Katie is getting ready to Open Tealicious in Victoria Square.
Nona Fiske has been going around to the merchants and telling lies about Katie. Why would she try to hurt Katie? Anger? Jealousy? Will the other merchants believe Nona’s lies?
A story about compassion, friends and how to deal with nasty lies in a kinder way.
I received an ARC prior to publication and decided to voluntarily review it. Opinions expressed are my own.
With the grand opening of Tealious just days away, Katie Bonner believes she has everything in order. Nona Fiske decides this is the perfect time to get her revenge on Katie for things Nona believes Katie took away from her. Nona doesn’t waste any time spreading lies, rumors, and innuendos about Katie and her plans for Tealious. How can Katie deal with Nona?
I enjoyed this novella. This is a wonderful book about compassion and dealing with someone who holds a grudge against you. I like the way Katie handled the situation with Nona. Katie shows a lot of class and maturity. This is a great companion to the Victoria Squares Mysteries series.
I received a copy of this book at my request, and I have voluntarily left this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own and in no way have been influenced.
Fun read that brings more in depth information into the characters. Loved it!
Good little story. No big mystery like the other books, but it is nice to have a side story about the preping of thr tea shop. I always enjoy a little novella in between books to fill in gaps with details we wouldn’t get in the main books. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
Katie is getting ready to relaunch the tea shop she recently purchased and has used as many local vendors when it comes to stocking her shelves. She’s excited to have them all attend a pre-opening party so that they can all get a look at what she has accomplished in such a short time. While finishing up on all the last minute details she soon learns that there is someone who isn’t at all happy for her. Throughout the day of the party vendor after vendor calls Katie to let her know someone is spreading vile gossip about her. Once she learns who the culprit is she hatches a plan to end the gossip in a creative way. Can Katie end the gossip and throw a party that will go off without a hitch? This was a fun short that gave you a first look into Katie’s new tea shop and all that it will offer when it opens. I enjoy these mini stories that are put inbetween the full length books because they give you the opportunity to keep up with favored characters.
Kate is hoping that her new endeavor of Tealicious on Victoria Square will prove to be a success…not only for her but for all the other merchants as well. But there is one merchant who seems determined to spoil this moment for her. The timeless question of how do you handle a sworn enemy. A quick enjoyable read that gives you more insight into some of the characters in this series with just a hint as to what may lie in the future!
