I loved this series and Taz was a great progression from the beginning
OMG! This story has it all! Danger, undercover mission, drugs, cartel, murder, revenge, action packed, anger, mistrust, lust, sex and lies. What more would you expect from Andrea Smith’s G Man Series! It keeps getting better and more involved with each story! The banter between characters is real and awesome. It really makes it great when the narrators tell the story flawlessly!
Alexander Cendese and Samantha Martin are excellent storytellers! Wow, they really brought this story to life! Every emotion, every voice , every character was perfection! Thank you for the great listen! I was gifted this audio book and offered my honest review!
This was a great read. It was an emotional suspense, sit on the edge of your seat and wonder if it will all turn out ok. The story line and the characters were well thought out and written. I love this series and recommend it to all. I received it as a gift and this is my voluntary review.
Audio review
Samantha Martin and Alexander Cendese make a good job narrating this story. It has strong elements of a romantic thriller and succeeds in being an entertaining audio. Taz and Lindsey go through so much and the narrators succeed in capturing the tension and the love between these two.
This is book 4 in Smith’s G-Man series and while it can be read as a stand alone, the back ground and characters repeat – plus, they are just so good, why would you not want to read / listen to the whole series.
Just when all seems perfect…life couldn’t be better for Taz and his wife Lindsey until a mission changes everything. A really well written and dual narrated romance read where love wins. Incredible highs and lows in the lives of this couple – you realize that love, honesty and dedication can overcome unreal obstacles. The dual narration was beautifully done – I loved it and the story line was fast paced and addictive. I love the family man mixed with the alpha man – a lethal combination for any woman’s heart!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
*this review is based on the audio version of this read
Taz is book 4 in the G-Man series and can be read as a stand-alone, this is what I did. I enjoyed listening to the audio and felt the narrators did a great job. As mentioned above I have not read any of the others in the series and never felt out of the loop with anything happening. I enjoyed Lindsey and her strength. I felt she grew in her relationship with Taz and everything they went through. At first I found Taz a little crass but as the story goes on, I love how tough and straight to the point he is. It seems this couple as gone through hell once before and I’m glad they were able to survive and come out stronger.

There was so much packed into this audiobook, and the author delivered it flawlessly. I really enjoyed the narration, I haven’t listened to an audiobook that had duet narration before. The narrator’s were seamlessly in sync and I absolutely loved it. I haven’t read or listened to any of the previous books in this series. The author gave just enough back story of this couple to make this easily a standalone but I definitely want to go back to those books and read them. I was hopelessly lost in this story and I need more of this world ASAP! Absolute must listen!
I love this series. This book had a little of everything there was action, drama, and romance. This book had some unexpected turns and It definitely pulled on my heartstrings. I think this is by far my favorite book from this series.
Witty, fast paced and action packed!
In this quick book, we get typical Taz…snarky and bad@$$, yet loving with his family. Until his undercover assignment goes south and he’s suffering from amnesia. Meanwhile, Lindsey and her mom, Sammie, are working hard at their new interior design business but something is amiss with their newest client. Lots of action happening in this short book. You will be laughing, angered, sad, but never bored. Another win in this series.
Taz
By: Andrea Smith
Narrated by: Alexander Cendese, Samantha Martin
What happens when your husband is an FBI agent, goes undercover and doesn’t tell you? Lindsey is finding out when Taz goes missing. Thinking he is on a regular mission, to find out he now is hurt and has no recollection of her or their kids is devastating. And with knowledge only she is privy to makes their reunion far from happy. Taz is home now, slowly recovering, but what they don’t realize is the danger is still lurking. Andrea Smith writes the perfect mixture of alpha male, suspense and romance in her books. Taz is the man we all fantasize about. Good looking, loyal and willing to do what it takes, he is the perfect man. Lindsey is so easy to relate to. Not easy to forgive, but wanting to with all her heart, she makes us feel her pain, and the need to ease herself back into their life. Include the likes of Natalia and her evilness and Lindsey’s mom and Slate and we have an ensemble that creates a thrilling story.
The duet narration by Alexander Cendese and Samantha Martin enhances this story, adding warmth and passion into the horrific, suspenseful circumstances. Cendese is amazing, from the Russian accent to the easy going Taz, he finds the essence of the men and makes them seem real. Martin falls into character as Lindsey, adding the strength she needs with emotions. She turns around and becomes the nasty Natalia with such ease, it’s hard to believe it’s the same person! They made this listen fantastic!

A deeper look into Taz’s life and marriage in this one that breaks your heart and mends it back together. As with all the books in this series, this one is awesome. They leave you feeling complete and yet begging for more at the same time.
(audiobook) After listening to many slow paced narrations, I was a bit surprised by Alexander Cendese’s energetic performance. It gave a good idea of Taz’s personality. It was also a good choice to have a duet narration, as Samantha Martin is much calmer–it makes for a good contrast.
I enjoyed the fact that the characters were in an established relationship, but, due to the injury Taz sustained during his mission, they have to rediscover their love for each other. Not exactly original, but refreshing nonetheless.
There’s a lot of action here too. Coupled with the fast paced narration, you won’t get bored. The intimate scenes are fast too–don’t expect too much from them.
I enjoyed the characters and it made me want to read about the beginning of their relationship.
From the very beginning, it’s obvious that Taz is going to have a story unlike any other G-Man. His friend and superior in the Bureau, tells him his new assignment is going to be much more undercover and dangerous than almost anything he has done before. Slate can’t tell him just how long he’s going to be gone and it’s going to be a hard sell at home. He is going to have to be particularly vague when telling his wife, Lindsey, about any of the details. Assigned to infiltrate a cartel thought to be trafficking in particularly dangerous drugs with whispers of terrorist activity, it isn’t long before everything goes wrong. Taz is shot in a scuffle with Capri and Natalia, leaders of the cartel, and the bullet grazed his head, taking away his memory. But before he’s shot, he has the presence of mind to deliver a kick to the neck of Capri, killing her instantly. Natalia is bent on revenge, since that was the woman she loved. This is where I get uncomfortable and what happens between Taz and Talia next is a trigger for me. Perhaps it’s needed for the overall story, but I wish it could have been handled differently. When Taz returns to the United States without his memory, Lindsey is devastated to see her husband in this condition. Much worse are the videos she has received from Talia. Unable to so much as face her husband, she withdraws. With the help of a therapist, Taz and Lindsey try to get their marriage put together again. Their road back to each other is not an easy one and I felt heartsick for them through their struggles. But Natalia isn’t done with them quite yet. She has another identity and partner who are threatening Lindsey and her mother. Somehow, they have to alert Taz and Slate as to the life and death danger they’re in. There are many plot lines going on all at once and they’re nicely tied up at the end and with some major surprises! Andrea Smith wrote a wonderful ending , giving Taz and Lindsey another happily ever after.
I listened to the audio book version and Alexander Cendese and Samantha Martin did an exemplary job with the narration. Samantha gave the children perfect voices that made me smile each time I heard them.
audio review
This is a good audio with a fast moving story. Taz and Lindsey have a good life, which faces upheaval. Samantha Martin and Alexander Cendese narrated well, though the latter was a bit too “shouty'” for me at times. They both brought out the characters well and the audio was fun to listen to.
Loved this book. Loved these two characters. A loving, funny, beautiful marriage and family. Then Taz, a g-man has to go undercover…….everything’s changes. Very entertaining.
This is an audio review.
It is also more of a rant, an opinion, or observation than a review.
Taz has been one of my favorite G-men, from when he was first introduced in the series. He and Lindsey where a match made in heaven. So in my opinion this whole fiasco is Slates fault for putting Taz in a compromising situation in the first place. Having said that I can move on.
PS if you haven’t started this series it is well worth your time.
Alexander & Samantha did an excellent job narrating.
I loved it! The cover is beautiful. This is the fifth book in the G-Men Series, an amazing Romantic Suspense. Lindsey and Trace (Taz)’s story is suspenseful, action packed, sexy, and captivating, filled with twists and turns, lies, and secrets. Taz, an FBI agent, is alpha and sexy. Lindsey, an is a lovely woman, mom of two, smart, and independent. They share a sizzling and beautiful chemistry. The kids are cute! Alexander Cendese and Samantha Martin did a perfect and entertaining reading of this story. All characters were easy to distinguish. I enjoyed it. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I love the G-Man series, and I’ll let you in on a secret. This is my favourite so far. This is the story of Taz and Lindsey after their happy ever after, and sometimes I find the, after the HEA stories can be a little dull. Not this one. Taz most definitely keeps you on your toes. Action, suspense and deceit as Taz takes on an undercover assignment and leaves his family to fight for the greater good. Things don’t go as planned though, and when Taz finally finds his way back home, he has to fight to save his marriage. Talking of his marriage and his family, I just adored his children, so cute. Lots of twists and turns to keep you on your toes. Wonderful writing with perfect narration, in duet, from both Alexander Cendese and Samantha Martin.
Audiobook: The narrators did a great job! I also enjoyed the story. The love between Taz and Lindsey, as well as Slate and Sammy is very evident. The story is terrific! I haven’t read any of the previous books but that never once felt like an issue. Of course, now I have plans to read or listen to those. I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this audiobook.
Taz by Andrea Smith is a suspense romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Alexander Cendese and Samantha Martin.
Author Note “All books in the G-Man Series can be read as a standalone, but are most enjoyable if read in order since the characters interconnect.”
I absolutely love Andrea’s books and this one is no different. I look forward to reading the other books in the G-Man series.
Alexander and Samantha did an amazing job on the dual narration. I absolutely loved how they brought the story to life.
