Why does every story in this collection have that worn-out stereotype of a raging, unrealistic, horrible idiot female for the main character. The actions, thoughts and dialogues of these so called women are unacceptable and intolerable.
These stories would be great for young girls to read since they are clean, without sex and work towards a relationship, instead of instant lust.
They are simplistic and give the impression that the authors are young but the heavy amount of naivety and unrealistic elements (actually inexperience or lack of research), keep the stories from being a satisfying read for a more advanced reader.
If only that worn-out witch role was not so prominent in each story, these would make quickly read stories perfect for breaks. I won’t allow my granddaughters to read about stereotypes that do not cast girls and women in a good light. They need to know that good women and men exist regardless of what social media, Hollywood and their classmates show . I did not look to see if the books were previously released and wonder why the authors are not listed on most of the stories. I found this collection on Booksprout, to my sorrow. 2*
A Family For Christmas – The only story I was happy to read. The main characters are likeable and the storylines are good. 4*
Taste of Home – Zoey, lost all respect for her with her ridiculous outburst, which made me lose interest in this story. 2*
Love in a Small Town – I found the food fight unrealistic and I did not care for the writing style. 2*
Skimmed through these; stereotyped:
Long Journey Home
Change of Heart
Chasing Love
Did not read, I do not care about rockstars and Hollywood:
Fake Marriage to a Rock Star
Rock Star’s Nanny
Country Star’s Bodyguard
The Rainforest’s Song
Finding Hollywood
Home With Miles
Turned Heart
Christmas in Holly Springs, Carolyn Johnson – Meredith is a miserable excuse for a woman. Stopped reading after 50 pages; the fire scene. 2*

Sweet story
A sweet and clean small town romance. I loved it. The romance develops so naturally and wonderfully, I was mad at the inevitable “twist”. I know it makes stories more interesting, but I was just so ready for these two characters to ride off into the sunset together with no bumps along the way, lol.
A great story.

It’s always a pleasure to read a great storyline. This is filled with such well developed and engaging characters and the chemistry could not be denied that I was hooked through to the end.
Sweet
Things haven’t been going well for Zoey lately. She’s lost her job, it looks like she’s going to lose her home and none of her friends seems willing to help her. When she gets a letter from her long dead father’s sister informing her of an inheritance, things begin looking up. But does she want to trade New York for some small town in Georgia?
Photographer Harley’s life seems to be going smoothly. He lives in his hometown and business is doing just fine. When New Yorker Zoey opens a coffee shop next to his studio he finds her no-nonsense attitude and boundless energy intriguing. But can a laid back townie get along with a high-strung New Yorker?
I thoroughly enjoyed Taste of Home. It is a clean, fun, small town romance between Zoey, formerly a New Your City executive, and Harley, a small town photographer. Zoey has to learn to love the southern, small town charm of friendly people who care about others. The characters are fun, have chemistry and the story was interesting enough to keep me reading instead of working! Loved it!
Man, I thought her “city slicker” attitude lost her the guy. But he was persistent and wouldn’t give up on her. I would love to live in that town…it seems like such a nice sweet place to live. I really enjoyed her cousins, they were so cute; his friends were great too.
Overall totally enjoyed the story. Good job Ruby!!!

I enjoyed this sweet read with captivating characters, small town vibe, southern charm, and heartwarming romance that left a smile on my face and joy in my heart. I loved the attraction and chemistry between Zoey Bernardi, who moves from New York to the small beach town of Harmony Cove, Georgia and Harley Gates, handsome photographer. Fans of sweet romance should add Taste of Home to their TBR list. I received an advance reader copy of this book from Booksprout and this is my voluntary review.
This is a sweet, small town romance between a city girl and a small town photographer. Harley had a hard time getting Zoey to open up but once she did they had a great connection. Believable characters and a well written story full of drama, angst, humor and a great ending make this a must read.
A sweet, family-friendly tale set in Harmony Cove that can be read in about two and a half hours, this is the story of Zoey, who lost her job in New York and Harley the photographer.

This book was truly heartwarming. It was a lovely story of love and romance. I loved that I could get my romance fix without having to read the more graphic stuff. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
After getting laid off from her executive job in NYC and not getting any call backs on her interviews, Zoey receives the deed to a shop in Harmony Cove, Georgia. She decides to move there and turn it into a café. She is rude and pushes everyone away not realizing that unlike in NYC people in Harmony Cove look out for each other. Harley, who owns the photography studio across the street, tries to get her to open up and let people in. But when they get really close something happens that causes her to blame him and push him away. And then when she realizes her mistake and tries to let him back in, he keeps pushing her away. This was a clean romance with plenty of humor and drama.
If you love this author and this genre this is a must read. I volunteered to read an advance copy for an honest reiew.
This was a short but sweet romance that takes place in a small town in Georgia. Zoey has started to hit panic mode when she gets a letter in the mail. Throwing caution to the wind, she decides to uproot and move to Georgia. Thanks to a building she inherited, she decides to start over and open a coffee shop. Her shop happens to be beside Harleys photo studio.
Zoey does not know how to open her heart and trust, so Harley has his work cut out for him. The question is, will she be worth it? Honestly, I was not so sure. At every turn, she was putting him down or demonstrating that she was just too uppity for my taste. She needed to be knocked down a peg or two. In the end, she finally started to redeem herself. I was glad to see, that Harley did not make it easy for her.
Written as a 3rd person, multi pov. with what I consider a HFN ending. I will admit, I had a few awww moments and even a teary eyed moment.
Good story line, nice descriptions to details, engaging dialogue, and good characters. I didn’t fall in love with the characters, but I really did enjoy Harley.
All in all, a good read.
Would I recommend this book? Yea
Would I read more from this author? Probably
