Loved this book!!!! Autumn IS AN AMAZING writer if you haven’t read any of her books yet your soooo missing out!!! The flow and banter between her characters are amazing you can’t put it down.
Since I love this whole series I pre-ordered this book because I’ve been intrigued about Wrath and Trinity since book 1. I have to admit that during the first half of the book all I wanted to do was slap both Wrath and Trinity because I felt both of them were stupid for all of the misunderstanding and miscommunication between them for years. But the last half opened my eyes and I got it. I loved Wrath when he finally committed to getting his girl and I liked Trinity’s strength, even when she was at her weakest. Looking forward to the next book, which is supposed to be a continuation of Hope, Rock, Wrath and Trinity. For those readers who ask the cheating question….once Wrath commits, there is no cheating. It ends with a happy for now and was not a cliff hanger IMO. There were some recounts of Trinity’s former life that includes rape but it is handled delicately and not OTT.
This book is so unbelievably well written. It made me swoon, broke my heart, bandaged it, ripped the bandaid off, then sewed it back together. Autumn beautifully crafted Wrath & Trinity’s story until it wove itself around my heart. Their backstories, their hurt, and their love are a rollercoaster ride that makes you excited to get on, screaming in the middle of, then smiling like a goof at the end of because it was so good.
ALSO the interweaving of the LOKI world and other characters is so amazing! It never takes the focus 100% off the main characters of the book but just enough of a glimpse that you pause your reading and search out the list of books in the series to see who else gets a story. The LOKI world is brilliantly designed and I can’t wait for more!
I couldn’t wait to read this book!!! It was raw, gritty, so heartbreaking…. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! Another fabulous read Mrs. Jones!!!!!
My favourite of the series so far – this is Trinity and Wrath’s story. This story spans over the course of 8 years starting from Trinity coming to live with the Lost Kings. Trinity’s story is a tough one but we get to see why and how she became the person that she is and we see how her relationships with Rock, Wrath, Z, Teller & Murphy came about. I love how the guys in their own way loved her and protected her. There are times that I wanted to smack both her and Wrath up side the head but it was all worth it in the end. Loved seeing Wrath’s softer side too. Another great edition to this series.
I LOVE LOVE L-O-V-E!!!!! ALL of the LOKI books. Autumn has a way of really making you feel like you know these characters. (And her since apparently I’m on a first name basis) I love that these guys are tough but have such big hearts. A great series to escape to!
Love this couple so much! Autumn does an awesome job of making you feel like you are a part of the stars and you get all the feelings!
What an emotional ride. Finally I got Wrath and Trinity’s story. And man, do they have some history together. So much love and yet so much pain. Now we found out how Trinity came to be with the MC and learn about her past. I loved Trinity. What a broken and damaged woman. And yet she’s a gentle soul with a beautiful heart. There’s new revelations about Wrath and during this book I just fell even more in love with him and his strong feelings towards Trinity. Even though it’s the end, there’s still so much more to be told about this amazing couple.
This one dragged a bit for me. Most of it was spent in the past, covering storylines that readers have already read about, but you did get the nitty, gritty deets on what went down with Wrath & Trinity before she gained her old lady status. I actually skimmed some of the sex scenes (they were hot but there were a TON) because I wanted more “new” storylines/more present day Wrath & Trinity, badly.
Don’t get me wrong though, I LOVE that they are finally together. They were stubborn & did stupid things but the great thing was… they BOTH did them. They both caught one another in the act, they both were leery of commitment at times & they both kept secrets. They were pretty much equally responsible for crap & that was awesome.
Wrath… Oh, that giant butthead. HE was the one who sent those barely legal club girls up to Rock’s door! He really grinds my gears sometimes!! ANYWAYS… I liked how persistent he was in his pursuit of Trinity & how he constantly reassured her how much he & others cared for & respected her. Those tattoos were a bonus too!
Trinity… Her “I’m not good enough, people will always think of me as a w****” mentality drove me bananas; especially since everyone & their mother (well, everyone besides that old lady in the other charter) praised her on every other page of the book. That said, her sweet & genuine personality continued to shine through in this one & as well as her self-defense skills. #YouGoGirl But, I do have a P.S. for Trinity… ALWAYS go public with that relationship & show your man how you care for him, woman! Can’t stand when people try to hide them!!
As for the “situation” with Ransom & those Gabby & Mariella stripper chicks… just like the Lost Kings suspect, I think it all sounds a little fishy.
Anxious to see what happens in the next book in the series, White Heat! Excited that Rock & hope’s wedding will be happening but very nervous that they’ll encounter some scary angst before they exchange rings!! (Multiple books for couples are like a double-edged sword sometimes!)
Absolutely loved this whole series. Love love love
Favorite Quotes:
Wrath. His name should have been lust, because that was the deadly sin burning through me when I looked up – way up – into his ocean blue eyes.
Dumping the entire box of laxatives in the coffee pot, I muse that caffeine will be the least of their concerns in two to four hours.
I own a ton of makeup. But every time I use it, I end up looking like a cracked-out clown.
That he thanks me so honestly, twists my insides. This big, powerful man could hold me down and force me to do whatever he wanted. Yet he’s always so gentle with me. Sweet even. A side of him that belongs only to me.
My Review:
I am all-in with the Lost Kings and totally hooked on this series and author. I have no tattoos and I personally know next to nothing about bikers… but I don’t need to. This series is a highly addicting and sensual love story, with a large cast of characters. During the previous volumes, I had become intrigued with and wanted to know more about, Trinity and Wrath. I was thrilled that this whole hella long book was not only their story, but was occurring along the same timeline as the first three books, and was being told from their perspective. Wrath and Trinity’s story is fierce and passionate, much like Wrath, with volcanically erotic and sweet and tender love scenes. Ms. Lake’s characters are unique, quirky, interesting, multi-faceted, and likable. They are thugs and criminals, and I am okay with that. They may do awful things, but they are not all awful people. The plot is unpredictable yet the writing is smooth, deliciously steamy, unfailingly entertaining, and engrossing. I doubt I would ever tire of reading about the adventures and misadventures of this odd collection of misfits and broken people, who somehow combine to create something functional. More, please.
