He’s going to make me break my number one rule. And possibly lose my job.How dare he?It’s pretty simple, though. Don’t date students.Which is normally easy to stick to. Who wants to date an eighteen-year-old boy?Not me. I much prefer an older man with rough hands that knows what he’s doing.Enter Mr. Evans.A single father billionaire with more time on his plate than he knows what to do with. And the … with more time on his plate than he knows what to do with.
And the man is brilliant and wickedly delicious.
Much to my surprise, he’s quickly becoming my star pupil, which means he gets more of my time than necessary.
But I can’t help myself.
He’s exactly what I need in my life, in my bed, kissing me at the stroke of midnight…
And the best is even though he’s older than me, he’s more than willing to let me teach him a few new tricks.
Let’s just hope we don’t get caught.

This book has all the feels. Taking on life, love, loss, and starting over, along with all the trials and tribulations that come with those, it’s a bit of an emotional roller-coaster. I admit it, there were several times I got all choked up and misty eyed. I enjoyed watching as Christopher learned to live again and Leila learned to live a little, together. Though, the pair of them frustrated the daylights out of me when they were being all wishy-washy about whether or not they could be a couple. For my personal preference, I think there’s more book here than the story really needed to do justice to what it was trying to tell, but it’s a heck of a ride to take.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
A wonderful tale about finding love wonderful tale about finding love
Leila, a Greek Mythology professor, meets Christopher, a recent widower and young retiree, in her mini-mester class where he is a student. As the story progresses attraction strikes, doubt rules, and a moment thought private could ruin it all. Ali Parker’s Teach Me New Tricks is a wonderful tale about finding love after tragedy, the rocky road of life, and new beginnings. The way she led them through the highs and lows drew me in from the start.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Great book by Ali. She writes great books and even when you know there will be turmoil. This one made my laugh, cry and just love the characters. Absolutely recommend.

Leila is a Professor at a university in Texas and she has worked very hard to achieve that position. AT the moment she does not have tenure but her classes are very popular. Especially her Greek Mythology mini mester which is where she meets Christopher. He is a very wealthy widower with a rather angry 16 year old son who is still mourning the unexpected death of his mum the previous year in a car accident. Christopher has moved them across country from Minnesota to have a fresh start as Olin, his son, was having trouble at school that were becoming a serious problem and ,also, because everywhere he looked he was reminded of his late wife. He is way too young to just play golf and fish all day since he retired very early at 44 years old so he decides to take a course at uni that might help him with his beliefs that there is more to our existence than just ‘this life’ on Earth. He may not get all those answers but he meets Leila and he suddenly realises that there is ‘life’ after such severe pain and loss. But staff and students are not allowed to date. There has already been a scandal and the Dean has warned Leila that the uni could not stand any more. But what about her feelings for Christopher and his for her? They are just so good together and Ali Parker, best selling author, makes them ‘come alive’ on the pages of my kindle and it’s almost as if I can see them in my minds eye. Very realistic and charismatic and the banter is just so witty and steamy! Definitely steamy! Have your fans and/or air con set to MAX COOL as you’re going to need it. But why is Alan really there? Something else is going on at the uni, but who/what is it and who will lose their job? A very readable storyline that is engaging and riveting such that you won’t want to put it down. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED [P.S. The ending is wonderful]
When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I can not wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

This is a well written book with strong, well developed characters and an interesting and emotional story line. It’s the heartfelt story with Christopher,a widower and his sixteen year old son trying to move forward after their grief and pain of loosing his wife and Olin’s mother in a tragic accident. It’s also a story with Leila,a professor at the college he takes a course at with her as his teacher. There’s so much happening , so many emotions , so much anxiety , drama , conflicts and pain coming through the pages. The author does a fantastic job bringing the story to life with her vividly painted scenes. She gives them an instant attraction , sizzling passion and a hot and steamy romance. It’s told in the dual POV , showing both of their struggles and the depth of their feelings. The supporting characters help to bring the story around. It’s a true to life scenario and I enjoyed reading and would highly recommend.

A great billionaire romance. I loved the world that was created and all the characters. I couldn’t put it down.
I loved Christopher and Leila’s story. They were so likable and their chemistry was explosive. He’s a widower going through a rough patch with his son so they decide to start over in Texas. He retired early after selling his successful real estate business. He meets Leila when he takes a thre e week college course that she teaches. Their attraction is strong but there is a no dating rule between professors and students. The story is well written with strong, well defined characters. The story is long and probably could have accomplished the same with fewer chapters, but over all it was an entertaining story.
Teach Me New Tricks by Ali Parker great story that I have read and I really enjoyed this story. I recommend this story.

Ali Parker’s Teach Me New Tricks…. Swoon!! A captivating and intriguing story. Leila, a professor of Greek Mythology and Christopher, a real estate investor become entwined when he takes her three week class. There is instant attraction but the no student/teacher makes it for a challenging matter plus throw in all the drama and you won’t be able to put it down. By all means grab this one quick.

The storyline was great and the wonderfully written characters pulled me right into their story from the very first page! The immediate attraction and chemistry between Leila and Christopher made this book well worth the read!
Teach Me New Tricks is a well written older man/younger woman romance story with instant attraction, great banter, drama, twists, tragedy, and steamy scenes. Although it took me several chapters before I got into the story, I did enjoy this book. My only complaint about this book, is that the story just seemed to take forever to get through. With more than 60+ chapters, I think the story could have been told in half the amount of chapters.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Leila and Christopher are amazing characters. He is a single father who had tragedy strike him and his son hard and when he moved to Texas he thinks he will be able to pick the pieces and go on. He signs up to a three week class and meets his teacher Leila. She also had it rough and by sheer determination and struggle she made something of herself. He is captivated by her, but she can’t date a student – this is an entertaining conundrum to be into. Entertaining, heartfelt story that I honestly volunteered to review.
I really enjoyed this story from the start. It shows how hard it is to overcome past hurts to move forward with life. Both the main characters have very different past hurts that they still carry with them. Together they slowly work through to come out the other side with each other. A great story that anyone can relate to from either side. I would recommend this book to anyone. It should be right there on your bookshelf or e-reader.
Christopher and Leila will have you reliving your school experiences in this charming story. Christopher is a single father with a teenage son. They have hit a rough patch and he can’t seem to reach his son moving to Texas was supposed to be a fresh start for the both of them. When Christopher signs up for a class he wasn’t expecting the professor to be as captivating as she was and definitely not some one that would stir his blood. Leila is a dedicated professor who takes pride in her job. Dating a student can lead to destructive ends and Christopher is definitely trouble because she is attracted to him and if word got out about the two she could lose her job. Do they take the risk for their hearts desire and will this lead to a happily ever after? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
