O…M…G… What a book!! I’ve been dying to read this book since finishing Tears of Ink and it was sooo worth the wait!! I fell so hard for Eli and Faith in the first book and i fell even harder in this one!! So naturally Tears of Gold is gonna slay me and I’m anticipating that book just as much as this one!! I’ve never been so invested in a couple as i am with Eli and Faith!! Bravo to Anna Bloom on one heck of a series!! It will definitely go in my re-read pile thats for sure!!
Amazing! I start reading Anna Bloom’s books and always get drawn in and lose myself in whatever story I’m reading. The writing is beautiful, with wonderful characters that I feel I know. I love Faith and Elijah and their messed up lives, the other characters and the depth they add to this story – they all feel real. I loved Tears of Glass. I’ve been reading this in every spare moment I’ve had, and I can’t wait for the third book!
Tears of Glass is not a standalone and I highly recommend you read Tears of ink.
I love this author’s work, she keeps you on your toes with all the drama going on around the characters lives, bringing hate, jealousy, passion, lust, loss, grief and love.

3.5 Stars
Unlike book one where I felt Faith and Elijah’s chemistry was somewhat lacking, in Tears Of Glass the chemistry was so incredibly strong between the couple that I felt it was this chemistry that carried the entire book for me. The story seemed somewhat secondary to that.
Things kick off with Faith back in Brighton. She is adamant things are over between her and Elijah.
There was also some rather abrupt jumping between scenes – mid chapter, which made this a little confusing at times.
I really did enjoy this book, but it was definitely the sizzling chemistry that captivated me more.
This is the second book in the series and needs to be read after Tears of Ink. After the huge cliffhanger at the end of the first book, the author takes us on a journey where love and heartbreak is so close together. I really loved this book from beginning until end end. Definitely worth the read and there are so many things that happen that you just won’t see coming!
After leaving the ball heartbroken, there’s another loss that Faith has to deal with and it’s left her with nothing but heartache. She’s trying to cope in the only way she knows and just tries to take it one day at a time. But a lot is at stake and she’ll have to find a way to deal with the one family she desperately wants to stay away from. Although the heart knows what it wants, she and Elijah are on bad terms but he’ll do whatever it takes to win her heart back.
Will he succeed or will their pasts come in between their love once again?…
Sometimes it’s the little things we fail to see
“This isn’t about seconds. It’s about all the firsts.”
This ends on a bit of a twisty cliffhanger leaving me concerned as to what this will mean for the future of our couple. They have both lost enough and have overcome so many obstacles.
“I give him a small smile, but I can’t say I accept his apology. I don’t give second chances. Not to anyone.”
I will admit I was a bit upset with Faith though Eli probably could have handled things a whole lot better as well. Faith tries to come to terms with her past and what the future holds for her if she is only willing to let go and move forward. The question is can she find herself before she falls into despair? Will her choices and fears cost her Eli?
There are so many secrets revealed in Tears of Glass and I swear I was constantly on edge – At the turn of every chapter was a new hurdle or twist tossed into the story – Oh, and I think one of the OMG moments wasn’t an accident!
This is the second book in the series and it is NOT a standalone
I’m floored by the beauty of this story. Eli and Faith face so much, and fight so hard, just to be in each other’s arms. I love it.
After the cliffhanger at the end of Tears of Ink I have been waiting for this one, ready to see Eli redeem himself! He had to right? of course he did! I had an inkling about a horrible thing Faith would do and I was right, although I have been reassured by Anna Bloom that all will be made well in a future book.
Tears of Glass is a second chance book. Faith had started to grow and open up in the first book but now she’s starting to grow more. She’s not shutting people out once she’s over the pain, shes open to give them second chances. I loved watching her blossom but she did annoy me occasionally and I did want to shake her.
Whilst I started off hating Eli, plotting his painful demise, I fell back in love with him quickly. Yes I know I am fickle but he was totally swoon-worthy and he was so patient with Faith.
This is definitely my favourite series from Anna. She has given me characters I am addicted to and love, she had made me laugh, cry and swoon, (sometimes at the same time). The fact that this is based in London, at places I know I really felt a bond with it. I love London.
Again after the way this instalment has been left I am waiting eagerly for the next one. The ending completely shocked me, it wasn’t what I expected but this is what I love from Anna. She gives you great twists that shock you and leave you wanting more NOW!
Tears of Glass continues from Tears of Ink where we get to know more about Faith and Elijah’s relationship. We see the follow up of her broken heart caused by Elijah, but can he make her heart whole again or will she go back to her old ways? in the book I was able to see a growth in Faith. We learn more of her struggle with her past and the challenges she has to overcome in having to face her demons so that she can actually be free.
Elijah was someone I ended up being angry with in Tears of Ink. How could he betray Faith when she had broken all her rules and trusted him with her heart. Well that anger is no longer there as Anna gave use a new insight who is Elijah. I really was able to see a whole side of him that made me fall in love with him because he really is a caring and selfless person. He cares more about others and is willing to make a sacrifice of his happiness in order to help those he love.
Also in this story we get to see more of Tabitha and Lewis relationship and the challenges they have to face. I see the love they have for each other and the hardship they have to face. I hope we get to know more about them in the future. She also give us more insight of those who are surrounded by Faith and Elijah. Though her writing we know more about Dan, Abi, Gerald, and Peter just to name a few.
I was so engrossed in this book that it had me on a rollercoaster of emotions, and I highly recommend once you have read Tears of Ink. Anna really developed her story of Faith and Elijah that it has me rooting for they to get their happy ending, however Anna is good at making you think that your about to get your HEA then she drops a twist. So this book is left in a cliffhanger, but it is so worth reading. I am so excited there is more to come and I can’t want to continue to read about Faith and Elijah’s story in her next book from this series.
What a beautifully written, heart wrenching, twisting, emotional follow on to Tears of Ink this was (and another stunning cover). I loved it and felt the tears, anger and pain, their passion and love the whole way through.
After the shocking ending in the previous book, I needed answers. How shattered was Faith’s heart and soul? What the hell was Eli thinking, let alone doing? We all know how messed up his family is, but had he finally broken too? Eli has a long journey to repair what he broke, to try and get a second chance from a woman who trusts very few and doesn’t go back. It’s going to take a special man, but Eli has a huge heart and he’ll need every bit to earn forgiveness, not just from Faith but me too!
This book gripped me from the start, needing to know what came next. Sometimes I wanted to tear my hair out and shake Faith for some of the choices and decisions she makes, her refusal to stay and fight. But I get her, I really do and her reasons, but Elijah is a beautiful soul, truly a man worth fighting for, he’ll never give up on her, if only she can face and fight her past once and for all.
Anna Bloom and this series has been one of my top finds this year. These characters, Faith and Elijah have burrowed their way into my heart, not just each other’s and I can’t wait for the final book in this trilogy.
I highly recommend this book, although you need to start with book one – 5 stars
Faith is dealing with the death of Al, and she also knows after Elijah she broke her rule and he smashed her heart, but she lets Dan put a reminder on her body on the one untouched area she has left.
When Tabitha shows up at the shop, Faith is surprised, even more to find out Eli told her to come to her.
After learning that there was a lot of interest in her work since the Ball, Faith knows she has to return and the first meeting she learns that they have backers, but she didn’t expect to see Eli, and lets him know why she can never trust him again.
Finding out that Eli isn’t engaged, one thing Faith knows, she has to find Eli, she doesn’t do seconds and he doesn’t do girlfriends.
Faith tries to convince herself that what she was told was true, while Eli wants the chance to explain, and Faith finds out that it wasn’t only the Faircloughs that were keeping them both from learning the truth.
Her rule is no second chances he broke her heart, but can she let him put it back together again. Can they both work through their issues, with her past and his family.
Family! Can’t live with them and can’t kill them. His family. His legacy. Their rules. Their lifestyle. This author doesn’t make it easy and these two are in for a battle. Well if she stops running and will fight for him. These two have his world against them and her world benefiting from her outburst. Was it for real? Was any of it for real? As the truth unfolds and what was done in the dark is revealed in all it’s glory this author plays us major league style. I thought the first book of the trilogy was intense but this one stepped it up even more. I love this authors style and you will not be disappointed. She has definitely made me a fan cause I am hooked on her characters and the way she brings them together. The way she breaks them down and interlocks them and the reader is well done.
Tears of Glass is the second book in the Tears of…series by Anna Bloom. You must be read Tears of Ink first or you will be missing a big piece of Elijah and Faith’s story. Tears of Glass picks up three weeks later. I don’t want to spoil anything so I will make this quick.
Faith has her rules. She already broke one when it came to Elijah. It shattered her heart. She doesn’t know if she could break another rule for a man who broke her heart. A man who belongs in a totally different world than her. A man who covers his body in a suit while she covers hers in ink. A man who has two different sides. A man who could destroy her. For good.
I am loving this series. It’s heartfelt, sexy, and addicting. Faith is a badass with a huge wall surrounding her. Elijah is a determined man to break it down.
Overall…it’s one hell of a rollercoaster ride of emotions, passion, and love.
Quotes:
“At some point soon, you are going to stop labelling yourself as broken and own everything that’s happened.”
“I was brought up to not believe in things like dreams.”
“Big bro?” He laughs, and it sounds delightful. “How terribly street of you. Don’t speak like that in front of Gran otherwise she’ll have you locked up in the attic.”
After reading the ending to Tears of Ink I was seriously wondering how Eli was going to redeem himself. That and I was so concerned about Faith! I have to say, I fell even more in love with Eli as the story progresses. Not only did he redeem himself but he went above and beyond to prove his love to Faith. I also grew to love Faith even more. The wall around her heart slowly fell and she started letting people in. What I didn’t like was Dan. I originally liked him in Tears of Ink but I lost that love in this story. I also LOATH Faith’s dad. That man is horrible! This book was everything when it came to the growth of Eli and Faith. It shows how love can grow and how people can overcome all the pain and horror of their past with love from the right person. Not to mention that ending AGAIN!! I’m looking forward to Tears of Gold and Eli and Faith’s HEA!! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review*
Second book in what appears to be a trilogy, definitely read the first one before trying this one or you will be quite lost with both the characters and the storyline!
I struggle with Faith – always have. She’s just a very frustrating personality, follows almost no rational line of thinking and just is so unbelievably dense sometimes. Many of these qualities also make her quite endearing, but often just leave you wanting to shake her. Eli is no different – just speak to one another before making crazy decisions! But at the end of the day their story is compelling, their chemistry off the charts and I am always left wanting to know where their love story is headed and whether or not the will get their happily ever after.
A new, different feeling romance if you are looking for new authors for your list!
