Its’s one of those stories with a lot of back history to go right along with the love story that unfolds right before your eyes. I have to say Autumn did the most amazing job ever with writing this story. The Story came to life inside my head so well that I was upset when it came to an end. It was a fast pace read that I really enjoyed reading. I loved the 2 person POV story and was really easy to follow along with. I wish I could give you spoilers all day about the story but I’m nice and don’t want to ruin it for other readers. It’s one that is a MUST READ!!!
***I received this story for free in exchange for an honest review, see more of my review @ http://jmhoward2007.blogspot.com ***
Another great story from Autumn! I love this book for Wrath and Trinity. I had all the feels reading it….laughter…sadness…intense angst when reading the violence that happened….and oh the hot passion between them. Trinity grew up in the MC life….although not the type of MC that is the Lost Kings. They don’t hurt their women or intentionally hurt civilians. Wrath and Trinity share a few amazing days together and then he has to make a club run and while he is a way….danger from Trinity’s past comes back to haunt her so she goes to club president Rock….and he makes her an offer to help her out. Wrath comes home and he is not happy. Misunderstandings and pig headedness on Wrath’s part keeps them from continuing together and basically draws a line in the sand between the two. Years go by and more hurt occurs. They seem to take one step further then five giant steps backwards.
I loved all of the back story of this book and it was so intriguing to get to read how they started to how they got to the 3rd book in the series.
At times Wrath was a jerk…..but as you read you can see why he felt the way he did.
Trinity takes a lot of crap from certain people in this story….and yet she remains sweet as can be….and such a strong girl. I love her!!!!
By the end of the book you will love him as much as I did!!! I need more of these guys!!!! All of the characters in these books are just so loveable!!! And you cheer for al of them to have a happy ending!!!
I’m trying to recover from the sadness of finishing yet another Lost Kings MC book and it sucks!! I loved this book and by this point I feel like I’m reading about family and not some characters in a story!! I loved delving into Trinity and Wrath’s stories and I have to say that I may have to change from Rock to Wrath as my BBF!! The loyalty and protectiveness and the vulnerability just gets me all weak in the knees and makes me long for a Wrath in my life!! I had so many feelings while reading this book, my eyes welled up a few times and more than once I laughed out loud!! If you are on book 4 of this series you are probably as addicted to this series as I am, so you probably don’t need me to recommend this book, but I’ll say it anyways-BUY THIS BOOK!!! It was a nice long book but for me it wasn’t long enough. I know Autumn has said there will probably be 8 LOKI books, but I’m really hoping she doesn’t stop there!! Bravo Autumn, this was another 5-star read I thoroughly enjoyed!!!
Loved Wrath and Trinity’s story. Refreshing and unique. This is the best MC Romance series out there.
Keep em coming these men are sexy hubba hubba putting these books down is the hard part.
OMG! Trinity and Wrath broke my heart! Their story was so sad at first! 8 years of pain and constant getting even! I’m so glad they worked things out because they needed each other. I loved this book!
Are you kidding? Who wouldn’t love anything by AJL? If you haven’t read this series I would recommend it immediately. It is Super Hot! The characters are amazing and the story lines rock you to your soul. Highly recommend for lovers of MC
This is probably one of my favorite books in the series and Wrath isn’t even my favorite character! I absolutely love getting to see certain situations from a different perspective. All of the Easter eggs we got in other books are starting to come together. Why are you wasting more time reading my review? Go read this book!
Just love Wrath & Trinity. So glad they’re figuring things out!
Tattered on My Sleeve #4 in Lost kings series. series.
Wrath and Trinity, OMG this book makes you feel…for the passed 8 years these 2 have hurt each other so many times, can they get passed all of that or have they both gone too far?
I have to say this is my favorite book in this series, laugh, cry, get excited, feel hopeless…I have never had a book make me feel like i am feeling what the characters are feeling.
I love this book, this series, good job to AJL
Amazing book series! I highly encourage reading everything this author puts out.
If only we could all have another chance to make things right! Wrath and Trinity move right into my heart and there they will stay!
Wyatt and Trinity! Goshh it took them awhile to find their way back to each other.. It wasnt easy.. it was emotional.. scared and vulnerbility. Autumn had always took my emotions away with LOKI.. The story was great and I cant stop reading it.
This whole series is amazing, but Wrath and Trinity are some of my favorite characters. Their beautiful brokenness and deep love is amazing and you feel completely part of their story.
Continuation in the Lost Kings MC series, not a standalone. I would consider this also a ‘slow burn’ of Wrath and Trinity’s story, in that it took along time to get there in more ways than one. Sweet, tender, hot and rough, these two don’t do anything the easy way.
You really read books 4 and 5 together as they continue the story but dig into Wrath and Trinity more.
This book is Wrath and Trinity’s story. I think this was one of the books I had been looking forward to the most. Wow! My heart hurt and bled for these two. This story was frustrating from the beginning. They had extreme chemistry, good and bad, from the day they met. They both have their own demons they must deal with and have fought for years. Many hurt feelings and their own demons are hurdles they must cross. Even when others thought they would be good together they fought it. I felt like someone needed to knock some sense into them. The author has created a complex storyline with this book. I look forward to the next book.
Awesome continuation of the Lost Kings MC series. Wrath and Trinity’s story is compelling and beautiful. I just loved it.
This was the first book I read in this series, It gutted me an then stitched me back up. Wrath and Trinity are a love story unlike most.
Deeply Heartfelt, Honest, & Powerfully Important… “Tattered on My Sleeve” is the fifth book and fourth full-length volume of Autumn Jones Lake’s Lost Kings MC (LOKI) series. It is a lateral step away from Rochlan and Hope, focusing instead on Wrath and Trinity, as well as, some of the historical events that shaped the club overall. Here Lake uses the origins of Wrath and Trinity’s relationship as a vehicle to also fill us in on some of the character and plot blind spots of “Slow Burn”, “Corrupting Cinderella”, and “Strength for Loyalty”. Thus, allowing readers to begin to absorb and understand LOKI as an overall entity beyond its individual players. And once again, Lake’s slow, methodical expansion of the story helps further cement this multifaceted, compelling world deeper into your heart, mind, and soul.
Be prepared, because this one will give you a FIERCE amount of feels! And if you’re anything like me, it will haunt your dreams. It is also the longest installment yet at forty-three chapters spread out over three parts. Additionally, it is much more detailed than any of the previous books within the series. This one will take you some time to get through and understand in its totality, but it is worth the effort I promise you! Because not only does it provide needed insight into Wrath and Trinity as individuals, it also touches on some extremely brave and important topics, especially where Trinity is concerned.
It is a powerful, necessary installment, and honestly, it altered my initial impression of Trinity completely. Because, where I at first, saw only a minor, incidental character, someone who was merely a club girl rewarded by Roch for her loyalty to the club, grew a deeply complex woman born of immense trauma and life tragedies. This book opened my eyes, ripped me bare, and gave much needed soul to her, and to Wrath. Who, just like Trinity, I wasn’t sure about when I first encountered him in “Slow Burn”. He was an enigma to me, because for all his concern for and about Roch and his MC brothers, he outwardly appeared to be an angry, reactionary, judgmental jerk not worthy of attention. Yet, he held my curiosity. And here, as with all the other series installments to this point, Lake’s masterful storytelling planted questions and embedded feelings into my brain that have honestly traipsed wildly through my dreams every night it took to read this story.
I must warn you, “Tattered on My Sleeve” will get under your skin. It will make your soul itch for understanding and your heart burn for revenge against the wrongs done to Trinity. It will also make you weep for Wrath as you begin to see the little boy lost to a different set of abuses, but traumas just the same, affecting him just as deeply as those Trinity is forced to endure.
Once again, Lake’s storytelling is exquisite, her portrayal of Wrath and Trinity’s journey, both as a couple and as individuals, powerful and brave. As someone who suffered similar abuse as a child I found this book irrevocably soul piercing. I grew up in the Midwest where bikers are plentiful and attitudes toward woman such as those portrayed in the earlier parts of this book, eerily similar. It gave me chills, and led me to have to stop at points throughout to catch my breath and wipe away tears. The overwhelming number of revelations Lake puts within the pages of this installment, giving insight into Trinity’s behavior and self-sabotaging obedience, unnervingly familiar.
This book is a testament to how exceptional of an author Lake truly is. As here she portrays elements of souls broken in both body and mind, deeply pained from past trauma and the demons that come with them. She unapologetically illustrates how such shattering of soul’s leads to misunderstandings, subconscious misdirection, fear, and false beliefs in one’s own worth. And she honestly portrays Wrath’s reactions to it all and his journey from anger to understanding, as well as, the work needed to learn how to prove his love to Trinity, and prove to her she is indeed worthy of love.
Their story will violently bind itself to your heart as you read. It will touch you in ways you won’t immediately comprehend, and it will haunt your dreams days after you’re done reading it.
