will lead to what he has wanted for the last five years… to finally make her his ol’ lady.
Their date starts off perfectly, but ends with her being kidnapped… which was definitely not part of the plan!!
Between the pages of this action-packed tale readers will meet a hardened biker with a secretive tender side, and the lady who is lucky enough to see it. Temper is a tough and rowdy biker through and through, but underneath all of that leather and tough exterior is a man who with a heart of gold. The moment he set his sights on Abbie five years ago, he was a goner, but she on the other hand wasn’t so receptive to his advances, and was quick to shy away from him. But he knew they could be something special so he kept going back every year hoping he could finally change her mind, and once he did all bets were off! I loved watching Temper try to win Abbies’ heart and attention, he had his work cut out for him, but handled the challenge nicely, and had me swooning throughout! I absolutely loved this newest installment to the Knights of Fury series, it’s pages were filled with everything needed to keep my eyes glued to the pages and my heart skipping a beat! Highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it’s destined to leave you thoroughly satisfied!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, via NetGalley request, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Will she win over her Temper?
He’s the Prez of the Knights of Fury and for years he has been going to Franks and asking out the lovely bartender Abbie, but every time she shoots him down. He decides he’s going to ask her one more time and if she refuses, he’ll move on. Lo and behold she says yes
Abbie finally says yes to the man who makes her feel all sorts of emotions but their first date goes pear-shaped and she finds herself just outside of LA at the Knights clubhouse. However, things take a complicated turn but will she step up and be an old lady to the Prez that he needs or will she run from her Temper?
Loved Abbie and Temper and I can’t wait to see who gets their story next in this MC as I really am not ready for it to end quite yetI received an advanced copy via Netgalley and I’d like to thank the publisher and Chantal for the opportunity to voluntarily leave my honest review
A slow burn romance that is fun and sweet. Yes, you read that right, an MC romance that is sweet. Temper is a bit hot headed but you have to understand the context of why he became hot headed – love, it will do it every time. I love their practical jokes and Abbie’s overall badassness. Who knew she had it in her? There is a twist that I did not see coming and it will have you saying “what just happened” in a good way, really. I really enjoyed this story. If you have not read Chantal’s books before, this series is a nice one to start with since it is not heavy on the MC but it is on relationships.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
I signed up for Temper not realizing that it was book #3 in the series. It wasn’t until I was done and looking at Goodreads that I saw that there were two books previously. It explained why, at times, I felt like I came into a conversation that was 1/4 of the way in, was able to pick up what was going on and keep up but missing a couple of things. Luckily, the story is about Temper and Abbie exclusively so that the core of the story about them is complete unto itself.
Temper is the president of the Knights Fury MC and this is a fairly recent event. The last president, Hammer, passed away and Temper has taken up the mantle. Abbie knows Temper from his years of coming into her bar during MC runs and turning him down when he asks her out each time. This time, she decides that she is tired of not having any fun in her life because taking care of her sister and mother has taken precedent and says yes. This happens to be the run that Temper and his crew kill a man when they are ambushed, forcing them to take Abbie with them to California to keep her safe.
The story is well balanced and hefty with interaction with several side characters. Temper and Abbie have good chemistry and their heated scenes will bring a sweat. The action, in the beginning, is interesting and swings through a couple of twists and turns towards the end. There is a slightly outlandish connection between Abbie, the MC, and a drug dealer that threw me a little but made for good reading.
Overall, a good MC book with the right amount of romance.
This was another steamy MC story. This is a standalone book in the Knights of Fury series.
This is the story of Temper and Abbie. I really enjoyed the beginning of this story, the character’s meet cute was really awesone and I felt the chemistry between them from the first page. The way Temper courts Abbi and the fact that he is a thoughtful man, made the story hot. There is plenty of action to balance out the romance and I loved seeing the MC together and strong.
Temper is a great character. New to the President role he still has some learning to do. Abbi, well, she was not my favorite character. I felt her to be too contradicting and a bit childish as times. She really made it hard on Trmper and herself. I wished the author had written her with a bit more grit and respect for the MC, but end the end everything worked out. I received an ARC via NetGalley and I am leaving an honest review.
ARC received via Netgalley for an honest review
Ms Fernando is one of the few MC genre authors that I still read, and I am never disappointed
Temper and Abbie’s story is one of long time crushes, and of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
But the consequences are more than either of them could ask for.
Temper is all kinds of lolvely, and you can’t help but fall for him along with Abbie.
I loved getting back into the clubhouse, loved getting more of Saint and Rennie and their lovely ladies, and I can’t wait for more of the series.
Chantal Fernando got it perfect with this book !!!
Once again this fabulously talented author has delivered a heart stopping romantic absolutely perfect story that caught this reader’s attention from the very first page and held me breathlessly anticipating a happy ending until the last one. As usual the story was spot on and seamlessly flowing, with charming characters, scorching chemistry, and plenty of surprises along the way. I loved Temper and Abbie together. They were so perfect for each other. Temper had a sweet side that was revealed for Abbie. While Abbie realized her true bad arse side because of Temper. I loved that they finally took the chance and found happiness together. A lot of big things happened in this book !
Chantal Fernando is an amazing author ! I always enjoy her books, and this one is now a favorite. I loved it !!!
I was gifted a complimentary publishers copy of this book. My voluntary and honestly given opinions are my own.
Temper is the third title in the Knights of Fury series.
Temper is the President of the Knights of Fury, and a complex and intriguing character. He’s a protective, loyal alpha, driven to keep the Knight of Fury safe, but also has a softer side when it comes to Abbie.
Abbie is loyal, kind and compassionate. She’s put her own dreams and desires on hold to help out her family.
The chemistry that this pair shares is undeniable, and their loves scenes are quite hot and steamy.
I highly recommend reading the titles in this series in order or there will be spoilers.
This title is full of action, intrigue, drama and suspense. The twists and turns just kept coming and I look forward to seeing which Knight will be featured next.
This latest installment in the Knight of Fury series to me is by far Fernando’s best, the storyline is downright addicting, I devoured this book within few hours of opening it, I just could not put it down. The item that stood out the most and I absolutely loved was the complexity of her characters, each having their own diverse pasts as well as with the help of each other turning out to be more than what they first appeared. Through their relationship Abbie finds her strength and Temper finds his gentleness. This installment also adds new layers to an already complex storyline, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat with wonder of what could possibly happen next to the Knights and their families.
PLOT TWIST! I really enjoyed this story. Normally every story has something that annoys me but not this one. Abbie is great at going with the flow and balancing that with taking charge. No better match for the prez… Temper becomes someone new around her and in return he breaks Abbie out of her shell. He really has a softer (with a bit of rough around the edges) side to him. This story has a lot of action and surprises. But don’t worry, it’s not lacking hotness. And it’s entertaining all the way with a side of romantic.
There were many aspects of this book that I liked. I genuinely liked the character of Temper and also Abbie. They were both really good characters. Even though Temper was president of a biker club, you could see what he values. Its not any different than a man protecting things that he loves, its just that his life is a little more rough around the edges.
Abbie was a kind and caring person, who just wanted to live life. She also was someone who when she commits to you as a girlfriend or a friend she is all in. She will run into a room full of bullets to protect the ones she loves. She is also very smart.
I was a little put off in the beginning about the whole being taken thing but she seemed to get over it pretty quickly.
This is the third book in the series. Temper’s book, hence the name. I had always liked him and not that I didn’t but he was softer so not like I would expect an MC President to be. And Abby yeah no I could not see her as his love interest and even though the author tried to make her seem badass along the way it didn’t work for me. I was glad to read about the previous couples and glad that they finally got to have some type of conclusion with Georgia, but again the whole Gray/Nevin situation was just to contrived for me..So sometimes like this authors work, and sometimes it does work like this one.
rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..netgalley..voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
Knights of Fury MC, book 3, and we have club President, Temper, finally meeting his match with wannabe lawyer Abbie, who is currently running her mother’s bar. After 5 years of rejecting Temper’s advances, Abbie finally agrees to a date, only to end up biting off more than she can che w when she sees witnesses something she shouldn’t. Some action, a whole lot of romance (who knew Temper had it in him), and lots of drama make for one hell of a rollercoaster ride. We also get up close and personal with Saint, Renny and the rest of the gang. I love this bunch of die-hards. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
After reading the first two books, I really wanted to see Temper find his happily ever after. Temper and Abbie are so cute together, but are hot as well. Abbie is a warrior and Temper is an alpha male. They are perfect together. She makes him softer, while he makes her harder. Temper is such a good read. I could not put it down and read it straight through. This book gave me all the feels. I really enjoyed it. I need more stories for Chain and Crow in this series. This series is giving The Wind Dragons series a run for its money.
**4.5 Stars**
I always enjoy Chantal Fernando’s MC books and this series has been fabulous so far and it certainly continues with Temper’s story.
Temper meets Abbie when she is working in her family’s bar and asks her out, but given their age difference, she declines, and continues to do so a couple times a year for several years…pretty much every time Temper is in town. Until the day she finally decides to take a chance and give in and do something for herself.
This book is full of suspense and drama and lots of surprises. And don’t forget the chemistry…Temper and Abbie have ALL the chemistry. I absolutely loved them together and thought Abbie made a perfect addition to the Knights of Fury MC family. I enjoyed this book greatly and read it in one sitting.
