This is no boring librarian shushing people from behind a desk. This librarian corrals rogue magic. But more importantly, she has a frog and a cat, and she’s not afraid to use them!I knew when I woke up with a migraine that things were going to get interesting. As a magical artifact wrangler, it’s not an unusual way to start my day. But I had no idea how bad it was going to get. Until I found a … going to get.
Until I found a frog sitting in my teacup.
Even that, I could explain to myself if I had to. After all, I have a creative mind. But when the frog started talking to me, yeah, I was pretty sure I’d taken the wrong kind of pill that morning for my headache.
If only I’d realized then what I know now. The talking frog was just the beginning of my problems. And quite a beginning it was!

This book was just as good if not better than Unbaked Croakies. Naida is still learning to be the Keeper of Artifacts and has increased her knowledge of magic slightly but still needs help from her friends Lea and Sebille to keep the Universe safe. This is a fun, cozy page turner that is highly entertaining.
This book is fun to read, love the characters the secrets and it is paranormal
Naida’s day starts with another migraine in Tea & Croakies! Soon she finds a frog in her teacup! As Keeper of the Artifacts, only artifacts should come to her. Mr. Slimy is not an artifact. What has the Universe come to? There is quite an adventure with help from all sorts of other magical beings since Naida’s magic is not too powerful. This is an interesting adventure that I could not put down.
Very entertaining
Read this on my NOOK – what a fun read. The characters work will together. I’m looking forward to reading the rest in the series and Sam’s other series’.
If you are looking for a book that is steeped in magic, then Tea & Croakies is a good selection. This book deals with supernormal beings and takes you on a ride through different magical communities and dimensions.
Naida, the main character, is a sorceress, (which in this book) isn’t the same as a witch, and her powers are limited to her magical legacy. Her gift, in particular, focuses on protecting magical artifacts and helping “rescue” them. The thing that is great about Nadia is that she’s strong and determined, and who definitely marches to the beat of her own drum. She is funny, slightly quirky, and detests being told what to do. Also, her interactions with her friends make the story even better, and her character more relatable.
The thing that makes this story fun to read is the storyline itself. The premise of solving the mystery of the artifacts needing to be saved is unique, and it allows for many different arcs to be introduced. This book delves into a more complex story than just solving a mystery; it takes you on a journey of magic, dark magic, potential love interests, and friendship. It has a lot of elements that make it engaging, and this book is the start of an interesting series. I felt like it leaves you with enough questions to make you want more, but provides enough answers to leave you satisfied—for now.
Overall, I enjoyed the story, and will be interested to see where Nadia’s adventures take her.
This is a fun book to read.. Naida owns a magical artifact shop that also has a book store..and she is a witch.! Her powers have just come to her ..like…bam.and she is learning how to use them. Her shop assistant, Sebille, is a crabby sprite. Naida is also known as the keeper of the artifacts. She has a cat as her familiar, named Mr. Wicked. He is a pushy one at that. Then she ends up with as she calls them “disgustingly slimy” frog, Mr.Slimy. There is a magical chair that pinches your but if you sit in it lol. There are a lot of fun characters, human and non human alike in this story. I had a good time reading this story and looking forward to the next book.
Naida is the new KoA (Keeper of the Artifacts) and her day starts out with a migraine and a frog who winds up being something more. Naida and her assistant Sebille, must go after an artifact that’s in the hands of the wrong people. The artifact will take the magical essence out of people and transfer their soul into a creature, in this case, a frog. The family of witches who has it is using dark magic and must be stopped. Maida and Sebille are joined by Sebille’s family of faeries, and other witches to stop the family before it’s too late.
This book was well-written with well-rounded characters you either like or dislike. This story is cute and easy to read. I was pulled into this world from the beginning and was hooked through the end. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
This was the first book by this author I’ve read but it will not be my last. She took me with her on a magical adventure and left me smiling at the end. I could not out this book down until I finished it. Now, on to Book 2 for additional fun.
Tea & Croakies by Sam Cheever is a wonderful story to read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I have loved reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and cozy mysteries in their stories.

This was a fun read and a nice start to a new paranormal mystery series with a quirky (TV show) “Warehouse 13” vibe to it. The descriptions make it easy to visualize the world Naida, the untrained Keeper of Artifacts, lives in, and the pacing kept the story interesting through to the end. I look forward to the next book in the series.

This is my first time reading anything by this author and it was an absolute delightful story to read. I loved the lighthearted manner that the author presented her story. The humor made this a fun enjoyable page turner mystery story.

Naida thought her life would be boring, like a librarian, until a frog in her teacup and a mysterious “Book of Blank Pages” raise a ruckus in her life. Not only hers but her friends also. They counter life and death situations and try to reverse a spell on a person. Things get pretty magical and crazy. A nice story for those who like witches and things like that. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This was such a funny story to read. I loved the animals that are in it. I laughed most of the way through it.

Niala is the keeper of magical books and artefacts. One day she suddenly finds a magic book with blank pages in her shop. It pops up at the most unexpected places – and then a frog appears and she really does not like frogs. With that her adventure begins – looking for an artefact that removes the essence of a human, rescuing animals and making herself enemy Number 1 to the strongest – and most wicked – witch family in the area.
A good story with lots of funny aspects with a touch of thrill and mystery. An enjoyable blend.

Really enjoyed this , hope it is the start of another series. An intriguing mystery involving Naida searching for an artefact that the Quilleran family want for their own dark purposes. Like the tie in with the Reluctant Familiar Mysteries with LA and Deg aiding Naida find the answers they need. Love the sprites, would love to know more of them.

I love Sam Cheever’s books. This one is no exception. The characters are fun and engaging. Mr. Wicked is one smart, magical kitty too. And I love SB, the parrot that’s attached to Blackbeard’s sword. What a bleeping potty mouth! I was a little confused on some of the explanations as to what was going on. I’m hoping as I read more of the series I’ll understand things better.

Sam Cheever’s done it again, another action packed magical mystery in Tea and Croakies. Ms. Cheever’s vivid descriptions of people, places and the unexplainable has you feeling like you are right alongside our heroes.
This story warms up with a magical disturbance, a migraine and then hits the floor running; fast paced and action packed, the story twists and turns until the last page. Naida is the Keeper of Artifacts, an untrained Keeper. Her job is to keep these dangerous magical objects safe and out of the supernormal community. Being untrained, she kind of figures it out as she goes. Not the best way to operate, but with her witch friends, her sprite assistant and the fae nation, she gets it done. Her biggest problem is the Quilleran family of witches, mostly bad, black witches, but not all. The youngest Quilleran, Maude, actually paid Naida for helping her out, with a kitten, Mr Wicked. For some reason the family keeps trying to get the kitten back and not too politely. Now it appears there is something about a frog they think she has. They are demanding she give them the frog. Why would Naida have a frog? She can’t stand their slimy disgusting little bodies and the last one she touched gave her a horrible rash.
This story is filled with a variety of characters. We have a kitten that the Quilleran family wants back, a couple of frogs, sprites, witches and all kinds of magical artifacts. If you’re a fan of the Familiar Inc series, you’ll even get a little extra when LA and Deg offer a helping hand.
So get ready to follow some hilarious and scary adventures with Nadia and her friends as they try to find out what the Quilleran family is up to and stop them in this Five-star cosy paranormal mystery.

I really enjoyed this great start to a new series. I read this book in one sitting (except for a couple of short breaks) because I just couldn’t find a place to stop! It is so good, laugh out loud humor, and fun as the hilarity ensues in this well written, lighthearted cozy! As with Sam’s other book, you get a well-written story with twists and turns that make a mystery book into the kind you love. Grab this number one in the series, it is number one for sure!
As Keeper of the Artifacts, some things are just beyond Naida’s control. When an Artifact needs help, mysterious, sometimes, humorous events happen. Sam Cheever’s Enchanting Inquiries is off to a great start, and with a croak. I honestly recommend Tea and Croakies and will read the entire series.
