From USA Today bestselling author, Willow Winters, comes a seductive and emotionally captivating second-chance romance. It’s impossible to get over what we had. He was everything — irresistibly handsome, ruthlessly elite, and seemingly untouchable — while I was nothing.Yet he protected me when I was at my lowest; more than that, he wanted me. He devoured me… and I did the same to him.Until it all … same to him.
Until it all fell apart and I ran as far away from Madox as I could. After all, the two of us were never meant to be together.
I never thought I’d see him again, years later. Let alone be under him in the way I’ve craved since we said goodbye.
The attraction between us still burns like fire, but time can’t change the past. And I don’t know if it’s possible for us to mend all of our broken pieces.
“Winters creates another masterpiece of beautiful storytelling and leaves her readers breathless.” – Nicki – The Overflowing Bookcase
This romance was originally published in the Cards of Love collection. It has been revised with additional scenes. Happy reading xx.

This is another fantastic story. This is a second chance story that’s emotional and raw. I loved the characters and how they came together the storyline is interesting and keeps you wanting more.
This story as originally published as Cards of love: three swords.
when I read ‘Tell Me To Stay’, Willow Winter completed all the missing details I needed. She brought me the heroes in the most transparent way.
I got to know them more deeply, I was disappointed, loved and learned the right way to love with them.
What’s to say, Willow Winter know how to get into your soul.
like I sad in the cards of love; As a person who thinks fate is important in life and can deceive us, Willow brings us the tarot cards that fascinated me.
So, not all that is written on the cards always come true, but, hey, believing is a good thing if it strengthens us.
The story of Sophie and Madox is an amazing story. From one chapter to the next, we are exposed to the complex and deep relationship between them. Thee deep love that exists between them and that none of them is willing to give up on each other. The story brings you to search within the soul, within the emotion and frustration, the heartache and the desire to forgive and love. And yes, sometimes we need the hand of destiny that must be pushed, and who does not need a little push to get what he wants? Even though this intervention comes from an unexpected place.
The book name, ‘Tell me to Stay’ it’s so perfect. Who does not want to stay? Who does not want to experience true love?
I’m Warmly recommend.
This was the first book of Willow Winters I’ve read and she hooked me! I loved this book but it wasn’t due to swoony, fluttery feelings in my stomach. I adore Madox and Sophie. They were two broken souls who loved each other deeply, yet didn’t know who to convey their feelings. I bawled, deeply shattered for them as they struggled to reconnect after three years being apart. And then to know maybe all those years separated didn’t have to be…holy shit!
There’s a lot of angst in this story but Winters gives you the long-awaited HEA at the end. And boy did I need it! I’m totally a new Willow Winters fan!
Willow’s stories always grab me by the heart and throat and keep me in their clutches until the very end. Another amazing story. Highly recommend!
Tell Me to Stay is the Three of Swords, Cards of Love series, but has been revised and added onto. I enjoyed reading more of Sophie and Madox. I enjoy second chance stories and Willow Winters always tells them in her captivating way.
Sophie and Madox are so troubled. They have not healed from the past. But fate seems to have it’s way on getting them back together. Thier story is filled with ups, downs, misunderstandings and a past that is still an open wound. Be prepared to get angry with them, laugh with them, cry with them and most of all fall in love with them.
Willow Winters always finds a way to create an emotional roller coaster that you cannot get off of. Tell Me to Stay is on ride you do not want to miss.
Tell Me To is a journey about Madox and Sophie second chance at love. My gosh the emotions are pouring off the pages, the characters were genuine and true. Their chemistry was scorching Hot!! Even liked the secondary characters that we seen. The story is a quick read, and I devoured it all at once. I like this authors writing style. Great story!
Intense and emotionally captivating Tell Me To Stay was an amazing second chance romance. Madox and Sophie’s story isn’t your typical boy meets girl and lives happily ever after one. Their relationship is intense and the chemistry between them is enough to start a five alarm fire. When life pulls sends them each in different directions neither forgets the bond they shared and years later the spark between them still remains. These two pulled at my heartstrings and kept me teetering on the edge of my seat trying to unravel the twists and turns their story took. I couldn’t help but want to smack some sense into them even as I rooted for them to get their selves together and to see what everyone else could so clearly see. Madox and Sophie took my poor heart on an emotional rollercoaster ride and kept me riveted until the end which I didn’t want to see come. If you’re in the mood for a sweet yet angsty second chance romance that’ll tug on your heartstrings then Tell Me To Stay is just the book you need.
Totally loved Madox, he’s passionate, caring, dominant and powerful all wrapped into a beautiful package. Sophie is sweet, kind, caring and compassionate. Together they make fireworks cascade in the distance! They are hot and magnetic! This story is a second chance romance and definitely an amazing read!! I couldn’t get enough of the characters or the storyline! It drew me in from the first page until the end! I loved it and the author is always terrific and her stories are utter perfection!
I really enjoyed how this story was written. I loved how the author was able to include past moments throughout the book in a way that didn’t confuse me. they were short, brief, yet completely meaningful moments of their history without giving too much away which also helped keep the suspense up. it added emotion and gave us better understanding of the insecurities with both sophie and Maddox. loved it!
Once again this author doesn’t disappoint and delivers another sigh swoon worthy read with an intensity between two characters, that only W.W. can deliver. A story of second chances between Madox and Sophie, two people who were on and off for years when they were younger, until Sophie finally makes the off permanent. Now three years later she’s back in N.Y. where it all began and ends up seeing Madox in a bar. Madox can’t believe his eyes when he spots Sophie and the only thing he can think of is not letting her leave again and wishing she doesn’t leave him. But the past is still unresolved and these two need to learn to communicate before it all crashes down…again.
Oh my my my what a read that had me reaching for tissues a couple of times and feeling the intensity between these jump off the pages. Even though it’s a short read, it wallops quite a punch and Madox is 10 stars swoon worthy. Madox has made it into my top 10 of book boyfriends, the tipping point, he waited for Sophie not turning into a man wh***….sigh swoon sigh swoon….not only that but Sophie was true to him as well. I LOVED how both showed their vulnerable side and how even after many years, both were still in love with each other. Ohhhh and I can’t forget about the little twist in the end…LOVED IT !!!
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
I am a die hard fan of second chance romances and Willow just slung me out into orbit with Sophie and Madox’s complicated but true love relationship. Throughout the book I couldn’t contain my anguish as I witnessed Sophie and Madox dancing around their true emotions. How deeply they loved one another, but their lack of communication often made what they had poisonous. Although they had a type of love that comes around only once in a lifetime, their unfortunate upbringings didn’t provide them with the best role models.
After losing Sophie three years ago, Madox knew that if given a second chance, he would have to change his ways. So when Sophie appears at his bar, he knew that he couldn’t lose her again. The three years she was gone, Madox wasn’t living, he was just surviving. How far will Madox go to show Sophie what she means to him? Can he finally open up and be vulnerable to the one person that means the world to him?
Sophie knew that moving back to New York meant that there was a great possibility she would run into Madox again. Madox, the man that saved her years ago from a fate that would have changed her forever. Madox, her one true love whom she loved more than anything. Madox, the man that makes her feel oh so good but also makes her weak and dependent. Sophie is stronger now and as much as she wants Madox back in her life, the fear that he will consume her makes her try and keep him at arms length. Unfortunately he has too strong of a hold on her and she finds herself back in his arms. Can Sophie be with Madox without losing herself along the way? Will she go running once things become complicated again?
It was heart wrenching and painful watching Madox and Sophie struggling to be better together while fighting their past demons. When a truth that involves them and a very unlikely other is revealed, will it bring Sophie and Madox closer together or will it end them forever? I LOVED Madox and Sophie and how they discovered one another again their second time around. I was thrilled when Madox finally opened up and shared with Sophie what she has been waiting to hear. It is never too late for love if two people are willing to make the change and fight for one another.
Tell Me to Stay was a great, emotional, fast-paced, second chance romance w/undeniable chemistry between Sophie and Madox. Enjoyed their story.
From the first page I fell in love with Maddox and Sophie. The passion that the words conveyed was amazing. A wonderfully sweet and quick read I would recommend to anyone looking for a book to make them smile.
Madox and Sophie’s story began one dark night when he came to her rescue. From then on they were fated to belong to each other but are both human with flaws and imperfections if they can make their pieces fit together, like a jigsaw puzzle, it will be an amazing relationship. But Sophie is afraid Madox only wants her for her body and doesn’t really love her she feels she’s beneath Madox and can never measure up to his upbringing and stature in the community. Madox is afraid to admit how much he needs and loves he just can’t verbalize his feelings aloud and thinks that his actions should prove his love to Sophie. Sophie gives up on them and runs to San Francisco but when she’s offered the job of her dreams she returns to their home town. This is the story of how they attempt to make their pieces fit. It’s raw and sensual and will hold your attention from the first page to the last leaving you wanting to read more of their story. . Ms Winters never disappoints her books are always page turners there is something so special about her writing. Something I can’t define but I haven’t found any other author with her gift for drawing you into the story and feeling the emotions her characters are feeling. She makes you wait anxiously for the next book. And anxiously waiting I am. I was gifted a copy and am happily reviewing it. I wouldn’t miss a single book by Ms Winters
Ms. Willow Winters is an unsurpassed Author, in my opinion, and consistently publishes awe inspiring, heartpounding / beautifully crafted storylines for each of us readers, that are fans of superbly crafted romance. Tell Me To Stay is just another example of her incredible talent and creativity. Her most recent release was originally published as Cards if love (Three swords). Willow has taken what was already an amazing book and added even more deliciousness for us. Yay!
Welcome to the drama of Madox and Sophia. They already have a history so to get their second chance at a happy ever after is a journey you’re going to want to be on. I do not want to give away any part of the plot so that I do not ruin it for other reader’s, but I assure you this is an impressive and impeccable release.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader’s copy of Tell Me To Stay in exchange for my honest opinion and I couldn’t devour it fast enough nor could I recommend it more.
I absolutely loved this story. I thought the original story as told in “Cards of Love, Three of Swords” was wonderful This is a whole other level. We get more of Madox and Sophie and their on again off again love story. The chemistry is still there of course. You get a deeper look into what their feelings are about one another and how they grow along the way. Each never really forgetting about the other and both at times questioning whether they are good for one another. They both learn along the way that they are deserving of love and even though they never felt it from their own families they can learn from each other what it is to share a deep love with one another. I could not read this book fast enough. The way Ms Winters is able to bring new life into this story and not lose the original story but make it even better is amazing! I loved this version as much if not more than the original and highly recommend it!
I loved this the first time I read it, and this reworked book is even better! Grief comes in many forms, and Sophie and Madox each had their fair share of sadness in their lives. I loved this story – a huge lack of communication drove a wedge between them. It took some growing up and coming to terms with their own weaknesses before they could truly move forward. The emotional upheaval in this book tugged at my heart strings big time. I think there’s that part of Sophie in all of us women – that part that needs to hear the words. Madox was such a sexy, hot alpha, but his past never let him learn to become the man he needed to be. I’d take him any way I could get him! I also loved Ryan, Brett and Trish, and I dearly hope they get their own stories!
Excellent read and a fast read! Madox and Sophie’s story is so sad and sweet at the same time. They go through so much. Have you a tissue handy. You’ll need it! The name of the book says it all. It’s a great love story. I highly recommend this book!
I love every book from this author and I really loved this story of Madox and Sophie they were just the perfect couple to read! I loved the added content as well it just made it that much better. Their story is full of a little bit of angst but also just so filled with love. I just love how she just inspires me everyday with her books and her words are just always beautiful!!! I’m so happy that I get to read her books because she is an amazing writer!!!
This is a shorter story, but that didn’t mean it didn’t pack a punch. I really enjoyed getting lost in Sophie and Madox’s world!
