This may be considered a bit of a spoiler but this book is at it’s core about two guys (father and grampa) trying to matchmake their kids using their friendship, and if that fails in life, they intend to succed even if in death. It was a great read, with well written characters and an evermoving plot centered on the development of a relationship from a rather weird situation. My mais issue was Iain’s lack of communication which could’ve avoided a lot of grief

A well crafted and beautifully plotted am sure I enjoyed reading every beautiful moment and second as it unfolds with issues to sort through the this story.
A good storyline that was well written and fun. It included secrets, a crazy ex, great chemistry, misunderstandings, greed and love. The characters were strong and relateable. A nice entertaining read.

Kirstine is the owner of her grandfathers coffee shop. Iain has taken over his fathers company. Iain thought that it was going to be easy to get everyone out of the building but finds out that there is a binding contract. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. Impression
What an interesting quick HEA love story. This was my first Beaton story, but I’m looking forward to seeing what else she has available. I enjoyed reading how this story unfolded. Jumping to conclusions before having facts can cause a whole heap of unnecessary trouble, just like this story!!
ARC received from BookSprout for an honest voluntary review.
I loved every word of this book. It was a wonderfully heartwarming read. It was perfectly paced to be the perfect read. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Ian took over his father’s company, but struggled to get everything into a day that lasts only 24 hours. For that reason he was more than upset when no one was able to get a tenant of one of his houses to move out – a coffee house could be anywhere and he had offered a good location in exchange for vacating his house.
When he takes the time to personally talk to the owner of “Joe’s”, he is intrigued, and little by little he learns why his father had tried to protect this little corner in the world.
A love story – yes, but so much more. The description of the café with its regulards helps the reader to remember that some things in life are more important than others.

What would this kids do without devoted friends and family!
His “grand gesture” was fantastic, but would’ve been just as wonderful had he dropped hints on how he felt about her while he planned it. She came to a reasonable conclusion when she connected the dots–wrong, but reasonable.
Not a “clean” story, but the private stuff wasn’t in detail.

Here we come across Iain Young the oldest of the Young Siblings & Kristine (Kirsty) Brown the new owner to her grandfather’s Joe’s Coffee Shop, after his death & he’s the best friend to Drew Young where there’s a clause in the rental agreement to the premises that gives Kirsty the right, which at first frustrates Iain that he can’t get rid of her like he’s done with all the other tenants. So we see how these 2 begins with butting heads, to them getting to know & like each other. Come & see how things start off between these 2 to where we’re left off at the end.
Another Great Francine Beaton HEA though scenario & country different to her Playing For Glory Series

I really enjoyed this book it was a super read that held my interest all the way through. Kirstine and Iain were good characters and I enjoyed getting to know them. These two meet when he tries to get her to move her shop so he can sell the building it is in. My only issue with this book was that for a businessman he was kinda daft and at first, he annoyed me but he did grow on me the more I read

3.5 Stars! This book, & its Story, is Pretty good… don’t get me wrong, I just felt it could’ve moved along a bit quicker. The author has talent, so I’ll definitely be checking her out again for another Read. Also note, a 4 Star rating is Very GOOD from me, & A 5 Star Rating is Stellar. This book almost earns 4 Stars, I’m just a Tad picky. However, for many this’ll be the perfect fit!! Sooo, definitely give “Taste for Coffee” a try Today!

Iain is a frustrated young man because his plans are not going the way he wants. Kirstine is an angry young woman because Iain and his siblings will not leave her alone. When his lawyer suggested he go to the coffee shop to solve is problems he did not know the effect that Kirstine would have on him. As these two spent time in each others presence they realized that there was a deep connection there now all they had to do was get around their miscommunications, a conniving ex and whomever is sabotaging the coffee shop.

of course a man would be daft enough to tell a woman that he is planning to marry without asking her, or telling her she is the one he has hopes for.
somehow “accidents” during a remodel at the site of her closely held coffee shop cause enough damage and expense to make her finally ready to give in to closing
foolish man for not watching his business closely enough to know that someone from his office was indeed behind the damages
can they look past the troubles and find their way to a fresh start and new happiness?
should she rather tell him to sod off?
will love guide her to him despite better sense?
a touching sweet story – despite the man being so stubbornly male.

Hm just okay
A classic start really. Powerful business guy (Iain) wants to force young woman (Kirstine) to move her small business away. They meet, are aware that they are enemies, but are very much physically attracted to one another.
But he doesn’t like coffee. Can you imagine? Enter Kirsty with her coffe making skills, to try and convert him into a lover of ‘a hug in a mug’ 😉
The main character is Iain. Kirsty is secondary; her POV is too matter-of-fact, I never felt as if I really got to know her. Nothing about her personal life, not enough feelings. At least, I didn’t FEEL it, it didn’t reach me. She stayed distant, aloof, from afar…
And… I didn’t like Iain. It started when he said people who read books are geeks. Hey! That’s offensive! And he’s clearly playing a mind game with Kirsty. And he’s soooo overly arrogant! The kind of guy who wants things his way no matter the cost to others. All of that made him unlikeable. Well, what do you expect from a guy who didn’t like coffee (wink wink).
The story itself was kind of nice, but not enough for me to like the main characters and that’s so important to me! All in all, just okay.
