Thea Landry has always known her place in modern-day society. It’s somewhere just above the trash can her mother dumped her in as a newborn but below the class where much comes easy. With her tattered shoes and bargain-bin clothes, her life has never been full of glamour. So when a rich and charismatic man takes interest, she doesn’t fool herself into thinking their encounter is anything more … anything more than a one-night stand. Months later, she’s kicking herself for not getting his phone number. Or his last name. She’s given up hope of seeing him ever again.
Until one day, years later, Logan Kendrick waltzes into her life once more and turns everything she’s built upside down. This time around, she won’t make the same mistake. She’s going to fight to keep him in her life—not for herself.
But for their daughter.

Without giving too much away Tattered was good, I like that it happened in a small town, I love small-town stories as they feel very magical, the characters are more down to earth and way more empathic.
Thea and Logan’s story started few years ago it was something fast but very strong and passionate after may years thinking about that night Thea and Logan’s path crossed again and this time they want to make this forever.
I really enjoyed Thea and Logan’s story is full of laughs and also the right amount of angst to keep you wanting more of the story and the characters that make this wonderful book.
my favorite character is Charly she is beautiful and very smart, she made me cry, laugh and even be on her side at all times, she is the main reason of this story that will bring you so much joy.
overall it was a good story the secondary characters were also good, some were very nice others were not so nice and they really gave such a hard time for the main characters.
All Devney Perry books have been an incredible read in my experience and this one does not disappoint. Original and flawlessly written. The chemistry the love and the heat between Thea and Logan make the quality plot that much more special and Charlie is a treasure.
Thea & Logan Loved this story so much!
Loved the Audio too!
Five Love Filled Stars!
All the feels came through this with secret baby romance. The pain of Thea’s past and the trials of raising her child, they got to me and I teared up a few times. Not really a fan of the evil rich family story lines in a book, but it wasn’t too bad here and luckily there were only a few scenes to get through. This was a new author for me, one that I’m sure I’ll be revisiting as the writing was amazing.
Thea, Logan, and Charlie. What can I say? Thea and Logan are worlds apart. Charlie could steal anyone’s heart, and does! That little girl is something special. Then you have Hazel and Jackson. Whew. I can’t wait to read more from Lark Cove!
As soon as the Lark Cove series hit KindleUnlimited a couple months back, I knew that I wanted to read it. I have heard wonderful things about Devney Perry, but it seemed like a lot of people haven’t read this series. So I dived right in. I didn’t even read the description. I just needed to read a book by Devney.
So you can imagine my surprise when I read the first couple of chapters and realized that this is a second-chance romance with the whole pregnancy trope bit. I can’t sit here and tell you all that I was excited when I found that out because I wasn’t. The whole pregnancy trope plot has never been my favorite. It has to be executed very well for me to enjoy it. Luckily, Devney did that that!
The book starts out with a young Thea bar tending at a nice bar when a handsome man walks in. They share some quick-witted banter and she discovers the man’s name is Logan. After her shift, they have a one-night stand and parted ways. They didn’t ask for full names or contact info. It was just suppose to be a night of fun and passion.
Fast forward six years later, Logan is out in Montana for work when he just happens to bump into Thea at her own bar. He is surprised to see that she has a daughter who just happens to be turning six next month. He does some quick math and quickly realized that he’s a dad.
Thea feels terrible that she wasn’t able to get in touch with Logan for all these years. She tried to find him multiple times but without his full name, she couldn’t do much. But now that he is back, she is scared. Will he try to take Charlie away? Will he make them move? Does he still feel that spark between them too?
Thea’s character was a bit of a let down for me. I believe she is suppose to come off a strong independent woman, but she was just so naive. She has overcome a lot in her lifetime – most of it alone. However, I just can’t imagine a woman that has been through as much as she’s been through acting the way Thea does.
Also, I found it hard to believe that she wasn’t able to track down Logan when she was pregnant with Charlie. There are private investigators and the internet. Social media alone should have helped out in some way. I mean, Logan isn’t a nobody. He is really successful and comes from a well-known family.
Other than that, I really enjoyed everything else about this book. I love children in books. They add such a comical relief and cuteness overload. And when you throw in a hot dad determined to bond with her, I died. Seriously.
I really hope I can finish this series before it is taken off of KindleUnlimited. I can already tell I am a fan of Devney and I cannot wait to read more of her stuff.

Tattered by Devney Perry is an emotional read, packed with heart and soul, a well developed plot, and a little suspense to top it off! I loved the range between totally intense and heart-wrenching to over the moon swoon-worthy. Perry injects so much emotion to different aspects of the story, and the angst was perfection.
I absolutely loved Logan and Thea!
This was my first read by Perry, and absolutely will not be my last!
4.5 stars
What a beautiful and heartwarming story.
A second chance surprise baby romance with all the feels. My fist Devney Perry experience and already I can’t wait to read more from this author. Denvey writes journeys and I love that.
Tattered is the story of Thea and Logan who meet at a bar where she works and they have a one night stand. They have a night that had real connection and unforgettable night in more ways than one. Logan is a workaholic, hes rich and has a lot of responsibility and even though Logan returned weeks as soon as he could he left it too late and he never found Thea. Thea had moved on and all he was left with were memories.
Thea had become pregnant from her one-night stand and didn’t even know Logan’s last name. Thea had a sad childhood living in care homes, she never felt loved or felt like she belonged and when she was older she had been taken in by an amazing woman named Hazel who treated her as her own along with Jackson another boy from the home. Thea had Jackson and Hazel who all became a family and the three of them ran a bar and raised Charlie when she came along. Thea finally felt loved and like she belonged somewhere until Logan unexpectedly and accidentally came back into her life when he walked into her bar after a business meeting, the man who had given her an amazing daughter became the victim of miraculous and wonderful fate.
Logan didn’t even know he had a daughter, Logan was shocked and also relieved to finally find Thea again after 6 years of wondering, this became a journey of getting to know each other and from their new beginning blossomed a heartwarming love story.
Heartwarming, charming, hot in all the right places and leads to a hea.
I listened to Tattered in audio which was brilliantly narrated and I will either listen or read more, at this point, I just want more books from this author.
Another fabulous read by Devney Perry! Thea and Logans story was wonderful and I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to see what comes next for this series!
Really enjoyed this one. I love the cross connection between the hero and a previous story of Perry’s that I adored. The flow of Perry’s storytelling in Tattered is what really engaged here. The hook started with the prologue and the angst following felt organic and natural coming from within and not outside nonsense. The two characters were electric with their chemistry even though they come from two very different worlds. It was a great, easy-to-read and love story written with a wonderful romance trope.
My first book by Devney and loved it.
Thea and logan are great together, love their chemistry. Great secondary character’s. Charlie is so adorable, i love her. On to book 2 now and cant wait this is gonna be a fab series.
You won’t be able to put this book down, from the cover and then the story. Amazing
Tattered was amazing. I love that it was Logan’s story and we got to see his happily ever after. Thea and Charlie were the perfect mother/daughter duo in small town Montana. I’m on pins and needles waiting for Timid!
This was my first read from Devney Perry, and no way is it going to be my last! I think there’s a new Queen of Feels in town (although she’s actually been in town for quite a while now and I’m just late on the bandwagon. Don’t make the same mistake!) Tattered is an absolutely gorgeous story that pulled me in right from the start. The hero and heroine have dazzling chemistry, the premise is immediately intriguing, and the supporting characters are a riot, but what really sealed the deal for me was the setting. Devney masterfully creates a sense of atmosphere that pulls you into Lark Cove’s small lakeside town vibe as if you really are there. I could practically smell the fresh cut grass and hear the waves lapping at the shore. I felt for myself the peace the heroine found there and which kept her fighting to stay, and I can’t wait to read the other books in the series to get more of it!
This was a book that I just didn’t want to put down. I’ve had this author recommended to me by so many and after experiencing Devney Perry’s wonderful words myself, this book may be the first that I have read by her but it won’t be the last.
This was a beautiful love story. Thea and Logan’s individual lives couldn’t be any more different and I found their story compelling. I wanted to see if they could make a romantic relationship between them work as there were so many obstacles standing in their way. I was rooting for this wonderful couple from the very beginning, and hoped that love would conquer all. The supporting characters in this story played their part perfectly and I suspect that the other books in the series will focus on different characters from Lark Cove – which really excites me. I’d love to learn more about them and hopefully be kept updated with what is happening with Logan and Thea too.
I felt every emotion as I turned the pages on my kindle and enjoyed the different relationships that the characters had with each other. I award Tattered 4.5 stars and definitely recommend this book for you to read.
This is a brand new series by Devney Perry. The stars in this series are Thea Landry and Logan Kendrick. For those of you that have read The Clover Chapel, yes this is the same Logan. Thea is a strong woman, but also knows she was always on the wrong side of the tracks, but she is a hard worker and determined to better for herself. Logan is the exact opposite of Thea, he’s always had a life of privilege. Logan is a workaholic that rarely takes time for anything that doesn’t benefit the company. He’s been used because of his wealth and isn’t interested in anymore relationships like his previous one.
Thea and Logan have a chance meeting in a bar in NYC that Thea is the bartender for. They both have one incredible night full of passion as strangers, then part ways. What neither of them expected was to have their night of passion end with a pregnancy. Since they both knew this was a one night thing, neither thought to try to get contact information or even a last name.
On another chance meeting years later Logan walks into a dive bar in Montana, and runs into no other than Thea and Charlie who is now 5. Logan figuring out he is a dad has some laugh out loud moments and a lot of them but also a few heartbreaking ones, seeing everything he’s missed out on in the last 5 years with Charlie. Thea having done everything on her own for the last 5 years is very hesitant about Logan, knowing she has to let Logan be a part of her and Charlies life. While also knowing that she’s done it all on her own for the past 5 years and terrified that Logan may want to take Charlie away and to New York.
The chemistry between Thea and Logan hasn’t dimmed at all in the last 5 years, but they both are more determined to make sure this transition is as easy as possible for Charlie, instead of being concerned by any romance between the two of them. Once things settle and they decide maybe it’s worth it to try a relationship things are steamy and explosive between these two parents.
This book is simply heartbreakingly beautiful. It’s full of heartwarming moments, a few that will break your heart, plenty of steamy and hot moments between Thea and Logan, and even a few suspenseful ones thrown in there too!

“She was ruining me one kiss at a time.”
Such a heartwarming story. I enjoyed every word of it.
What a romantic and exciting read! The tidbit I read really got me interested in the book and I couldn’t resist the purchase. From the first page, I loved hardworking Thea; her honesty, integrity and humor were all a bonus. When she first met Logan, I enjoyed their banter, snarky comments and his bruised ego (of sorts). This was an unexpected romantic joy to read and I look forward to more books by this author. I especially loved Charlie!
Absolutely amazing . Buy the series, please!
I´ve read it while I was on holidays in Australia. Loved the characters and the story itself. And loved all Devney Perry´s books. This in particular made me think about the choices that we make in our life. How a “confort zone” can make us take a bad decision, like to stay in a marriage that it´s broken or stay in a relationship just for you think is your duty. Great book!
