Grab your beach hat and a towel and prepare for a brand new series brought to you by twelve New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors… from the online group, Romantic Hearts Book Club, decide to finally meet in person during a destination Caribbean vacation to beautiful Enchanted Island. While of different ages and stages in life, these ladies have two things in common: 1) they are diehard romantics, and 2) they’ve been let down by love. Four months later, a bottle washes up on a beach near Savannah, Georgia, where billionaire banker, Heath Wellington, is primed to propose to his socialite girlfriend. Pragmatic Heath has never believed much in signs, but the timing of this mysterious missive’s arrival is too uncanny to ignore. Can Heath disregard the compelling “message in a bottle” from a sassy bookstore owner in Beaumont, Maine? Or will her heartfelt plea change the course of his life forever?

Because of the short story format, there is little character development. What we do see is a bit of fun flirting and some conspicuous consumption. (Guess what? The rich don’t become, or stay, rich by blowing their money on flying out of town for coffee dates.)
There’s a bit of drama, and, of course, a HEA.
Tara is part of the twelve book Beach Brides Series. The series follows twelve friends who are part of the online Romantic Hearts Book Club. They agree to meet at Enchanted Island in the Caribbean. While there, they each write a note to their perfect hero, put it in a bottle, and toss it out to sea. Now the bottles are being found, and we get to enjoy the stories that follow!
I am so excited about this series! As crazy as it sounds to send messages out in bottles, it is so realistic, too. I can totally picture a group of friends doing this! Shoot, I can picture myself and my friends doing something like this years ago.
Tara’s story was wonderful!! I started it at night, which was not a good idea. “Just a few more pages,” I kept telling myself, until it was really getting late and I had to force myself to put down the book. I picked it up as soon as I could the next day and finished it.
I loved both Tara and Heath! They came from very different worlds, yet fit seamlessly together. I loved their first emails and the way everything got started between them. The other characters in the book were great as well. I especially loved Grandpa Lyle.
I loved this book! The settings were vivid and the characters were well developed. And the story – oh, my, it was so romantic!! If the rest of the series is this good, I am in for a treat! And need to prepare for a lack of sleep. 🙂
Twelve women formed an online book club. It
is called Romantic Hearts Book Club. They
decide to meet in person on a Caribbean isle.
They dare each other to write a note to their
dream hero. The note gets put in each one’s
own empty wine bottle, corked then throw
into the sea!!!
There are twelve books and twelve authors
included in this Beach Brides Series. Each
book can be read as a stand alone.
Ginny Baird writes the captivating second
book called Tara.
Tara is from Beaumont, Maine. She owns
and runs a romance only book shop. She
never thought the bottle note would be found
or that she would be contacted.
A billionaire banker, Health and his girlfriend
of three years are walking along the beach.
He is trying to get ready to propose but has
uncertainty when he spots the bottle. He
refrains from the proposal. The relationship is
ended. He opens the bottle reading the note.
Will the note in the bottle change Heath life?
Will he act on discovering the IrishLass that
corked the message in the bottle.
Well defined, realistic characters situated in
vividly described settings. You will feel as if
you are right there shadowing the characters.
Well written secondary characters enhanced
the story.
A highly recommended read!!!
I volunteered to read this eBook. Thanks to
the author for the opportunity. My opinion
is my own.
Tara (Beach Brides Book 2) by Ginny Baird.
This is Heath Wellington and Tara McAdams’ story.
Heath is a billionaire banker from Savannah, Georgia and Tara is from Beaumont, Maine. Both of them are down on their luck with relationships. I loved how Heath and Tara met. Their first meeting was so sweet and romantic. But will they be able to handle a long distance relationship?
I loved Heath and Tara’s story. The author does a wonderful job of creating an entertaining and romantic story with wonderful characters and a few twists along the way.
This can be read as a standalone but you will want to read the other girls’ story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
