Pepper Winters never ceases to satisfy. She has a way of making you question your feelings for the antagonist, and “Tears of Tess” is no exception. Great “Page Turner”, leaving you breathless and wanting more! Always more!!
A very dark story about Tess who was kidnapped and sent to the richest man’s house. But she didn’t know that this man can change her life. Q is a man who is mysterious and very dangerous, but Tess doesn’t know what secrets he hides. Some scenes that I read in this book shocked me to the core and I was dumbfounded. However, it didn’t change my …
This is a very enjoyable read and the storyline is quite immersive. I loved the characters relationships with each other and quickly found that I couldn’t put it down. There were a few bits I had to re-read personally at the start but I soon found that I was getting to grips with it more as I went on. I love how strong the characters are and am …
Tears of Tess, Monsters in the Dark #1, by Pepper Winters.
This was a new to me author and I am so glad I read this book! This book had me pulled in from page one. I did not want to put it down, I had to keep reading until the end. There were parts that were difficult to read through due to some dark situations but I knew I had to get through …
*trigger warning*
This was my first book by Pepper and won’t be my last. Very interesting dark story that kept me captivated. Both characters were strong and damaged but fit each other perfectly. I’m interested to see what’s in store for them next.
Dark and twisted, but the raw tension and fight for survival makes this a great read.
Pepper Winters knows how to write depraved deliciousness the best, and she tugs at your heartstrings with them through the whole book, and I mean every single word. I devoured this book in one sitting, and I can’t wait to finish Tess and Q’s tale. OH MY GOD it is everything.
This book has completely ruined me for all other dark reads. I couldn’t get enough. I didn’t want it to end. Thankfully the rest of the series is out and I can’t get my Q fix. From start to finish this book held on to me and didn’t want to let me go. Let’s be honest here, I didn’t want to be let go either.
I devoured this book in one day. I have had it on my list and I’m so glad I chose it. Tess is amazing and strong. Q is perfectly tormented. I love that he is secretly doing amazing things to right the wrongs.
I think I have to accept that dark romance isn’t really for me. I think I like them, but then I get all panty-twisted about stuff like the logic and the real hard morality of it—and without the cushion of a fantasy or paranormal or sci fi setting, I can’t really embrace the darkness without it hitting too close to home for me.
Tears of Tess is a book that I have been wanting to read for quite some time. In fact, it has been on my kindle for almost three years and right now I’m questioning my sanity as to why I left it so long to read this story.
I must admit that having already read a couple of Pepper Winters’ other dark romance series I was wondering if this one would …
Oh my heart! This book hurt. It broke me. It also had me squirming in my seat and blushing. I loved every single word. Q and Tess were perfect for each other. I loved watching both characters develop. I can’t wait for more from this world.
Tess Snow was content, yet stifled. Then she was kidnapped, sold, and set blissfully free.
I’m not a big fan of re-reading books. I figure once is enough. I either hated it or loved it and diving in again isn’t going to change anything. And then I realized that I never reviewed Tears of Tess and decided if ever there were books I would re-read, …
4.5 stars. Loved this dark romance.
This series has been on my TBR for so long. I’m so glad I finally made the time. I LOVED Tears of Tess. It’s everything I imagined and more. Q is absolutely perfect. I’m so glad I can jump right into book two!
This book was crazy! It was dominating with triggers! But it was hot and very well written! Pepper Winters is one of my most favorite authors. She brings it every single time!
A damn good story…
Not slow, but slower build to very high crescendo
I could not put this book down until I was finished with it. Great read.
I give this 5’s because it surprised me. It pulled me and gave me emotions I don’t normally feel with my reads. I felt my face cringe and open while unable to tear my eyes from the page.
The characters weren’t perfect but the story being told was good! I was touched.
