She has one rule: Never sleep with someone twice.Faith Hitchin wears the shadows of the past on her skin for all to see. To a stranger’s eye she is a girl with sass and tattoos, a lover of art. But beneath the mystery of swirls and ink she is woman alone and in pain. When opportunity knocks in the form of an invitation to an art project that could change the direction of her life, she’s afraid to … opportunity knocks in the form of an invitation to an art project that could change the direction of her life, she’s afraid to move forward. But, like her namesake, she pushes past all inhibitions and takes a leap of Faith. The last thing she imagines is a summer of self-discovery at the hands of a sexy Baroness’ son.
Elijah Fairclough is arrogant yet charming, complicated but forthcoming. With his blue eyes, expensive suits and evasive attitude, it seems he’s used to getting what he wants, and he wants nothing more than to discover the woman beneath the tattoos in every way possible. Will Elijah’s persistence make her break her only rule, or will there be tears of ink?
Tears of Ink is the first in a complete trilogy.
Binge read the series now.

I fell in love with the characters and the story itself as it progressed. I highly recommend that you check it out yourself.
Anna Bloom is a new author to me. I was not disappointed with this book. The storyline will have you hooked from the first page. And that ending!! OMG!!
Faith wears all her scars on her skin. She’s a one night only kind of girl, never doing second chances nor going back to a guy for more than one time. She’s a talented artist who’s on her way to making it big. When an opportunity presents itself shes a bit skittish but jumps in with both feet. When she meets Elijah they start off a bit rocky. The connection between them is there but will Faith allow it to progress.
Five inked stars! An extremely deep emotional read that will strip you completely bare…
Sweet baby Jesus! Have you ever read a book that consumed you so much that your heart and soul are still stuck in the story? Here I sit trying to calm the hard pounding inside my chest because what a wild, explosive, unique book I devoured with an intense bookish pleasure buzzing on my skin. Tears of Ink by Anna Bloom has all the things that I crave and want wrapped in a beautiful and sexy cover. It made me lose my mind and going crazy. What a book! Pure pulse-pounding pleasure. This is the first time I read anything from this author and wow! She blew me away. I’m uterlly seduced by her flawless and brilliant writing.
The pacing is fast. The plot is original and well developed. This book is a real page turner that will make you forget about the world around you. It consumes you from the beginning to the end; like a bonfire, it will burn you to ashes. The main characters are deeply passionate about many things especially for the love for art. Their story will be all smoke and mirrors with forbidden and passionate touches. My heart ached every time Faith. She made me feel all the emotions that were eating her soul (which she tried to hide): from her pain to her unconditional love. She is a strong heroine. Her tats only made her more beautiful and her sass made her real and unique. Her hands create beauty and her emotions are poured in her art. She is a broken princess that doesn’t need to be fixed but be loved…
I have to confess that I had an insane hate/love relationship for the hero, aka Elijah. His cold and hot act made my head spin. He was sweet and caring and then he was distant and cold. I had a hard time trying to figure out his true self. He is a complex man. He is sophisticated and part of the aristocracy. He is trapped in two worlds: one where he does as expected and the other where he does what he really loves. His world will be shaken by a stunning tattooed girl. The connection between those two is amazing to read. Elijah also have a fixer complex so everything will be an unexpected and bittersweet journey full of turns and twists that will have you glued to your seat.
Faith and Elijah are the epitome of opposites attract, but complement each other in ways that neither of them ever expected. Their story is one of those “it hurts so good” love stories. The chemistry between them is electric, and no matter how much Faith resisted she stood no chance keeping her heart from Elijah because how can you resist a misterious, sexy AF and caring knight in shining armour?
In my opinion this book should be labeled as an “instant gratification guaranteed read” because it is sinfully beautiful and it will be all you need! The delicious sexual tension, the angst, the brokeness and the discovery of forgeing feelings that bled through the book, the taste of forbidden I read it greedily. Tears of Ink is not a simply book – it is a journey of shinning after breaking, of pain and ink, of shadows and light, of realization and recovery, of rules and dreams. It just has the right elements that make this book impossibly perfect.
Lies. Liars. Why? Why the lie? I mean I am upfront with my rules and how I am why all the lies? Man up!! I’m here surrounded by liars. I closed my heart off and set up my rules for a reason. I refuse to let a man lie to me and break me ever again. I screwed up. I broke my rules. This coming of age story for this young artist running from life and right into the arms of trouble. Plenty of behind closed door stuff going on along with mud slinging. It’s a wonderful read. This author does well with setting up the story and giving us enough where we are all in. She grabs you from the start and keeps you tuned in to the story and lives, does she stay, will he leave, will she succeed, will he stand. . . . is there a happy ending? Well not this time, yes it is a cliff hanger and yeah it changes everything. Unfortunately since they are only characters (heaven forbid) there will be no reactivating of the old practice of tar and feathering. I haven’t read this author before but I am so glad I found her now. Can’t wait for more of this story.
At the meeting she wasn’t prepared for it to be with the baronesses, son and she wasn’t prepared for he’s eyes or how beautiful he is, but it gets cut short with them not getting along, but she can’t get him out of her mind.
Finally getting to Bowsley Hall, Faith puts aside what see thinks about Eli remembering he’s engaged, and focuses on meeting his mother and learns, that Eli just wants the local kids involved in art.
After helping her home after too much to drink, she asks Eli to stay, Eli has rules, and he won’t sleep with her but wants her to trust him, and he wants to set her free, saying she can’t let go Eli makes sure she does, twice and then she breaks the rules falling asleep with him.
Can Faith finally let go of her past and break all her rules for Eli or will his family get their way and have Eli do what they want in the best interests of the family.
Ends in a cliff hanger.
It is a great storyline that draws you into the story and characters with enough steam to keep you turning pages that leaves you wanting more makes a great read.
Stunning cover, it made me want to look inside and I’m so glad I did. Sometimes you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, just as you shouldn’t judge a person by their looks and a family by appearances – something to remember whilst reading Tears of Ink, because it’s stunning in multiple definitions!
Talented artist Faith hides her pain with a solid wall around her heart, a story on her skin and a set of rules – lightening never strikes twice: never sleep with anyone more than once, don’t go back, don’t let anyone in. She has trust issues and it’s the only way she knows to keep herself safe. When an opportunity to create an art installation at an old manor house comes her way, she meets Elijah. They are from totally different backgrounds, but despite her rules, Eli starts to weave his way inside her barriers from the start and the closer they get, the more all their rules bend and break. She awakens hopes Eli never dreamed he could have. But will he protect and heal her as he promises, despite the fact it’s only meant to be a summer fling? Can she trust the beautiful man who does so much to help others, is she really safe?
On the face of it, Elijah Fairclough has it all, good looks, prestigious career, a family with wealth and status, but when you see through the polish and veneer, the Faircloughs are as cracked and messed up as it gets. Appearances are everything, but sometimes they can be deceiving, as it seems can words……
Oh my… what an ending to a beautifully written book. It was an absolute jaw dropping wtf moment, that left me reeling and desperately wanting, no needing book two to find out how on earth shattered dreams can be made whole. Wonderful story, that built and grew throughout, full of heart, emotion and some sexy, hot scenes. 5 stars, can’t wait to read more!
This is the first book I have read from Anna and it most definitely will not be my last this was a really good emotional read. The storyline was good and I was pulled right in it was well-written with great characters this is a great read and I would recommend it I cannot wait for the next
It is a romance story that is really emotional and hard not to put down. It ends on a cliffhanger. Strong intriguing characters. It’s pleasure to read this book.
After that dark roller coaster ride through a summer in Faith’s life, I’m so anxiously excited for Tears of Glass. This was such a great read!
My emotions are all over the place. I just can’t comprehend everything that happened in this book.
I’m fairly sure not everything is as it seems right now but, oh boy! Why does it have to be so painful for a woman who has already been through so much in her life?
Tears of Ink by Anna Bloom was a well written very emotional story with multilayered characters.
As much as I hate cliffhangers I must admit Faith and Eli’s story is much more than only one volume. The only thing I can do now is wait for the next book to find out what will happen. I’m equally eager and scared though. I just simply don’t know whether there is any chance to come back from this heartbreak. So I put my faith in the author and hope for the best.
That ending!!!! Like what?!?!?!
Read this, just do it. At first it was a little slow but the back story was needed. I could not put this down after about half way through. It sucked up a whole day. I need more. The ending was a cliffy if you can’t already tell.
Shattered
Stunned – shattered
I’m really not sure how to process what just happened – to say my heart is pounding and I am a bit shocked at the turn of events would almost be an understatement
I honestly need a moment to process
On my tablet full review to follow
Tears of Ink is a captivating, page turner that sucked me in from the start. Eli and Faith are complete opposites but they are so perfect together. This is a beautiful, emotional, well written story with interesting characters and twists you won’t see coming. I can’t wait to read the second book in this duet.
I’m not a big fan of British Books…they just lose something in the translation. I also had a hard time connecting with the female MC Faith. Oh and this book is also the first in a series so there is a bit of a cliffhanger. But even with all that I LOVED it. It is such a great read with the a rich story line and very interesting characters. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for book two!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is an emotional roller coaster read which I really enjoyed. I really liked Faith and Eli! What an incredible journey and story. It’s one heck of a page turner with a huge cliffhanger ending.
Usually it’s the lines on our face that tell the journey of our life. In this amazing book, the author choose to portray the main character’s journey by her tattoos. Unfortunately for her, the tattoos are reminders that life is full of good and bad – some are really bad. I loved their chemistry and the ending broke me. I had my suspicions so when the author made me feel like I was on the journey with her, I was left stunned at the ending and yet salivating for more. A beautifully written, mesmerizing tale. I cannot wait to read the next book.
This is the first time for me reading this author with her cover first drawing me to take a closer look. Once inside I kept on going because I was following Faith and what she was going to accomplish thanks to the intrigue that grabs you on what she does. Her story weaves around you hooking into you as you go along. Elijah then does his stuff and takes his place with now him needing to now more about Faith. It at first starts slow but it is like any thing that promises perfection it is a slow boil but doesn’t let go. To my dismay though I find out this is not a stand alone but I still read it anyways.
5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review
I’m new to Anna Bloom, but let me just say…she has a new fan! I loved everything about this story. Eli and Faith are everything I didn’t know I wanted and more. These two are total opposites, but it works. And I think it works because they have layers of insecurities. While they might not be from the same world, they have the similar concerns and issues.
This book ends in a cliffhanger. I cannot wait for book two. I’m hoping and praying things go right for these two. That interference and life won’t get in the way of happiness. I loved everything about this book and I can’t wait to wee what’s to come.
First off lets talk about how gorgeous this cover is!! Absolutely stunning, my bff was the one that pointed it out and I took a second look and it is indeed very nice. Faith has rules about men, very simple; don’t get serious, don’t trust, and never a second night. When she met Elijah, at first she was annoyed and infuriated, but if she was honest, the blue of his eyes had captivated her. When she decides to take the offer Elijah’s family is extending; to create art in a different setting, she isn’t sure how this will work, but she hopes she can keep her distance. But when Eli makes her want to try and trust.. makes her crave more than just the regular one night and maybe even see more into a future, will he betray that trust? Will he be worth the effort in the end?
I must really be the odd man out, but it really took me awhile to get into this book. Like almost 60% and I was still struggling to read it, at about 70% I wanted to know what Faith’s deal was and why was she so annoying to me. By 90% I was more interested and wanting to see where this was going and BAM cliffy. This actually wasn’t really what I was expecting in this story, from the cover to the blurb, I guess I was expecting something a bit more gritty, instead this was about a girl who has trust issues (who doesn’t), paints in a castle and falls for a boy that is run by his mother. I was left very dissatisfied with this story, so I will give this 3 stars.
