Not quite completed. But one wedding down and one in the near future and another not too far after that so romantic it is indeed. Enjoy reading stories
about different places and Madrona Island is an interesting place to live. But
Wish the author showed a little more continuity between chapters. A new
chapter seems to start before the current one is finished. Maybe the writer
needs experience. I’m 75 and I can hear my 7th grade teacher saying in my
English classroom that you need to connect the chapters better. These are
not very well connected.
Bland & formulaic
I enjoyed this boo.
I loved this book
I just couldn’t get interested int his book, so I didn’t finish it.
Entertaining story with likable characters and a setting that felt like somewhere I’d like to visit. I gave this book just 3 stars because it was too predictable for me. The main character’s challenges were worthy of more serious consideration than the writer chose to include. Auto-immune diseases are too common and can isolate the sufferers. Readers needed more explanation, or at least evidence within the story of how stress can adversely affect health. Only then would the main character’s flight from her high-flying, glamorous lifestyle make real sense.
I also didn’t buy some of her other worries. Why did the main character feel her family was such a liability? Why did she think her fiance could not be trusted with the truth? At the end of the book, I felt that her flight displayed a cowardice that deserved a more profound catharsis and growth story than the book provided.
You really love the characters and the scenery that’s depicted in this book. It’s an excellent read.
