This is a great book. The characters are well developed and the plot is amazing. You will love it. I recommend this book.
I have this a neutral rating as I received a free ARC in exchange for a review. It was delivered via BookFunnel to o Kindle. As I was only able to read the first chapter I cannot give a full review but I did like what I could read. I wish the author all the best and hope that I can read the rest of the book soon.
Exciting fantastic well written story. This addicting storyline is loaded with secrets, fear, betrayal, drama, lust, crazy twists, blasted obstacles, sadness, despair, dysfunctional and manipulative mother. A real rollercoaster of emotions but lotss if laughs and fun thoughout leaving on an exciting cliffhanger. The characters are complex, relatable and have incredible hot chemistry. A enjoyable ride while indebeted for a year but paud handsomely. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC and on the edge waiting for more if an awesome ride.
Once again Charlotte Byrd pulls you in from the start! When Olive receives an anonymous check in the exact amount of her outstanding student loans she’s torn as to what to do with it. Accepting the money will start her on an adventure she never could have dreamed of. You won’t want to miss this series! I can’t wait for book 2!! I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
Loving this new series
Loved Olive and Nicholas
Grabbed my heart
Ready for more
I received an Arc for this book. We start out with Olive who has not had an easy start in life. She receives a private check from someone she wasn’t aware of that can make her not have to struggle with her debt. She had t had the easiest in life. So much suspense lurking around each corner with some heart and heartbreak to ensure. A must read which will leave you hanging from the top
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. First let me say anything Charlotte Byrd writes is worth reading. I really enjoyed this book. I read it in approximately 2 hours. The story line is dynamic and engaging. The characters are diverse in personality and status. The idea that getting something for nothing is truly tested here. I don’t want to say much as it seems it would be a potential spoiler. I will say that I am going to pre-order the next book in the series and I am wishing it was already available. I am hooked to this series.
I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
This is the first time that I have read a book by this author, but it won’t be the last, well because for one this is book one and I need to know what happens between Nicholas and Olive
I really enjoyed the start of this book and how it draws you in. Olive receives a cheque through the post from a mystery benefactor, it’s for the exact amount to pay off her student loans. The BIG question does she use it or not? What does the mystery person want from her?
Well she will soon learn who it is when a ticket to Hawaii arrives, with an invite to meet.
She goes and meets up with Nicholas and he has an offer for her, let’s just say she’s not happy with the proposal and hightails it out of there.
Also Olive has a room mate Sydney, who went with her to Hawaii and stayed as she met someone, James, and wanted to stay with him for the rest of the week.
There is also the family dysfunction that Olive has with her mum that is examined throughout the book.
So let me just say that there is a lot of things going on in the book, twists and turns, that keep you on reading well into the small hours of the night.
I’d definitely recommend this book.
I found this book to be delectable! This is an intense read that will quickly capture every ounce of your attention and will have you firmly ensnared in its web. I thought that Nicholas and Olive’s story was complex, complicated, twisty, thought provoking, sizzling hot and absolutely addictive. There is plenty of drama, turmoil, tension, questions, emotions, heat and suspense as the story begins to unfold. Fair warning, this is only the first piece of this story, so be prepared to be left craving so much more by the cliffhanger and in desperate need of the next book. I can’t wait for more!!
This was a really great book, Olivia is a college student she just graduated and started a job….. she is very far in debt but receives a letter with a check to pay the complete student loan off. But she doesn’t find out what she has to do for this money until after she has paid her debt. But once she meets him he wants something that she may not want to give. I am leaving an honest review for this book
Charlotte Byrd has done it yet again. This book is riveting from start to finish. Olive is attempting to escape her abusive mother and living under a mountain of debt when she receives a monetary gift that will alleviate her worries but may involve her paying back more than she can afford. Nicholas is the brother of her former best friend and her phantom benefactor. This story is electric. There is mystery, drama and plenty of romance. The characters are great and the story line aids in there evolution. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series.
SO GOOD!! This book is a great start to what is sure to be an epic series. I read the whole thing in one sitting. It was that good!! I have always loved Charlotte’s books and this one is no different. It is both steamy and suspenseful with some funny moments in between. It’s gonna be hard to wait for a whole month to read the second book for sure!!
Charlotte is a keeps-getting-better-every-book-of-hers-you-read-author. I can not get enough of her books and always look forward to the next adventure. Olive mysterious receives a check in the mail that will wipe her school debt out completely. But, it doesn’t come without strings. She’s has to do something in return that will cost her 365 nights. Omg, so good.
OMW! What a GREAT start to a new episodic SERIES! Captivating, addictive and INTENSE!
Life or better put, living life well is not easy. For those who have little money, this can be doubly true. For Olivia Kernes, the heroine of TELL ME TO STOP, money or perhaps more accurately debts and the ability to pay them off place her in a precarious position and a player in a game she doesn’t understand. Not only is she clueless about her role in the game, but she also doesn’t understand the rules. Again, it would be more accurate to say she doesn’t know the rules or even if there are any rules. And it all starts with a check. A check that reminds Olive, with her mother’s voice that nothing is for free, and leaving Olivia so apprehensive that she walks into the game totally unprepared, certain that the only thing she knows for sure is that she has no idea what she is doing, and the absolute certainty that she will not be doing THAT if she agrees to spend a year of her time with Nicholas for remittance of one million dollars. However, she does understand the incredible chemistry that continues to build between her and Nicholas Crawford, that she may not have a clear picture of her own strengths and weaknesses, and that she is quite stuck in that proverbial spot between a rock and a hard place, because Nicholas with his money and demands may be her “Catch-22”. Author Charlotte Byrd is well known for her creative and compelling episodic series, and if TELL ME TO STOP is the measure, she has another HIT on her hands in this TELL ME Series. TELL ME TO STOP is another outstandingly well-written introduction to the main characters, Olivia and Nicholas that is so intense, it captured my attention immediately and still has not let go . . . Readers also get to meet Olive’s best friend and her romantic interest, James, who also happens to be . . . .well you’ll have to read TELL ME TO STOP to sort that one out. Bottom line is: This TELL ME series promises to be just as addictive, just as gripping as her BLACK and TANGLED series are, and I can’t wait to get the second book of TELL ME, entitled TELL ME TO GO which should be out around the 3rd of September. I voluntarily read a copy of TELL ME TO STOP and this is my voluntary, honest review. TELL ME TO STOP promises to be another 5+STAR read, so I STRONGLY suggest that you purchase your copy today! Happy pages!
This is the start to another great series of Charlotte Byrd’s. It leaves you wanting more and I can’t wait for the next book.
4.5 stars. The series is off to a good start! I always swear I won’t do another story where there are episodes to wait for, but she is a favorite author and I couldn’t resist. So, here we go…
Olive receives an anonymous gift of money that has been hand delivered. It’s exactly the amount of her student loans. She’s on the fence about paying them, but she relents to clear the loans. Then she receives an invitation to Hawaii to meet her benefactor. Nicholas explains he is paying a commitment forward, but she owes him a ‘debt’ which is for a year and he will compensate her for her time very handsomely. She is leery of the situation and flies back to Boston. Her mother is beyond dysfunctional. She manipulates and guilts Olive into cleaning up her messes. There’s more and the inevitable cliffhanger. I have butterflies in my stomach which don’t show up often. Can’t wait for the next part!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
charlotte you are doing it again. another story that you hold until the last line. I could not put the book aside, it was just a shame it was over. this first part has just enough of everything. I can’t wait for the next part. I voluntarily do a review for this book, by an arc of charlotte herself.
Nicholas is full of secrets. Olive is in debt to him. This is the start of their story. It gives the basis for how their paths cross. At this time they are just getting to know each other. Nicholas has a proposition for Olive and she has to figure out if accepting is worth the risk.
You have to buy the next book to continue the story
Tell Me to Stop is the first in the Tell Me Series. It was a short easy read reminding me of a Novella. Although it felt a little rushed if you continue to read the series it picks up where it left off from the previous book.
Olive is a college graduate just trying to work and pay off student loans when she gets this envelope in the mail. Inside is a check in the exact amount of her student loans with no name or a return address. For days she wrestles with whether she should cash the check since she does not know what will happen if she does. Fast forward to her cashing the check and she receives another letter in the mail inviting her to come out to Maui to meet the man who gave her this “gift”, but a gift this big does not come without strings. Once she gets to Hawaii, she finds out just exactly what he needs. Nicholas Crawford is a con man who wants the help of Olive, he has researched her background and he knows what she is capable of. He offers her $1 million to spend 365 days with him and be whatever he needs her to be.
This was a good start to this series and it caught my attention enough to continue to find out what will happen between Olive and Nicholas.
