In New York Times bestselling author Emma Chase’s sizzling and hilarious debut novel, Drew Evans–gorgeous, arrogant, irreverent, and irresistibly charming–meets his match in new colleague Kate Brooks. Drew Evans is handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for … his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed? He’ll tell you he has the flu. But we all know that’s not really true.
Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.
Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.more
This is a classic and one of my fave all time books!
Ever since I’ve stumbled upon Tangled years ago, I’ve been hooked on Emma Chase. Tangled is just a perfect combination of humor, romance, sexiness and sass. I’ve fallen deep in love with this story and the characters.
Drew Evans no doubt became my very first book boyfriend and he has stayed at the top ever since. Drew takes my breath away with …
Funny, sexy, and unputdownable
Hands down one of the best male POV’s written STILL- to this date. I know I keep recommending “older” books, but man are they still good! Tangled was, and still is, brilliantly crafted.
I forgot how much I LOVE THIS BOOK! I first read it a 2 or 3 years ago. I believe I got it as a Kindle promo. I recently purchased a paper back copy of Twisted but it’s been a while so I decided to re-read Tangled first and boy am I glad I did. It’s a great, funny, easy read with characters who are extremely likeable. I love Drew and Kate equally. …
I loved this book
One cute story. The storyline’s simple and adorable. Even better, because its told from Drew’s point of view. Not per chapter, but the whole book.
I like Kate and her guts to challenge Drew. She didn’t back down when Drew annoyed her. She’s fierce!
But it’s kind of irritate me because even though this book’s is from Drew’s point of view, it’s …
I friggin love this book so much! Drew Callahan has entered my book boyfriend list! He’s charming, funny and a major asshole.
I’m very aware of how this book showcases a misogynistic representation primarily Because it was written in a Male POV.
But entertainment and narrative-wise this is so good. And I get why this book received all the praise …
Listened to the audiobook. LOVED IT! Loved the story and the reader. Literally laughed out loud several times. Can’t wait for the next one.
Love this book! Have read it at least twice and highly recommend!
This is one of my all time favorite books. It’s so well written and it’s so freaking funny.
Drew is one of my all time favorite male characters. Kate is such a strong female character. This couple is really amazing together! And Emma is really good when she adds kids to the stories.
It was my first Emma’s book and she got me as a fan since then.
*5 Stars*
I really enjoyed this one. At first, I wasn’t too sure, but suddenly I was so engrossed in this, and the rivalry and connection between the two main characters, that I was just devouring it.
Drew and Kate’s journey was one that I really enjoyed, and I look forward to continuing the series as soon as I am able to.
I had no idea what to expect from this book. What a wonderful surprise! I loved the internal dialog throughout this work, and went on to read the next two books in the series. I found the writing creative and fresh, and the whole experience totally absorbing. Just when you think it’s all been done in Romance, something new comes along.
Incessant and unrealistic inner monologue by the male protagonist who spends more time reaffirming Freud’s phallic developmental cycles and thinking with his crotch than I have seen in any other book. Extremely off-putting to have more than half the book wasted on meaningless, cocky drivel.
Still one of my favorite series – my review from 2015:
What a wonderful week I’ve had bing- listening on Audible to the three books about Drew and Kate’s love story! I have laughed so hard but yelled at both of them many times for their stupidity. At times they were a train wreck waiting to happen. In this last episode, I was terrified Drew would …
Emma Chase did an awesome job in writing this book in a male’s POV. Loved how the character, Drew tells us about his love affair with Katie and at the same time gives us ladies advise on men. This is a must read. Can’t wait to read the next book in this serie.
I loved the Drew! This author takes funny and witty to a new level! Emma Chase is a master at romance and humor.
Tangled is the first romance I “read” on audio. A friend recommended it, as I’m at a point where I’m starting to consider the audiobook world, and she told me she loved this narrator, Sebastian York. Well, first, let me say, the guy rocked the narration. There I was, walking around the park, day after day, with my dog laughing out loud looking …
I had mixed feelings starting Tangled by Emma Chase since the story is told in the hero’s POV. This was one of my first books where it was only said in the hero’s POV, so it took me a while to get into this book, especially since the hero came off as a jerk. I don’t like heroes that are jerks and manwhores, and that is what Drew is the first half …
Finally, an actual groveling.
As in, the satisfying kind.
