The beer’s not the only thing getting tapped.CALLIE I have a secret. It’ll get me fired if my boss ever finds out…which shouldn’t be a problem except for one thing: my coworker, Reid Morgan. He’s cocky, aggravating, and that hot-as-sin mouth simultaneously makes me want to slap him and melt into the mattress. Now that he’s discovered my secret, he’s doing everything in his power to take my job. … he’s doing everything in his power to take my job.
REID
I have a problem: my pint-size spitfire of a coworker who’s primed to take my promotion.
She’s infuriating, sexy as hell, and I just can’t seem to keep my hands off her.
Now we’re both vying for the same position…and only one of us can come out on top.

Callie Anderson just landed a much needed job at a brewery, but she’s struggling to keep a well-hidden secret until she’s cleared the probationary period. Her problem is the grumpy bartender who’s been assigned to teach her the ropes is hell bent in finding out what it is.
Reid Morgan was ready to get the managing position, but when Callie is brought in, he sees his dream go up in smoke. She’s sexy and distracting, but he knows he must keep his head in the game if he wants that job.
Tap That is the kind of book you don’t want to put down. It’s fun, engaging and entertaining with a rapid pace and great flow to it. I really liked the story and the characters and spent the best part of the book in LOL mode because yes, it’s THAT funny.
Reid and Callie have a great chemistry and their enemies to lovers’ journey is one of the funniest I’ve read. They have great banter and the situations Callie gets herself into are more than epic!
The story is also original and romantic and though, Reid calls himself an ass more than once during the story, he’s one of those book jerks one’s got to love no matter what.
IMO, this story is a great combined effort and I can’t wait to read more from this duo.
4.5 stars
Coworkers, enemies to friends to lovers to enemies… Who wouldn’t fall for such a recipe in a book? This book demanded to be devoured.
I loved both Reid and Callie’s characters. Their fire, their passion, their angst, their banter. All of it had me turning the pages way into the night.
Co-authored books always make me nervous. I always wonder if their writing will mesh well together to create a seamless story. RC and Jennifer definitely have the right chemistry for a collaboration. They reached the moon with this one.
4.5 stars
Both Callie and Reid are likeable, well-rounded and, importantly, believable characters. I would have liked a little more background on Reid, whilst I knew him in the ‘now’, there wasn’t the same type of back story on him that we got for Callie. The chemistry between them was intense and felt real, fighting that attraction leads to some very funny moments. There is also plenty of angst and a dollop of heartache to balance the silly.
If I’d not understood how important the promotion was to Reid and how hard he had worked to deserve it, then his attitude to and treatment of Callie would have made him seem like a very unpleasant ass. However by giving us his point of view first it allowed me to be more sympathetic to and understanding of him.
I did have an idea of how the work/bar side of the story would progress, including Bert’s contribution, though there were still plenty of twists that I didn’t guess. Even with that the wonderful writing, witty banter, funny situations, scorching passion and loving tenderness made this a fantastic read. It kept me reading, held my attention and took me from giggling to blinking back tears.
I’ve read, and loved, several R.C. Boldt books but Jennifer Blackwood is a new-to-me author. However based on this I will definitely be keeping an eye out for her work.
Five butterscotch cookie-stars! This is a sexy & funny read; a Romantic Comedy with capital letters.
Sweet baby Jesus! Tap That by is a piece of heaven, a masterpiece beautifully written by two talented ladies: Jennifer Blackwood and RC Boldt. I’ve already known that this book was going to be a bookish pleasure since RC Boldt co-authored it. I haven’t had the opportunity to read Jennifer Blackwood’s books before but after reading this one I’m so curious about her books.
Tap That is best example of how good is to mix a good Romantic Comedy and an enemies-to-lovers Romance. Such a powerful combination. I had a big time reading it. I devoured it in one sitting. The story was really compelling and the characters felt so real. I love everything about this book. I was hooked from the first pages.
Jennifer Blackwood and RC Boldt delivered a funny and page-turner book with a fantastic and refreshing plot. Both ladies hit the bell with this book. It has the sparks of RC Boldt writing and the lovely touch of Jennifer Blackwood writing. It is easy to see the finesse work they did to create this oeuvre d’art.
If there is someone who knows how to write a good Romantic Comedy, is RC Bolt. And Jennifer Blackwood complements this book with her romance and steamy touch. They make a dream team.
They gifts us a super cocky male character. Reid Morgan is a sexy as hell. He is a bartender and he is the kind of man who can warm you in places you didn’t know they could be warmed. He is a hard working man and too talented. He is waiting for a promotion in the bar he has been working but an intruder will get the position he desires. He is the one who know everything about beers. It is his specialty. However, a gorgeous girl will steal his dream. He knows he deserves the position but at what cost?
On the other hand we have a clever and fierce heroine: Callie Anderson who got the job she needed by telling a small lie in her resume. She really needed the job. She is clever and will try to work her best to keep it. Things will not be easy because of Reid. He is going to make his work a helluva of hell. The hate-love relationship between them is going to explode in an intense and all-consuming attraction. They said opposites attract. Well. It is true. They fight constantly but there is a thin line from hate to love and once the attraction is unbearable, they will surrender to their desires.
One night will not be enough to fulfil their cravings. Callie and Reid will cross many lines and will enjoy it gratefully until their professional life stand between them. Will they choose each other above a job position? They are from different worlds but their souls have recognised each other half.
This book is perfect for those readers who crave a funny and sexy read. I assure you it is worth of your time. You will love it as much as I did.
Be prepared for a book that will leave you with a big smile on your face and a sweet taste like wine warming your throat.
Short review. Callie is unlikable character, I just couldn’t warm up to her and she made the story not enjoyable. Reid is likable and you can understand why he’s mad he got passed over for the job that he was actually qualified for unlikable Callie who patted her resume for job she should have never even applied for. I didn’t buy their instant attraction and them acting on that attraction whatsoever.
Enjoyed reading this book. Looking forward to the others in the series. Very light reading, which made it hard to put down.
The authors did an amazing job with this book. I haven’t laughed as much during any other reads as with this one but it was also a really well written romance. I liked that the humor felt so natural and not forced on the characters or put in the story with silly jokes. It fit to the book like the cherry on the cake.
I may not have been emotionally invested in the story because I couldn’t connect with the characters, but the story was so funny and entertaining to read that there was no other way than to love it.
Reid was easy to like but I had to warm up to Callie because I felt bad for him that she appeared out of nowhere and took his job away for which he worked so hard for. (Even though it wasn’t her fault but his boss.) Yeah, suffice to say that I rooted for him; although, I did warm up to her quick enough due to her embarrassing and funny moments and also because I could relate to her distaste for beer.
The characters felt instant chemistry and attraction toward each other which was fun to read about because not only did Reid dislike Callie for taking away his job, they also weren’t allowed to give in to their desires because of the non-fraternization policy. Sparks were flying and neither of them held back when it came to having the last word in their bickering.
Reid almost always had sexual fantasies about Callie when he looked at her. Even though it was harmless wishful thinking of kissing her or slipping his fingers beneath her dress, it sometimes felt a bit too much and too often for my taste.
Other than that, I really liked Reid. He had guts, was smart and determined, he knew what he wanted, worked hard to get it, and he didn’t take bullshit from anyone.
The Story:
Not only does Callie have no knowledge about Breweries, she also doesn’t even like Beer. Still, she is determined to keep her job at On Tap Brewery no matter how much of an a.s.s. Reid is to her. Although there are days when he can’t keep his eyes, hands, or lips to himself because she’s just so tempting in her skirt sashaying around in front of him.
But Reid wants her gone. Callie swooped in and took the job he wanted so badly and worked so hard for. Now he has to show her the ropes of the management position he’d intended on filling. Though treating her like a douche isn’t something he can do for long when she looks so alluring and has him craving her touch.
Thoughts:
Although this was my first book by Jennifer Blackwood, I wasn’t worried in the least about how the book would turn out because I’ve read a lot of RC Boldt’s books and I absolutely adore her. So, it was no surprise that the book was hilarious and had me almost constantly laughing.
Callie’s character was especially funny due to her often slightly embarrassing scenes. I warmed up to her after a while because honestly at first I felt really bad about her taking away the job Reid so badly wanted. I actually don’t even know why he didn’t just tell his boss that he wanted it…
Anyway, I wished there was a bit more fight and hate in the beginning because the instant attraction/chemistry between Callie and Reid took away what surely would have been more funny times.
People tend to make things way more complicated than what they really are but that’s already half the fun of the story. So, although I wondered why he for example didn’t just tell his boss that he wanted the job, I also couldn’t blame him. Anyhow, I still loved the book! It was hilarious! I had to laugh so much like never before and although I’ve read quite a bunch of rom coms in the last months, they aren’t usually my go-to genre. I love RC Boldt’s humor and this is definitely one of her funniest books. I am also tempted to check out Jennifer Blackwood’s books.
Tap That is laugh out loud funny, entertaining and an all round fantastic book. It has everything you want and more. If your looking for a hysterical rom-com and fantastic friends to enemies story, then this is the book for you!! I loved the concept of Reid and Callie’s unique story, the plot is consistent and they are very relatable characters. The chemistry between them is amazing, the sexual tension is off the charts and once they consummate their relationship, it is explosive. Their relationship is filled with sarcasm, witty banter and very steamy love scenes. I just couldn’t get enough of them. And Reid’s grandmother and her bingo loving friends are HILARIOUS!!!! I highly recommend Tap That and I’m looking forward to reading more books from both authors!!
Five Stars
One of the main reasons I loved this book are flawless and outstanding writing by Jennifer Blackwood and R. C. Boldt and funny flirty banter between the characters. This was such an amazing book with great characters and secondary characters. I love good frenemies to lovers story so this story didn’t disappoint either.
I loved Reid and Callie, their interactions, funny flirty banter and angst between them. The chemistry and sparks between them were simmering. Callie and Reid were both so competitive, wanting constantly to one up each other. I was pulled into the story immediately and wanted Callie and Reid to be together. I find both characters very real, trying to find out what they want. What I didn’t like is the situation they were put in. I didn’t agree with everything Callie and Reid were doing and their judgement on some things, but for me they were both amazing characters and I liked their development throughout book. They were hot, sassy, funny and the book was filled with emotions, heart games/wars and laugh out loud moments. Reid and Callie were a great couple. I love how they were with each other, once they decided to let their guard down and to explore what they have. Love how Reid was supportive of Callie and the way he saw her. Both were tough and independent, but also flawed and vulnerable characters. In some moments they were so quirky and adorable and other just tough and strong. Love the dual POV.
If you want a book filled with angst, flirty banter and amazing characters this is book for you
I want to be Love struck!!!
Wow! Callie and Reid are super hot! Hooking up with someone you work with is always a risky move. Especially when the object of you lust has the managerial job you want! But that sure doesn’t stop Reid from getting together with Callie. That is, until he finds out that he has a shot at taking that managerial job from her. I wont get into all the details, because that would take away from your enjoyment of the book. Its an enemies-to-lovers story…. then they go back to enemies. Reid screws up really bad, but Callie was still willing to put herself out there to get the guy back…. but he just got himself in deeper and deeper. These 2 really frustrated me! But the effort that Reid finally puts into trying to win her back is just the sweetest! I really did love this story. It was a great read with some hot spots and not too much angst issues involved…. I really loved Callie and Reid! I was sad to see their story end.
I laughed so hard while reading this book. Tap That is a super funny and sweet quick read. I really enjoyed it and hope the authors decide to write a book for Reid’s best friend, Greyson. If you’re in the mood for something fun and light hearted I would recommend reading this book.
~~Tap That ~~Reid and Callie ~~
Imagine that two fabulous authors come together and dream up a collaboration of a funny, sexy enemies to lovers adventure…you have Tap That !
Reid has been working hard to prove himself behind the bar for the past year. He knows that the management position is in his grasp. He is the right man for the job.
Callie is breaking out of her comfort zone and attempting to show her parents that she is more than capable of making it on her own. A bit of tweaking or fibbing on her resume and she has landed a position as the manager of a bar a brew house . Does it matter that she knows not a thing about beer and oh yes the tastes is repulsive to her…..oh nonsense she will work through it and fake it till she makes it!! She will make this work no matter the cost. The only thing in her way …a very disgruntle employee Reid.
Reid is blindsided when Callie steps in and takes the reins of the bar. He cant stop watching her , yes she is beautiful , smart , and hard working but she is a poser. He realizes that she is faking it she knows nothing about beer and doesn’t even like the taste ..oh the horror! Game On he has found her out!
When these two collide the aggression , head butting , anger and banter are powerful but as we know their is a fine line between love and hate! What happens when their knock down drag out competition takes them across that LINE. It could end both of them and no one gets what they want ! This can’t happen ….but it does!
Great story loved the chemistry and electricity between the characters!

Perfect combination of sexy, sweet, romance, and humor!!!
I LOVED this enemies to lovers story! Callie and Reid have huge amounts of chemistry, equal parts hate and lust, at least in the beginning.
Reid has been head bartender at the bar, Tap That, for years. He finally thinks he has his promotion to manager locked up. Until he doesn’t. He meets with his boss thinking this is it! But, he meets his new manager-in-training, Callie.
Callie needs a job in a bad way which sometimes makes a person desperate which is exactly what she is. So, she lies. She claims to be a beer expert. The truth is she doesn’t know a thing about beer. In fact, she hates it. She knows she has made an enemy in Reid, so she will have to be on top of her game if she wants to keep this job.
Reid catches on pretty quick, and he realizes Callie knows nothing about beer. He thinks he’s got her right where he wants her, so it shouldn’t be too hard to expose her. However, as he spends more time with her, he is equally attracted to her as much as he hates her. She somehow gets under his skin, and that is what I love about Reid. He has such a good heart! Instead of trying to hurt her, he tries to help her, getting her out of some hilarious predicaments. You’ll know exactly what I mean when Callie finds herself performing as a clown at a child’s birthday party! HILARIOUS!!!!! Reid’s good deeds don’t stop there. He goes to senior bingo with his grandmother. How could I not fall in love with Reid?
Oh my goodness, Callie is HYSTERICAL! She is constantly getting herself in trouble, and Reid, being her knight-in-shining armor comes to her rescue. She is also beautiful, but she doesn’t realize how truly beautiful she is! Like Reid, she has a heart of gold. Their hearts are definitely what make them soulmates, even if it takes them a while to realize that!
This was the perfect romantic comedy. Watching Callie and Reid fall in love was pretty humorous as well as heartwarming. Callie and Reid were great characters, both trying to find their way both personally and professionally. The addition of great secondary characters, such as Bert and Reid’s grandma, made the book even better. I loved the fact that the bar, Tap That, was in a sense a character. It was a big part of the plot. And, I loved the fact that the title of this book was EXACTLY what the book was about…clever name with double-meanings!!!! Thanks, ladies, for a wonderful afternoon spent with a wonderful book and great characters!!!

4.5 Lovestruck Stars!
I loved this hilarious and heartfelt, enemies to lovers romance. Reid was blindsided when he was passed up for a promotion that was given to newcomer, Callie. He knew he was more qualified and reluctantly agreed to help her learn the ropes. When he discovered her secrets, all bets were off. Callie worked hard for this job and had her own reasons for taking it. The tension between the two grew into fiery sparks that couldn’t be denied. But what could go wrong with a non fraternization policy and both wanting the same position? I really think these authors make a great team! This story is so well crafted and seamless that you can’t even tell there are two different writers. They have created a multifaceted romance with two wonderful characters, witty banter, and lots of fiery passion. I really loved both Reid and Callie and cheered for their HEA from start to finish. This fast paced story is filled with hilarious and embarrassing predicaments but is also heartwarming, sweet, and super hot & sexy. I definitely recommend this must read romance!
I loved Tap That from R.C. Boldt and Jennifer Blackwood. I am a huge fan of R.C. Boldt. She writes some of the best romcoms I have read. Jennifer is a new to me author, but I am excited to read more from her! Tap That is an enemies to lovers story with all the feels and some very laugh out load moments.
Callie Anderson wants to stand on her own two feet and be successful. He parents have never been the supportive type and expect her to conform to what they want. She is determined to follow her own path. The only problem? She has a secret and it’s a big one! But she is determined to fake it until she makes it as the new manager trainee at On Tap, a local brewery.
Reid Morgan has been the top bartender at On Top for a while now and is determined to be their next manager. This is the next step before putting his plan in place. But he is blindsided when the position is offered to someone else, someone he feels may not be qualified for it. He is determined to prove the job should be his.
The minute Callie and Reid meet, Reid is determined to see Callie fail. But what neither expected as they took shots at each other was the intense attraction they felt for the other. Both attempted to avoid each other at all costs. But some things are unavoidable. As they mingle business with pleasure, what happens when only one of them can come out on top?
I loved Callie. She was strong, and determined, but also hid a vulnerable side. Reid was a great guy, to everyone but Callie. He was cocky and aggravated Callie at every turn. I loved their banter! Both gave as good as they received. The characters were so likeable, and I especially loved Reid’s grandma and friends, they were a hoot! Tap That was such a fun and sexy read!
4.5 stars! Loved it.
Happy reading!
This was a great read by RC bolt and Jennifer Blackwood. I could not put down this book. It was funny with hot. Callie and Reid had great chemistry and they were both trying for the same management job at tap that bar. I have read RC Bolt before but have not read Jennifer Blackwood I may have to find more of her books this was such a great read.
I am not a big beer drinker but would I love to have Reid pour me a cold tall one. I can hardly believe how hot this story is and that there are two authors. R. C. Boldt and Jennifer Blackwood were able to write a seamless, humorous but definitely sexy story about two manager hopefuls, vying for the same job in a local bar. Callie is the “newbie” who appears to have swooped in to jump into the manager trainee position, while Reid has been striving to obtain this same position for the past few years. He can’t believe it was within his grasp only to be snatched from his hands by this beautiful sexy lady. Yes, he is attracted to her but he wants this job more than anything. Can he resist the pull he feels for her to obtain what he has been working for all this time? It’s a battle of the sexes and to see who will end up on tap
Loved this book! I am a sucker for an enemies to lover storyline and this book did not disappoint. The tension between these two was so hot and sexy. I liked Reid’s friend Grayson and hope that he gets a story too. The ending was a perfect blend of Reid and Callie and was a great way to end.
Tap That by R.C. Boldt & Jennifer Blackwood is co-written enemies to lovers romance that was hot, angsty and slightly addictive. Told in dual POV between Reid and Callie we get to see their relationship build, crash and re-build before all is said and done.
Reid is ready for the manager’s position that has recently opened up at On Tap, the micro-brewery bar that he has worked at for the past few years. Callie comes in and steals Reid’s thunder. So naturally, he is less than impressed with this interloper, despite how pretty she is. It only gets more interesting for the reader, and more precarious for Callie, when Reid realizes she doesn’t even LIKE beer! She is an imposter and a fraud.
Callie made an agreement with her stuffy parents for whom nothing is ever good enough that if, after graduation, she cannot keep this managerial position at On Tap that she will agree to work for them at their company. This is the LAST thing she wants to ever in the history of last things ever. So adding “Beer Connoisseur” to her resumé was just a small fib, right? She thought (and hoped) so until Reid called her out on it, thankfully only to her and NOT their boss. If he wasn’t so good-looking it might be easier to hate him and ignore him.
The chemistry between these two is off the charts. Like the pages sizzled with it. Their back and forth is understandable, they are literally both vying for the same position and are both equally motivated to win it. But when they realize they aren’t only compatible sexually but they REALLY get along in other aspects of their life, the monkey wrench thrown at them by their boss ruins everything…almost.
Well-paced, well-written with a happy ever after I really liked this romance. Enjoy!
This was such a good, sexy story!!! There were moments I wanted to hate Reid, but then he would do something that would make me fall for him all over again. Callie was perfect. She never backed down, and never really put up with what he dished to her. When they came together, the pages heated up, and made you want more of them! The ending was absolutely perfect. I would definitely recommend one clicking!!
