She’s gone. Someone took her from me.I knew I wasn’t supposed to fall in love. But I did it anyway. And now it might have cost my princess – the princess – her life.I won’t stop until I find her. But when I do, I’ll need to stay away. She won’t survive the scandal. There’s no way I can love her and protect her.I’ll have to choose one.
I liked this book so much better than the first! (See that review here)
Teasing the Princess picks up right where Royal Tease ended. After a little bit of a slow start, mostly because my brain was trying to remember what I had read before and catch up, the book really took off. Roone and team are frantically trying to locate the missing princess. Her ally, her father’s professor friend, is missing and has apparently been taken by the same people who are out to get Jessa. On top of the “overthrow the monarchy” conspiracy, there are a couple side plots that increase the action.
What I liked: This book doesn’t have the “what are they talking about??” aspect that the first one did. There was no problem following the story or knowing what everyone was talking about. Also, after a bit of a rough start, Roone and Jessa finally bloom into a full relationship and it’s fantastic. They really get each other and respect each other. Other things to love: all the strong female characters. There isn’t one damsel in distress in this whole book.
What I didn’t like: Nothing really stands out as a dislike. I did have trouble getting back into the story at first, but that only lasted a chapter or two. I was quickly engrossed in the book and didn’t want to put it down.
Overall: A fantastic conclusion to the duet. I do recommend reading both books at the same time, though. If you haven’t yet read Royal Tease, get both at the same time. You will want to go straight from one to the other, trust me.
Jessa & Roone’s conclusion!!
Loved this duet!
This book picks up right at the end of book 1!! High energy and action. Poor roone he’s flabbergasted he lost her…
This book is great! There is a period where roone and jessa aren’t speaking to each other. Those are always hard on me as a reader but it have this book a slow burn feel!
I really enjoyed it and the end scene with Ariel, broke me. Cannot wait for her story!
Teasing the Princess is the conclusion to Royal Tease, which left us on a cliffhanger. Thus we enter book two of a bodyguard/royalty/work mashup romance mixed with opposites attract. Having read book one of this series, I was acquainted with the characters and plot.
This book sees our characters piecing together so much of their past and finding a new place for themselves in a new family and place. A lot happens, a lot to keep track of, and some of it with characters from book one, and from past books. Then, just when you think all the plot twists have been tied up neatly in a bow, pow! Another bit you almost forgot comes back to the forefront and knocks everyone for a loop!
Jessa has a quirky past that has led her to make some rash decisions and jump to some perhaps unorthodox conclusions. Roone is the hapless bodyguard who is working without all the info on a protectee who doesn’t know she’s being protected or why. Their antics are both funny and frustrating. The chapters being told by alternating characters kept the reader mostly in the loop, feeling like an omniscient narrator who is watching a train wreck happen.
These two already crossed all the bodyguard lines in book one. Since we knew they liked each other and set each other on fire, this book had to work a little harder to have Jessa and Roone connect, but despite all the changes happening around them, they still have the chemistry, still have the heat, still manage to connect and be there for each other.
Again, I thought the style was a bit choppy. I really need to go read Lucas and Sebastian’s stories for a better backstory for this author’s character world. There were a lot of explanations that I needed to reread to get the details straight to make sense, and a family tree or diagram of the factions would have been helpful! But I did want to know who was the after the princess, and how this whole crazy royal family worked everything out.
You can easily tell this is definitely part of a larger novel universe, and while many questions were answered, I felt out of the loop not knowing all the royal family. So I may need to go find those. But it was a good read and I’m game for any future books in the series.

I’ve read many books by Nana Malone, including all the ones related to the characters in this book – Royals Undercover, Royals Undone, and the books about the Blake Security guys – and have loved them all. With each one, once I started reading I didn’t want to put the book down, nor did I want to have to wait for the second in the duet to come out to find out how the story ended. Ms. Malone has a great way of developing her characters as well as the story line, combining some humor, with drama, danger, and intrigue, a moment where a character feels betrayed, and incredible chemistry and a draw that pulls two characters together, despite their efforts to fight their attraction. Throw in some sexy scenes and you’ve got enticing stories to entertain and delight. Look forward to reading more from this author, and more about the different Blake Security guys…I think Oskar is next…
I am really loving the Royals series by Nana Malone. They are a series of duets based on interconnected couples and though every duet can be read as a standalone, you get so much more from the story if you read them all and in order. In Teasing the Princess, we get the conclusion of Roone and Jessa’s story.
I was so excited to get my hands on this book. I have loved Roone from the very beginning. We pick up where we left off in the previous book. So much stands in the way of Roone and Jessa. He loves her but needs to keep her safe above all else. I absolutely love him. He is loyal, determined and strong. His dedication unwavering. I love how strong and stubborn Jessa is. She is not afraid to stand for herself, but she also has a big heart.
Jessa and Roone are in the fight of their lives and everyone they care about could be in danger. Their connection is undeniable. The ride is full of surprising twists and I loved how it all came together. Teasing the Princess by Nana Malone was steamy and suspenseful and ties all the duets together nicely.

Happy reading!
Teasing the Princess is Book 2 in the Royals United duet and starts off right where Book 1, Royal Tease left off. If you recall Royal Tease left us in a cliffhanger. Things were not going according to Roone’s plans to keep Jessa safe. The Heirs of Angelus are right on their heels. Their determination to tear up the royal siblings and take the throne for themselves is uncanny. Jessa is confused. Who does she believe? Her father is said to have been crazy. Always keeping her on the run, but was he really? Teasing the Princess did not disappoint with the mix of action, suspense, romance, and a whole lot of sexiness.
That being said, The Royal United Duet can be read as a standalone though it will be best if you read the previous Royal Duets written by Nana Malone first. I was able to follow along for the most part without having read the previous works but feel like I missed a ton of story this way.
I recommend this duet!
This is the second half of the duet featuring Roone and Jessa and I actually found it a smidge more entertaining than the first!
Intrigue, mystery, action and deception all get added to the mix in much larger doses than in the previous book. Roone and Jessa have to work out the half-truths and secrets between them and we get to see Jessa meet her whole royal family and get her reaction to her whole world changing again, and then once more.
Hot romance, great cast of characters, fantastic action sequences. I’m headed back to find others in the series so that I can learn more about all of the other characters I learned to loved while reading this duet!
What a wonderful conclusion to the Royals United series. Teasing the Princess picks up where Royal Tease left off. Jessa is on the run after she believed she was betrayed by the only man she loved and learned to trust. Now she is trying to uncover the truth about her heritage and who she can really trust. After being on the run her whole life, she is conflicted when she arrives on the Winston Isles. She thinks she is spying on the enemy but feels at home and like she finally belongs to a place and a family. Roone is beside himself for letting Jessa slip away. He is so in love with her, and needs to find a way to make her trust him again. As Jessa and Roone reconnect, their fiery chemistry is hotter than ever. They also work with the whole royal crew, trying to uncover who is behind the threats to their monarchy. There are so many questions that need to be answered. Ms. Malone unravels the answers expertly adding in several plot twists that keep you guessing. I loved that all the family and friends we’ve grown to love from the past stories are all involved and essential in this book. There was still the wonderful humor that Ms Malone does so well, along with intrigue and emotion that kept me totally engaged. She also weaved in an intriguing story line with Ariel, and I can’t wait for her story next! This is a wonderful conclusion to this series but I hope to see more of all of these royals in Royal Elite!
I loved how we just jumped in right where book 1 finished so we aren’t stressing about Roone and how he is for too long. Poor Jessa just can’t seem to catch a break with trusting people and I loved how she decided to jut go and try and find out more about her brother and the family etc on her own cause that takes guts but due to her upbringing she has the determination.
You are kept on your toes while you wait to see if Roone and Jessa finally admit their feelings as everyone bar them are aware they love each other, although it is sweet Roone thinking he isn’t worthy bless his cotton socks. It was great to get to know more about Roones life prior to when we met him in book one as well as really see what his and Sebs relation means to them both. You also get closer to Ariel and boy is she having a rough go of it at the moment with her dad, that girl is strong but there is only so much you can handle but at the end of the book I was super stoked to see she will get her own book!! <3
Roone wasn’t what he portrayed himself. He was hot, teasing, and a liar. Right, the man who was supposed to be a work partner and was quickly capturing my heart had another agenda. One that would tear my life apart. The life that finally seemed to give me a solid place to stay. Ironic the nickname for me told a whole story. Princess. I had a lot to learn.
Jessa was my responsibility. She was hot, funny, smart, and I wanted her in the worst way. I wasn’t supposed to let that matter. Of course, her brothers, the king, and the prince had nothing to say considering the women they fell for. Hard. They were now a part of his friend’s lives. Something that couldn’t be for him and Jessa.
This one has intrigue, friends we’ve met and adored from previous books, action, and steamy romance. Each character is one that the reader cares about and wants them to get their HEA. The series continues and it is impossible to decide which one is best. They are all winners.

This is the second book in the series and they need to be read in order.
Jessa McLean has just been hit with some extremely unexpected news and now she is headed to Winston Isles to find out who she really is.
Roone Ainsley is supposed to be the bodyguard for his best friend’s sister but he is not expecting Jessa to get the drop on him and vanish.
As Jessa learns who she really is, she must still rely on Roone for protection after it is clear that she may still be in danger. But can Roone still protect Jessa when his heart is broken and she wants nothing more to do with him?
This was such a great conclusion to the first book with some great twists and turns to keep you wondering what was going to happen next.
I really liked Jessa and I can’t imagine what she was going through when she learned how much of her life was not what she thought it was. I understood why she was mad at Roone but it felt like he got most of her anger.
I thought Roone was a great character and I was definitely sad at how he felt losing Jessa and knowing how mad she was at him. He needed to gain her trust back but I knew it was not going to be easy. Yet he was also extremely dedicated at his job and no matter how upset he was at losing Jessa he would still lay down his life for her.
There was so much chemistry between Roone and Jessa and I had my fingers crossed that they were going to be able to work through everything. They were so good together and I loved their banter.
I loved all of the mystery between who was stalking Jessa and if that was the same person after her. The book made you keep flipping the pages as everything was becoming bigger and bigger. I was shocked at some of the reveals and how everything was going down!!
There were definitely some shocking moments and I was upset about what happened to Chloe!
I loved when Roone and Jessa finally started working things through and getting back on the same page!!
The end was awesome but I was upset with what Ariel decided to do although I look forward to her book!
OMG…..this is the EXACT ending I was hoping for from Jessa and Roone’s story!!
Teasing the Princess picks up right where Royal Tease ended. And let me just say, that cliffhanger was a B*TCH!! (But in a totally good way, trust me!)
So much happens in this book that revolves around everything that has happened over the course of each duet. And it finally concludes here. Suspense, drama, heartache, loyalty, devotion, and romance all blend together in this remarkable conclusion to a royal romance that evokes compassion, anguish, and elation from the reader.
I wish I could go into specific detail about what actually happens in this book, but that would completely ruin it for all the readers that haven’t been introduced to these fabulous royals. But what I will say about Jessa and Roone is that they are absolutely perfect for one another. The both share a need and ambition to define themselves as more than what happened to them in their past. And as much as they want that, they each struggle with actually believing in themselves and others around them and accept that their pasts don’t define who they are deep inside. That the love and dedication to the people around them is also reflected back onto them.
Through all the twists and turns, the exciting ups and inevitable downs, and the secrets and lies, unconditional love and support is found, even through the darkest of times.
The Royal United Duet was undoubted intriguing and exciting to read! The romance was sizzling, the characters were 100% unique, and the story line was flawlessly written. Please, PLEASE pick up this duet. Better yet, start off with Sebastian’s story in the Royals Undercover Duet, then onto Lucas’ tale in the Royals Undone Duet. These books do not disappoint!!
5 Stars!
Teasing the Princess is awesome, spectacular, exceptional; the list could go on…..
As Roone is left lying unconscious, Jessa races to discover the truth to her past. But with so many secrets revealed, truths unlearned, and images shattered; you wonder if she will be able to make sense of it all.
A phenomenal ending to Jessa and Roone’s story; and, an intriguing peek into what will come next to the Winston Isles.
I read an ARC of Teasing the Princess and willingly left this honest review.
I loved Roone’s and Jessa’s story. This book picks up where book one left off. I love these characters and all the rest of the royal family that reappear in this this book too. Nana Malone has quickly became one of my go to authors. I am never disappointed with her books. This one had me hooked from start to finish.

Teasing the Princess by Nana Malone is a great read. This is the 4th book that I have read by this author and she doesn’t disappoint her readers. This is the 2nd book in her Royal United Series. I will definitely be reading more by this author. I couldn’t put my kindle down!
Teasing the Princess picks up where Royal Tease left off. Jessa escapes from Roone because she feels like he is the enemy that her father was constantly warning her about. Ariel finds Roone unconscious because Jessa shot him with a tranquilizer dart. From here the adventure begins with Roone trying to find his love Jessa the missing princess.
Do Roone find his fair princess Jessa? Do Jessa and Roone give in to the chemistry that is strong between them? Finally does the couple have their happily ever after? You will have to read Teasing the Princess by Nana Malone to find out!
Nana Malone gives you what you want in a romance novel. Teasing the Princess has plenty of romance, sex, love, and suspense. This book was also fast paced and it kept me in suspense. So make sure you read Teasing the Princess.
You will love reading this second book to this duet series. I know that I sure have and cant wait to read more from Malone either. The story continues in this book and you won’t be able to wit till you reach the end. The bodyguard has to keep his heart hidden and protected from the fearless princess that he is suppose to be protecting.
The story starts with a BANG! The story picks up where Royal Tease left off and just keeps on rolling! Jessa has her whole life changed. Roone is desperate to protect her. The story is a great end to the Royals series. The book was full twists and surprises. The story was a fast paced read. I am anxiously looking forward to Ariel’s story. I received an advance copy for an honest review.
An exciting conclusion to Roone and Jessa’s story. I loved watching this story of royal intrigue unfold as Roone and Jessa’s lives and love come together. We are finally given a more indepth history of the royal conspiracy that has been the theme throughout this series. Team Winston Isles (our own personal “Scoobies”) shows the power of a family coming together. I also loved seeing a bit more of Ariel’s background and am looking forward to her story in the future. A definite 5 star conclusion you shouldn’t miss.
I really enjoyed Roone & Jessa’s book. I have been a Roone fan since Sebastian & Penny. He has always been such an intriguing character to me with some mystery mixed in. I absolutely adore the comradery between this groups of characters!
Cliffhangers aren’t my favorite thing but when you know the next installment is coming soon, you reread the first one so that you can start the new one as soon as you get it! That’s what you had better do with this one, it is so dang good!
Jessa is the long lost princess that we all knew would be found eventually. Roone has been assigned the task of keeping her safe, but when she finds out who he really is, she runs just like she’s been taught by her father. He was so paranoid that he made sure she had a ‘go bag’ ready at all times with the understanding that nothing was important if you couldn’t carry it.
This character is tough, smart, and not going to take any crap from a guy who lied to her. He’s always wanted to come clean but couldn’t defy her brother, the king. He also wasn’t supposed to sleep with her but what’s done is done. And now he’s got to find her, make her listen to him, and find out who is trying to hurt the royal family. Simple job.
Fast paced, emotional, hot and steamy, yet you know that somehow and some way there will be the HEA. You just haven’t quite figured it out until it happens!
