From USA Today bestselling author, Willow Winters, comes a seductive and emotionally captivating second-chance romance. It’s impossible to get over what we had. He was everything — irresistibly handsome, ruthlessly elite, and seemingly untouchable — while I was nothing.Yet he protected me when I was at my lowest; more than that, he wanted me. He devoured me… and I did the same to him.Until it all … same to him.
Until it all fell apart and I ran as far away from Madox as I could. After all, the two of us were never meant to be together.
I never thought I’d see him again, years later. Let alone be under him in the way I’ve craved since we said goodbye.
The attraction between us still burns like fire, but time can’t change the past. And I don’t know if it’s possible for us to mend all of our broken pieces.
“Winters creates another masterpiece of beautiful storytelling and leaves her readers breathless.” – Nicki – The Overflowing Bookcase
This romance was originally published in the Cards of Love collection. It has been revised with additional scenes. Happy reading xx.

This book is an emotional roller coaters that pulls out the gut feelings of first loves and old habits!!! You do not want to miss this story!
This book was so simple. Something about the simplicity of the story and the characters just made this book really good. I thought it would be a drama and sex filled book but it wasn’t and it’s just what I needed.
I enjoyed this book, but I was seriously expecting more! I think there was a lot more scenes about their past than there was about the present, and I didn’t like that.
However, their story is a lovely one, that revelas how important communication is in a relationship, as well as the feeling of equality.
Sophie and Madox second chance was perfect. They both made mistakes in their relationship and grow from it through their separation but still both have an epic love for one another. Its a classic case of open your mouth and communicate but I am trash for this trope and loved it. I felt everything and Willow capture the emotionality of struggling to communicate your needs/ wants in a relationship and their consequences of not doing that.
I had not read book one in the series but this is a standalone and did not take away from my enjoyment of this in the least. Fantastic second chance with a love that held on through the years of separation.
4 STARS
I enjoyed this second chance romance! This book is a standalone from Willow Winters and it was originally written as Cards of Love: Three Of Swords with a few changes.
Madox and Sophie’s relationship ended due to lack of communication.
“Toward the end, I think I’d pick a fight just to see if he would ever tell me to stay.”
But in the three years they were apart they realized where they both failed. Now they can both see how their separation changed them and how this time around it will be different.
“We just didn’t know how to show it and how to feel like we were worth being loved by each other.”
I highly recommend reading Tell Me To Stay! This book is a MUST read! Tell Me To Stay by Willow Winters will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ELITE!!!
I loved it!
Oh man… This book gave me all the feels. Sophie & Madox are just too much what they went through separately was awful, but them together almost broke me in the best ways. Loved it!
Good to the very last page!
It was an enjoyable read. Ending was maybe a bit rushed?
Once again Winters proves why I will always be a fan of her work.
Tell Me To Stay is just beautiful, heartfelt and so full of emotion. I love second chance romances. And, Tell Me to Stay has quickly become a favorite.
It’s a book that I highly encourage everyone to read.
Willow has done it again. She has written a superb second chance romance book. Madox and Sophie were so in love and due to communication problems, Sophie leaves. Three years later and she is back after getting a new job. She hopes she won’t be seeing Madox. It hurt so much to leave him years ago and knows it will be hard if she sees him again. But fate always gets its way and they are reunited again. Madox has Sophie back in his life and he is never letting her go again. They both have things to work through, especially with both their pasts. You can see the live they have for each other, they just need to communicate their feelings. Madox and Sophie has a strong connection with each other three years ago and their connection has just grown stronger. Madox and Sophie were made for each other and fit together like puzzle pieces. This was previously titled, Cards of Love: Three of Swords. This has been expanded and is a great read. This is one you don’t want to miss. The storyline is fantastic and I loved the characters.
I read and reviewed this book voluntarily.
Maddox and Sophie’s story will have you hooked from the beginning to the end. They have a past that she ran from. She is back in NY but she wants to stay away from him and all her old friends. That gets blown to pieces the first night she is back. Will they have a future?
This was a great book. The characters are complex with depth. You can’t help but get hooked.
Having never read Three of Swords, I went in to Tell me to Stay with no pre- knowledge of the story, and was not disappointed. I loved following Sophie and Maddox as they meet again after she left years before. Willow Winters knows how to create characters that draw you in and makes it hard to forget. I look forward to her next book.
