Thea Landry has always known her place in modern-day society. It’s somewhere just above the trash can her mother dumped her in as a newborn but below the class where much comes easy. With her tattered shoes and bargain-bin clothes, her life has never been full of glamour. So when a rich and charismatic man takes interest, she doesn’t fool herself into thinking their encounter is anything more … anything more than a one-night stand. Months later, she’s kicking herself for not getting his phone number. Or his last name. She’s given up hope of seeing him ever again.
Until one day, years later, Logan Kendrick waltzes into her life once more and turns everything she’s built upside down. This time around, she won’t make the same mistake. She’s going to fight to keep him in her life—not for herself.
But for their daughter.

A sweet adorable tale of second chance at fated love. Devney intrigues me with these small town romances. They’re earthy, authentic and rid of unnecessary twists and turns. They’re simple as the land itself. Pure and serene as the fresh air and touch you with their genuineness as the real people of the small towns.
Lark cove Bar in Montana is one such town set around a placid lake. Logan Kendrick has been pulled here to come invest in a children’s camp which is on the brink of closure.
He hates the place, as it holds some bitter feelings for him. But all that is about to change.
Out of all the bars in all the places, he had to walk into mine..
Guess who looks at Logan and blood drains from her face and her jaw drops to the floor?
Thea Landry!!
She offers him Tequila, the code for “We need to talk”
By the end of it, His life changes forever!
“There are too many hurdles between us. Lifestyle. Geography. Responsibilities”
It’s disparity in life, goals, ambitions that make this couple a tough affair to begin with.
How they overcome all the odds stacked against them is a delight to read.
It’s a straightforward and endearing story.
“I like to take the TATTERED and make it shine”
I love the ever protective and devotionally loving heroes devney creates. They’re prime boyfriend materials.
Thea is a fighter and survivor. She holds on to the small life with her dear life.

Tattered by Devney Perry was one of those sweet romances that will make you believe that fairy tales do exist. I loved going back to Montana after a while of being away from Jamison Valley; it was like returning home. But Lark Cove was so much more—a small town among the lakes and mountaintops.
We meet a whole new bunch of characters and get to know one old character who surprised the crap out of me… Logan Kendrick.
But first let’s talk a little bit about Thea Landry… Her name alone comes from the Greek Gods. She radiated a light. She was fierce, independent, a single mother with a heart of gold who endured a lousy life; yet she’s become stronger because of it.
Then we have Logan Kendrick whom we originally met in The Clover Chapel. He shows us his side of what happened between him and Emmeline and let’s just say there’s so much more to him. He’s not only a wealthy man and he shows us that with his actions. Logan jumps head first into wanting to be a father to Charlie. He’s afraid to be rejected by her and you feel his anxiety through the pages as they get to know one another. Gah, it’s such a beautiful relationship to witness!!
Watching the connections unfold and seeing fate put these two different people together again was truly spellbinding. For Thea, always longed for a family and finally got one with not only Jackson and Hazel, but with Logan and their daughter.
Get ready to fall madly in love with Charlie and be knocked over with suspense. I’m telling you, I was shook!
Sigh, this book was a true gem which I’m not surprised because Devney Perry is a Queen like that. With elements of slow burn and second chances, what isn’t there to love? More so, are the secondary characters, which brings us to the second book in this riveting series!
Devney has a way with words that sets my soul on fire! Every single page of Tattered sunk into my skin and I couldn’t get enough. I’m so in love with the Lark Cove world, especially Logan, Thea and little Charlie! I can’t wait for more from this series!

Devney Perry’s Tattered is a second chance romance that will give you all the feels.
Logan and Thea have an intense connection when they first meet. So intense they spend a night lost in their passion and each other. Reconnecting proves hard in the months following and eventually both give up. Fast Forward six years and a chance encounter brings them face to face once again, only now there’s a new player in their game.
Logan is… Logan is… consuming. He fills up a space with his alpha maleness and exudes sex and confidence. He has everything money can buy, but he needs the one thing that money can’t: Thea.
Thea is a bartender, friend and mother. She is the type of person that screams friendly and gains the loyalty of anyone that meets her. She’s had a tough life, but has made the best of the hand she’s been dealt.
Logan and Thea belong together. It’s obvious from the first page. But in a true to life tale, Ms. Perry throws life at them, in the form of a delightful tomboy named Charlie. Charlie was my favorite character, from the moment she ran by with her dark hair flying behind her, she captured my heart.
If you like second chance romances, adorable scene stealing little girls and real life circumstances, then this is the book for you.
What a great little small town romance! Love!
Beautiful small town romance. Perfect summer read.

Devney Perry has another great series in her hands. Tattered was an amazing book!! Great start to this series.
I have only read three of her books but each book gets better and better. I love her writing style. I am captivated by her storylines and I can’t help but fall in love with the characters she gives us. I also love that with her stories we get an amazing love story but also some suspense. Just enough to keep us on our toes!! Perfection!!
Tattered is the first book in Devney’s new Lark Cove Series. It is a standalone novel that will have interconnecting characters. This story is told in Dual POV. Tattered is a second chance love story with an opposite attract feel.
In this story we follow Logan and Thea. Thea was abandandoned when she was an infant and has grown up in an orphanage . Never having anyone to rely on until she meets Jackson and Hazel. Who become her family. She is working in a hotel bar when very wealthy Logan comes in. Their connection is immediate and they have a one night stand. Little did they know that one night was going to change their lives forever. Fast forward 6 years and they see each other again. The attraction is still there but there is a secret Thea has to tell Logan. What we get from here is a great love story about learning to open up and trust. As I said before we also get a little suspense when Thea’s life is in danger. Can Logan and Thea find their HEA?? What happens when Logan has to choose….Thea or Family?? Read this story to find out.
I thought all the characters we met in this story were great. (except for a few, but you have to have them for the drama) Each secondary character added their own element to this story. I fell in love with Logan. I thought he was an amazing Hero and I loved the lengths in which he went to prove his love for Thea. That she could finally trust someone. Thea was a strong and sassy heroine, but she was also slightly broken. She didn’t trust very well and after her start in life I don’t blame her. Charlie stole my heart 🙂
I look forward to the next book in this series!!
I would 100% recommend this book to all fans of second chance romance. Denvey Perry has become an auto read author for me. She hasn’t let me down yet!!! I would recommend all her books to every reader. She gives just a little bit of everything in her stories. This book is a MUST READ!!!
Logan Kendrick & Thea Landry, I do believe are my most favorite D.P. couple EVER. No kidding.
Thea has had to fight her way through this eff’d up world since birth. Never really believing she’s meant to have or be anything special. So different from Logan, who is born and bred high society. So, when Logan walks into the hotel bar she’s working at and sits down for a drink with that sexy smirk and gorgeous face, she’s decided, just for one night, she’ll let herself have something extraordinary.
Neither one of them ever forgot the other. Logan because of the connection he couldn’t deny and for Thea too, but mostly because she parted with the best gift ever, Charlie (who is the most precious, tomboy ever written). But, since it was just one night and no last names or contact info was exchanged, they went on about their lives. Well, that is until he once again, walks into her bar nearly 6 years later. Crazy how fate works.
I just LOVED this book so, so, so freaking much. I cried. A lot. As always, Devney’s writing is superb, I couldn’t put the book down. I felt such a connection to Thea, not entirely sure why but I did. She is a survivor, such an amazing character. Logan is just as incredible; I really enjoyed his journey to self-discovery.
And hello do not skip out on the BONUS EPILOGUE! GAH 😉 I can’t wait for more in this series; the other characters are just as astounding.
I may be a little late to the party, but it’s safe to say that I love Devney Perry’s writing style, and I am unquestionably a fan. I’ve been dying to dive into the Lark Cove series, and I had the opportunity to read the first two books this weekend. She crafts such richly developed stories, and the way that she vividly depicts all the little details really brings the setting to life for the reader. She peels the layers back on her characters truly giving the reader the chance to get to know them. There is a suspenseful edge to Perry’s storytelling in her Lark Cove series, and as such, she ties all the components of her writing together through intriguing, engrossing two-pronged plots with a suspense arc that was just as interesting as the romantic arc. She pulled me in right away, and I hung on every word. Her use of intense emotion paired with a realistically portrayed and organically evolving plot made Tattered a story that not only captured my attention immediately but also held it the whole way through.
While not at the very top of my list of favorite tropes, I do enjoy a surprise baby story, and Devney Perry’s Tattered was an excellent one. One of my hang-ups with the surprise baby storyline is that sometimes they can be overly dramatic, with problems where there necessarily wouldn’t be any just for the sake of moving the story along. That certainly was not the case here. Perry wove a complex, layered and moving tale that was real and raw, packed full of feels and punctuated with the difficult choices and sacrifices parents must sometimes make.
Logan and Thea’s story was incredibly believable, which made their reactions and responses all the more authentic. The spark of attraction may have been what initially drew them to each other, but six years later, that chemistry still sizzled. While they were at opposite ends of the spectrum in a lot of ways, this couple, despite those differences, cared deeply for each other, something that was evident in all of their interactions. It was easy for them, and the reader, to see them together, but their real-life situations were getting in the way.
Tattered was so much more than a simple surprise baby story, though. It was about finding love and overcoming whatever obstacles were in the way in order to keep it. It was about sacrificing it all for love, whether it be romantic love or parental. There was definitely some heartache to be endured before getting to the happily ever after, but even so, this was a passionate and sexy love story that left me swooning in my seat. Five stars from me for Tattered by Devney Perry!

Devney Perry became an automatic one-click for me after reading the second book in her Jamison Valley series. I didn’t think that she could get any better than that series, but I have to admit, I think the Lark Cove series very well may surpass it!
Logan was introduced in The Clover Chapel as Emmeline’s ex-boyfriend. He was a good guy, but things didn’t work out for those two. But that worked out well, because prior to him meeting Emmeline, he met Thea. Unfortunately, she left New York before he came back to find her. Luck was on their side when he showed up in Lark Cove, Montana to check something out for his foundation, and he discovered that he had a daughter that he knew nothing about.
I so so so loved these two characters. While Logan didn’t appear to be a rich, arrogant jerk in The Clover Chapel, I couldn’t help but think that he may have that streak in him. And I was so happy that it never came through (although some of his family certainly had that characteristic). And Thea- what a wonderful mother she was. She learned so much about life and how to love unconditionally from her youth.
I highly recommend this series! I can’t wait for the next book with Jackson and Willa later this summer!!
I want to be the heroines in Devney Perry’s books. How do I get that job? So, so good!
I have quickly become a fan of Perry’s. I have loved a couple of her books, and I have liked a couple of her books that I have read. This book is in-between love and like for me.
When it comes to romance books, I seem to like small town romances better than many. I am not sure what it is about them. Their characters tend to be more unique and real-to-life. Perry seems to have a good handle on creating characters that I can’t help but to fall in love with.
Even though these characters started out in one city and then ended up running into each other in a small town in a whole other state is a little unbelievable, it works for this book. It’s one of those times where fate seems to believable. I fell instantly for these characters.
The story of Thea and Logan is sad, happy, bumpy, endearing, and triumphant. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It is definitely one of those books that I won’t forget.
A wonderfully crafted story with lots of feels
I first read this author when The Birthday List came out earlier this year (one of my favorite reads for the year) and promptly added her to my read-more-from-asap list. So when this book showed up on my radar, I snatched it up as fast as I could, and it managed to live up to all my expectations.
Like the previous book I’d read by the author, this was a beautifully written story, with plenty of great characters, a smooth flow and an engaging plot. In addition to the main characters of Logan and Thea, both of whom I loved, there were several secondary characters that were also well-defined, each adding their own layer to the book. I felt like these were real people dealing with a difficult situation in the best way they knew how, and I was fully involved in the story as I tried to figure out the best solution right along with them. All of that, along with a sub-plot that helped ratchet up the tension and suspense, kept me reading well past the time I should have gone to bed. Ah well, who needs sleep when there are great books to be read?
A wonderfully crafted story with lots of feels, I was happy to see this was the first book of a new series, and I’ve already added the upcoming books in the series to my TBR. 5 stars

I can’t help but to love every word Devney writes. It’s like she knows what she’s doing or something 😉
I loved that we got a character from Jamison Valley in Lark Cove, even if he seemed like a butt in The Clover Chapel, I loved his story!
Logan and Thea are so amazing together. Its about forgiveness, love, second chances and all the mess in between. Charlie is an absolute doll (shhhhh, don’t tell her that!) and just adorable in all of her tomboy glory and I just loved her!
I wasn’t sure what to expect in Lark Cove, but I have fallen in love with it just as much as Jamison Valley and I can’t wait to read more! ooohhhh Jackson and Willa….yes!
Ms. Perry has become a go-to author for me when I need heart-wrenching romance!
I had closed the final pages from Tattered and the thought of it being done really sadden me.. I dont want it to end..
Thea Landry is a tough survivor… escaping to Montana for a new life.. she is a woman that I respect and admire.. No NonSense…smart.. loving and funny.. Her story in Larks Cove were super warm… the feeling of small town love.. the people who have been living there their whole life.. and Charlie… the story was all about her and everything else around her…
I adored surprised baby romance.. Devney made it so emotional..heartfelt.. the feeling was real.. its everyday people life… The fear.. the struggle.. no amount of status can get away with it…
When I started Tattered, it was about midnight and I had just finished reading another book. I figured I would read a few chapters and then go to bed. Well hours later I finished the story and loved it! Devney Perry gave us a beautiful second chance romance with all the feels in Thea and Logan’s story.
Thea and Logan had a chance meeting one night when she was bartending in a hotel bar in New York. They promised each other one night and it was a night neither would forget…literally. In the morning they said goodbye and walked away. Though neither forgot the other, they did not see each other again. Imagine Thea’s surprise when she finds she is pregnant.
She tried to find him, she really did, but with nothing to go by, she leaves New York to make something of herself for her child. I absolutely loved Thea. She came from nothing, but that never stopped her from wanting the very best for her child. She was strong, caring and protective. She had her weak moments, but don’t we all?
Logan Kendrick never forgot Thea Landry, but when he did not see her again, he moved on. Years passed. Logan was charismatic, charming, sexy, and smart. He came from old family money and was accustomed to getting what he wanted. He was a good man, but he had responsibilities and expectations. When he discovers he has a daughter, his world is rocked to its core.
Now Thea and Logan need to find a way to be the best parents possible for Charlie. Logan believes they belong with him in New York where he can offer them the world. But Thea knows they have all they need in Montana. She knows keeping Logan at arm’s length is the right thing to do, but their chemistry is still strong and undeniable. But can they ever have a future together when what they each want such different things?
Tattered by Devney Perry was such a touching second chance romance. I devoured it in one sitting and ignored sleeping. Thea, Logan and Charlie were amazing characters with so much conflict, but also love. I loved watching their story unfold. Add it a bit of mystery and this story will captivate you. A must-read!

Happy reading!
A secret baby romance from Devney Perry? Don’t mind if I do! I can’t say that this is a trope I typically gravitate toward, but I will gladly read anything this author’s writes. The fact that the hero is a familiar face is a definite bonus. Logan Kendrick might not have gotten the girl in The Clover Chapel (I was firmly Team Nick on that one), but his shot at a happy ending was well worth the wait. Tattered finds Logan meeting his match with a flame from his past who also holds the key to his future. Chapter by chapter, Tattered takes readers on an emotional roller coaster filled with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing, and enough feels to tug on your heartstrings, leaving your heart in tatters before putting it back together, piece by piece.
While working as a bartender in New York, Thea Landry falls for the charms of a handsome stranger named Logan. When a one-night-stand leaves Thea pregnant and unable to contact her mystery man, she moves to Montana and it’s not until six years later that the two reunite and Logan learns he has a daughter. Thea, a down-to-earth and hardworking single mother, couldn’t have less in common with Logan if she tried, but she’s forever linked to the hotshot, wealthy New York lawyer by their daughter, Charlie. Logan extends his stay in Montana, determined to win over the daughter he never knew he had, and perhaps, in the process, charm the woman he’s never quite been able to get out of his mind…even if the attraction that’s reignited between them only complicates matters further. Logan’s unexpected appearance in Montana and his entry into Thea and Charlie’s lives turns their world upside down. Throw in a budding romance between Thea and Logan, their different locations, as well as work and familial obligations, and their path to a would-be happy ending is filled with a variety of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
It was probably (okay definitely) a mistake to start Tattered before bed because, once I started, I didn’t want to stop. Every time I came to the end of a chapter, thinking I could put the book down to go to sleep, I decided that reading one more chapter couldn’t hurt. And so on and so on. I found it impossible to take a break from the characters because I had to know what happened next. The angst drove me crazy, the drama held me captivated, and the romance set my heart pounding (the element of suspense might’ve had something to do with that too). From start to finish, my emotions were all over the place. My heart ached. My stomach filled with butterflies. I swooned. I cried. I laughed. I felt hopeful. I was anxious. I was on the proverbial edge of my seat. Like I said…my emotions? All. Over. The. Place.
With a storyline that’s heart-meltingly sweet, gut-wrenchingly emotional, and hopelessly romantic, characters that are complex, endearing, and entertaining, and a romance that’s both wistful and steamy, Tattered is a truly unforgettable love story. With Tattered, Devney Perry sets up her brand-new series, Lark Cove, which has a new setting to become acquainted with, new characters to become emotionally invested in, and new romances to fall in love with. Tattered is the perfect introduction but I can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for the Lark Cove Series.

Once again Devney Perry delivers a book that pulls me in so deep I completely forget where I am. Or that I’m an actual adult human who should be doing responsible adult human things instead of being curled up in the recliner I stole from my husband and not moving for hours on end. Tattered completely captivated me and kept me spellbound from start to finish. Devney takes one of my favorite tropes, surprise baby, and makes it into a deeply emotional and moving journey that just takes your breath away at the sheer beauty of her words.
More than just a simply sweet romance, although there’s plenty of sweetness in there, Thea and Logan’s story is filled with so much more. Family, love, belonging, and true happiness all play huge parts in the beauty that makes Tattered so wonderful. Coming from two completely different worlds Thea and Logan still have a deep connection that can’t be denied even after only one night. The intense feelings between them only grow stronger when they come together again and Logan discovers they have a daughter. With the beauty that is Thea and Logan and the absolutely heartwarming relationship that builds between father and daughter with Logan and Charlie it was easy to find myself completely lost in this book.
Tattered is a book guaranteed to hit you with all the feels. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish. Logan and Thea’s story is about so much more than two people reconnecting after a pass shared night together. It’s complicated and intense, it’s about family and has that feel good comfort of small town romances with Devney’s signature style of suspense thrown in. It’s got believable characters and not to mention an adorable little girl who steals the show at times. Thea is a single mother working hard to give her daughter the best possible life. She’s the perfect example of a mother that is willing to do whatever it takes to love and protect her child, she’s my favorite type of heroine. Logan is the complete opposite of Thea. He comes from money and enjoys the high life. From the moment they meet up again their chemistry is off the charts. But things get messy when Logan finds out about Charlie and thats where the story really begins. I will say Logan’s dedication to get to know his daughter and be present in her life had me swooning. And as with many of her previous books Devney manages to give us little bits here and there of the secondary characters that left me wanting more. Lucky for me this is book 1 in the Lark Cove series with more to come. I cannot recommend this book enough!
